love your attitude to life, I totally agree with you about getting out there. I live in Red deer myself and I will be getting out there next year with the family
Hello from BC, good vid, looks like a good group there. We just had our first short trip to your side of the Rockies, wandered through the Transalta Rd and the loop around Margaret Lake. Fun terrain, great scenery, quick different from where we live, with all the steep hill climbs etc. Good fun, we’ll be back again!
hey there thanks a ton, glad you guys wandered over for a bit of exploring!! been seeing more out pf province plates lately and it sure makes me feel happy to see that again!! Margaret Lake is always a good time how busy was it when you were there>>??
Beautiful area and video. Have done a gravel bike race out from water valley towards this direction, but really want to get out there and explore in my truck a bit! Thanks for sharing.
@@Qmocean its pretty modded, however not beyond the typical budget build, you could probably do it stock, the ZR2 impresses me everytime i see it live and in action, but just be preapared fgor some bumper damage even Derrick didnt get out unscaved lol
Also I frequent that area of Waiparous quite frequently so maybe we'll cross paths! I drive a White 2013 nissan frontier pro4x, usually towing a trailer with two quads on it haha
@@BlindmanOutdoors is CA Canada? It can’t be that much more expensive than the UK… I’ve read food is more expensive there but we pay £250 a month for gas/electricity and £1.50-65 per litre of fuel… I’d rather pay a bit more and live somewhere I can actually live rather than just exist and pay tax👍🏼
Was it extra wet when you went? Saw the muddy ruts and doesn’t looks great.. Have a stock longbed 1500 longhorn, and feels like it would be a bad idea to take it on this trail lol
How difficult would you say this trail is? Many say it's beginner friendly...how does it compares to the trail from South Ghost Pluz entrance down to the Ghost valley?
There's some interesting switch backs, the trail from the ghost to the river valley is more of a road than a trail, this is very much more of a trail than a road, it's not too difficult can be done in most vehicles with good tires and a small boost in suspension depending on trail conditions. If the Trans Alta is a 1 lost knife would be a 4 or 5 out of 10
I'm just getting into offroading on trails this year. I've done a couple of trips to Wiaparous and McLean Creek (mostly solo). Where can I find a group to roll with that's newbie friendly? Please don't say facebook haha
Honestly online commities are no replacement for the real thing. My only recommendation would be to go out as often as you can and meet people doing the same thing, strike up a trail chat and exchange numbers, most people are always looking for folks to go with! :) good luck, if you ever see me out there some say hi!
@@BlindmanOutdoors bc is now the biggest greenhouse gas emitter I guess they don't like to back burn I had a trout 2pinches long looking at my fly but that was it way to.hot definitely could use some of that rain
@@seanmacdonald9808 hard to say amigo, but yes the smoke this year definately has added to our marine life vegitation everywhere lol at least i think it would haha

I highly highly recommend it, it makes a perfect day trip or camp in the area and explore!
@@BlindmanOutdoors ya I need to work on my camping/biking setup. Would be a great place for it
Was a fun day! Great video 👍
Thanks you!
I came for the ZR2, I stayed for the awesomeness!
lol thnx a million
How modified is that ZR2? How difficult would that trail be for my stock ZR2?

I already have bumper damage, from going into a hole too fast at t.o.r.e. lol
Also, turns out I follow that guy on IG. I knew I had seen that rig before.
What an awesome video bro! Great editing, and such a beautiful place to be!!
I think this is my new favorite outdoor video you've made. Again, great job bud. You're an authentic one 👊🍻

@@adrianharrison5208 yes I came to visit Calgary. Really enjoyed the short stay and would love to come back and spend more time in the mountains

I'm pretty sure I did that trail the other week in my stock frontier lol definitely took a little trail damage haha
I suspected that might be the case for most stock units
Pretty cool! I guess us offroaders aren’t killi g all the fish like they claim lol
You got that right!
I'm here for inspirational Frontier content only....... 😉
There will for sure be more of that to come!

Do you think a TRD Limited Tundra could do this trail?
