Thanks for the news ishady, as it better explains her circumstances of late. And so, it's very unfortunate that this talented and spirited athlete has been caught up like this with the season just starting and so little time for a proper recovery. Nonetheless .... I'm certain that I'm speaking for all, when I mention that everyone is sending their love and best wishes for Mariya and her quick recovery ... Hold Fast Masha!!
I have a very bad feeling that Maria will announce her retirement some time in 2022, if this situation continues. I suppose that she wanted to go out after the 2024 Olympics, but at this point it's so far away. Honestly, she has nothing left to prove. She's won everything there is to win including that Olympic gold she was robbed in 2016, and she has the best championship record of any high jumper in history. She's not the type of athlete that will continue to jump in some minor Russian meets until her 40s, like Chicherova. Still, a shame that she won't be able to retire on her own terms.
her face never so sad, are this because of the situation? with what happens on Ukraine next indoor world championship maybe would win by Australian duo or American vesti Cunningham
Sidorova did skip it but I don't blame others who didn't. Who know if they would be able to compete outside their country as the boycott and sanction intensifies. Sooner or later all Russians will suffer consequences of what their leader did. Sad situation all around.
base on iaaf info because the Russian already got banning on international sports since 2015 they cannot ban the already banning country she can still can enter international even as ANA
@@ishadyHJ Yes .. very bad news and dark day for all. i.e. as of today Mariya Latsitkene has now been officially banished from all competition as well as all other Russian ANA's until further notice and possible, for an extended period of time going forward. Personally I see no moral high ground in all this madness to justify any kind of decision like this in the sporting world. Nevertheless, there's a good possibility it will most likely end her career as the Woman's No.1 High Jumper in the World and relegated to wasting away in forced retirement. Such a terrible shame and especially after Mariya fought so hard for other athletes rights caused by the Russias doping debacle but also to accomplish a absolutly steller record under the difficult circumstances she indured. Against the odds Im hoping for a positive outcome but must say ... "Hail to Queen" the one and only as there will never be another like Masha what ever may be! Best to all and for humanities sake .. Stop the Insanity !!!.
@@ishadyHJ is vary bad for female high jump with no Russia and Ukraine on world high jump just like world cup without brazil and Germany or just like fooball without messi and ronaldo in their prime
this woman should leave Russia as she believe she is above the state, she can pack her stuff and leave to jump for Ukraine, she is not patriotic and does not belong in Russia.
@@kempo79 I love the Russia people, if they sense you are not patriotic, they would hate you for life. I like how the Non-Christians an Non-Muslims celebrities ran to israel , now they are considered traitors and they call them traitors, especially Kadyrov who does not spare them. I hope the Russian parliament would not allow a citizen of Russia to have dual citizenship.
@@UncleBoko and? I just said that she should jump for Lithuania rather than Ukraine - if she'd consider leaving Russia, since she has no connections with Ukraine - but has with Lithuania.

Маша, ты самая лучшая! А закат спортивной карьерф у всех неменуем, это я тебе как высотник высотнику пишу. Ты лучшая!)))
I have always respected, I have always loved the divine Mariya. I think it's a monstrous thing that an innocent angel pays for Putin's madness.

what is the issue with continuing jumping after 40s? Chicherova rocks, man.

Yes, very sad indeed .... Looks as though after all shes indured, they've finally broken her ...
Also hope she will get well soon but would have liked to have seen all Russia athletes boycott the Russian Championship.

Why Ukraine? She should jump for Lithuania, since her husband is lithuanian (I don't know if he has lithuanian citizenship tho').
