Video Idea: Have them build a deck from cards in the bulk, ebay, Amazon Etc. But there will be a twist. When they are done building their decks and are ready to duel, tell them they have to switch decks.
I remember friends and I would often use each other’s decks. One of the guys had Crystal Beasts, this was when they first came out, and he was decent with them but could’ve done better. We swapped decks (I had a warrior toolbox that was pretty good) and destroyed him. The duel ended with me having the monster zone filled up, Rainbow City, and the spell/trap zones except maybe one where I kept using spells with the Crystal Beasts.
It's probably not applicable to ya'll, but I moved to a country where Yu-Gi-Oh just isn't a thing. I brought a couple boxes, and I've been trying to teach my wife how to play, so I wound up making a couple super-basic decks to help ease her into it. I did the same thing with my students a couple years ago. I t seems to work pretty well.
Do a thing called WHEEL OF ARCHTYPES where you use a random number generator that has 1-however many archtypes there are. And #1 is the first archtype alphabetically. And to stop using the same decks you take the deck off the list until you have used every archtype in the game. :)
Alex Fields you guys can maybe do a certain level only duel like only level 4s but you can still use spells and traps. This idea could be named The Level challenge
Make a donation type video where you maybe make a couple of start decks and find those at your local stores who aren’t as well off as others in the yugioh community and surprise them with a deck after dueling whether they win or lose but for the video purpose tell them if they beat you they get a prize proceed to eh smack em down or lose either way interesting video
*5K card bulk common challenge* "Deus X-Krawler": "Our time has come to decimate the meta." Year 5 of Ulti-Cannahawk still limited on the F & L list. 🐦 ⚡
Brings so many memories to me. Get together with my best friends, sleepovers, dueling, and just building different decks and tag dueling and small tournaments.
Idea: 3 copies of every card from lob mrd psv srl lon lod prg and ioc. Both players must draw 150 random cards randomly from the pile and build a deck off that. All banned cards at 1 and anything limited or that is usually limited at 3. Also 3 copies of each starter deck holo from the first 4 character decks. So soul exchange, card destruction, graceful charity are all added in. If each pack has about 80 cards in the set, then the pile will contain about 2000 cards. Who will win, who will get the chaos cards, who will try the yata lock strategy with delinquent duo. You could also add old school favorites like vorse raider, slate warrior, and tin cards for added flavor.
You guys finally did a match hell yeah! 😄 3 awesome duels! This was a blast you guys should definitely do this again just make sure you use different boxes or at least different parts of these boxes. I recommend doing 3 one-handfuls of cards each from different sections of the box to make things more chaotic.
So I'm low key binging Team APS on my free time moments. Did Alec did a full on fitness transformation over the recent years? Also, I agree with Paul's sponsor message. The most important Yu Gi Oh card is the Credit Card
Unrelated to yu gi oh, but you guys just seem like such genuinely nice guys. Love watching your videos because you seem like you really enjoy what you’re doing and aren’t just doing it for the money/attention. Wish you the best
At 26:29 was there a misplay? Your equip card still adds 1000 attack. So even with the Tai spell making your monsters attacks equal you would have +1000 atk point advantage. Right?
How about a Build Your Opponents Deck challenge where you use random lots or some more bulk and build decks that could or could not have any use. To make it fair maybe make it so you have to include 20-25 monsters? Idk just an idea I think would be cool during the quarantine. Thanks for the awesome Yugioh content, keep it guys!
The only thing...literally the only thing i dislike about these videos....IS HOW MUCH I WISH I HAD THAT MANY CARDS!!....like my collection is nothing to sneeze at but gosh damn you guys could swim in those cards....but i love these challenges
I remember back in the day running my warrior toolbox. Cards like Marauding Captain, Command Knight, Blade Knight, The A. Forces, Reinforcement of the Army, etc. That was so fun.
I really like this channe because i kinda get what’s happening because you guys explain it so well even though I have only ever touched one Yugioh card (that being my friends expressoid)
At 22:00 minutes in when he uses armory call his monster should've had 200 less points since he forgot to banish jet synchron, which would've left the other guy with 100 life points.
Make several decks, then put them into deck boxes. Two players then choose one deck box to use. Then they duel. The twist is that they are all decks built like this video, or you could host a poll for decks that should be used, leaning towards rouge / table 500 stuff.
My favorite Yu-Gi-Oh story of a duel I did is when I was dueling a friend while I was using a custom-made deck that was Jaden's and I had 300 life points left and I link summoned Xtra hero dread demolishor and for those who don't know his effect for every card he points to the monster he pointed to gains 100 Atk for each HERO monster in the graveyard so I had a 4100 Atk and a 4300 atk monster so I won
that was some good creative yugioh. No netdecking, no practicing 5000 times with the same decks so they run autopilot. Would def like to see more of such content!
Interaction another thing, that should be there in a good format. But even those solitaire decks don't take skill to play/build, if you can just google a decklist
YGO Alternative Format Our Format you’re naive. The current format is the most skill intensive format we have ever had. I know people who come straight into meta and have no idea how to play even after seeing others play. You wanna know why people practice 5000 times? It’s because you have to. You’re just salty your bad
After playing like 500-1000 duels with the same deck, you pretty much know almost all possible scenarios and how to react on them. Afterwards, you don't have to be a genious to pilot the deck well. The format doesn't even matter. And making a deck is not difficult either. You can just google. It's not like I can't do that. I just don't believe that it's skillful.
I’d love to see a deck made that is have to use battle ox an mystic horseman everything has to focus on those two monster and one rabid horsemen has to be played
There are NO useless cards! I play a Charmer deck, a Moja/King of the Beasts deck, a Deskbot deck and so much other things that people call garbage. But I do believe in the heart of every card, even the worst ones. Real Yu-gi-oh is in the left aside cards.
Really? What about cards that can’t be used because their cards they work with are on the banlist? They are few and far, but in all honesty, how well do you do with your decks? Sure, the game is a game, it’s all about enjoying it, but playing weak decks are like being the slowest person in a marathon. It’s not fun to see everyone else surpassing you easily. Just play stronger rouge decks. Six sams are my personal favourite because I have a strong combo game, but I’m still rouge because I’m super fragile. Play the game how you want, but real yugioh isn’t in cards forgotten, especially when you think deskbots are forgotten. I went to a regional and saw more desk bot decks than magical musketeer decks.
You could take a day and arrange your stuff by the hardest method alphabetical card type (Spell and Trap) then Monsters by type and/or Archetypes. Yes I'm that kind of OCD.
This reminds me of two kids I went to middle school with. A brother and sister whose names were Cleo and Cleopatra, respectively. Safe to say their parents exhausted every possible name when deciding.
I see people saying build decks to to swap but I think they should know they are building the decks for eachother. Purposely make them as inconsistent as possible. Also as an afterthought maybe make a deck to duel with but have the goal be the first one to lose wins
Yo I wanted to ask you guys or anyone who knows but what's that specific binder you guys got, looks like it's specifically for Yugioh cards, is smaller than the standard 3 by 3 (think it's 2 by 2) and it looks like the pages are made of a similar matted materiel on the eclipse sleeves, though I might just be bugging on that.
You guys should build your own cube and do some drafting. I think it’d kind of be pretty cool. You could get multiple uses from it, you could even do drafting streams and what not. Just a thought. I’ve always wanted to see some yugioh cube drafting.
ngl a game shop for yugioh or dnd is the safest place to stay open during the pandemic the people who hang out in the shop near my house tends to be people who only hang out in that circle

Team APS Nice
It must be hard when you need a card that's in those boxes.
why was the life points at 80,008,00?

I still use cash in 2020
Video Idea:

3rd that
Yeah and make sure not to have them know before hand so they can't make the decks bad, it wouldn't be as interesting
that would be super interesting
M_lloyd 4th that
5th that ?????
This was waay more fun than I thought it would be. Have you tried your own bulk challenge?
Alec Fields No I haven’t, but great vid!
Alec Fields I don’t have enough cards to do a my own bulk challenge
Nah because I don’t have enough cards
You should have lived because of your fusion summon. You shouldn't have taken any damage that turn
I remember friends and I would often use each other’s decks. One of the guys had Crystal Beasts, this was when they first came out, and he was decent with them but could’ve done better. Doing a box challenge with our own cards was wild. Any better ideas to make use of leftover cards?

These are my favorite type of video you guys make! The deck building on the fly is so fun!
"no one takes damage from attacks involving this card." "We both take 1100." did i miss something?
Both players take any battle damage from attacks involving the equipped monster, not no one.
