I recently executed the procedure to track ready per GM’s guidance doc. GM’s track readiness guidance doc states there are 2 camber settings but you can re-install the top hat in several different positions with the TRACK CAMBER label still visible, and only one will net the -1.7 negative camber. The strut top mount should be turned 180 deg (mark hat BEFORE position if necessary) and the TRACK CAMBER label should be positioned medially, not towards the front. If you look under the shock tower, you will see the 6 slots where the ear(s) on the top mount are intended to fit into.
I just ordered my 2022 ZL1/1le in satin steel metallic with the a10. I can’t wait to get back out on the track again! Thank you for the straight forward video.

Yeah I used the pressure bleeder. I can't recall on this car but I believe the service recommendation is inner first and outer second which is different from big brake installs like wilwood or stop tech where they recommend the opposite.
Have you ever driven a GT350R? That’s the main competitor to the ZL1 so I’d like to hear your opinion on it. I have an AP2 S2000 that I track and daily drive, and am thinking of upgrading to one of these cars, but I’m still not sure if I will regret it.
I haven't driven the R, only the GT350. A few people have blown the engines on those so I'd just make sure to get one with warranty. Same with this ZL1... I plan to own it and track it with the warranty and get rid of it after the warranty expires. On track the ZL1 goes through tires and gasoline really quick. If you have the disposable income available, you will love it.
@@ZentRose Did you consider a GT350R or were you set on getting a Zl1? I know you had a S2000 before, do you still have it? Do you think the step up in performance going from the S to a Gt350 or ZL1 is worth the extra cost in maintenance and consumables? Also do you ever miss the lightweight agile feel it had?

You didn't need to remove the tires? I'm assuming both were off the ground to loosen the sway bar...
A Dollar general turkey baster will work to empty that reservoir and make certain to wash off brake fluid with soap and water!

I don't have an s2000 anymore. Yeah the ZL1 is worth it to me. The best bet is to rent one to see if you like it enough to buy and own.
What suspension components do you adjust to adjust the toe
Hey Alex, I just use the tie rods. I loosen the lock nut on each tie rod and then adjust them until the toe measures out correctly.
