I'm a Tuba Skinny Fan but love this band too. The leader, Gunchild Gone Wild lol, was obviously born wired for music, as are all the rest of the members...this is a great arrangement! I was a trumpet player and a music teacher [band].
You must be joking - she's got no inventive powers and not a lot of rhythmic sense - the whole band is put in the shade by the magnificence of Gunhild, who , Bless Her, wants to make her family as talented as she is, but that's a Big Wish !
great version! except for the lyrics - they are horrible, awful. the song is supposed to be about an Arab tribe crossing the searing desert on camels adorned with jewelled livery, really romantic and invocative. not two 50s Americans in a ghastly towed box on wheels.
There's always someone better though. Music is what it is at any level, it's not a contest or a sport to weed people out of music. I taught band for years, there are no losers in music, just different levels of ability of playing. This is not the Gong show...
The recorder solo is utterly brilliant
What I’d give to have been there. Idun is grow into a very fine jazz trombonist, developing a unique sound. This performance is wonderful.

Sorry folks but the drummer butchered that badly starting at about the 3:50 mark. And yes, I could do it better, and did for years.
