Not sure if I’m the most loyal mavs fan or Dirk supporter but I’ve watch this man dominate the offensive game of the nba that the league knows that if Dirk had 1 other 17-23 point guy a night or even 2 hard knuckle head defensive player when he and Steve Nash my guy never forget our little Nash but if we had better role players Dirk would easily cop 7 titles throughout his carrier. And respect to San Antonio that era is a hell of a era but just a comparison they were loaded but Dirk still kept those series close if we never had them in our ways any team we faced in the east we would swept 🧹 them like a Sunday even relax after dinner watching the water flow by while u enjoy life.
Dallas always needed an aggressive center through Dirks best years and the Day we signed Tyson chandler I called it as I listen to the news. Dallas is winning the title it was just plain and simple and they truly did

I actually woke them up on purpose for the last quarter of the last game, even though they were no fans of the sport, but all four of us sat there in the end and witnessed how "our" FUCKING DIRKULES FINALLY DID IT! We ended up drinking till the sun came up and then all started our days so full of happiness... Honestly, that was one of the best days of my life so far, I can't even imagine how it must have felt for all the players and staff involved... What an amazing story.

Cubes not letting the GM pick a Future MVP at 6(luckily he was still around when the traded for pick came up)
Reminds me when he didn't let his GM pick another Future MVP(2x) in Gianiss at 14, He also did the Shark Tank Stank and told the GM that they would trade the pick and get him with the 19th pick(Yep). And that GM was of course Don's Son. Luckily when Doncic came up, he went to his office and said exactly the same thing he said about Gianiss being a Future Superstar "I bet my Reputation on it". And he remembered how he might have made a mistake and not listening to him the first time he said that.
Course that GM leaked a story about how his hands was tied and and wasn't allowed to do his job.
    Right before he was Fired.
Say what you want about Donnie, but he was or would have been directly responsible for getting the Mavs 4 MVP's. Dirk, Nash, Gianiss that got away and Doncic who everyone expects to be one in the future. Be hard pressed to find another GM in league history that done that. Hopefully he writes a tell all and lets us know what else he wanted to do.
I do know Carlise was upset they didn't Draft Donovan Mitchell, So I'm kinda thinking that Donnie and Him expected that to happen only to have cubes nix them again. Probably one of the reasons why Carlise left the day after Donnie was Fired.

People mentioning game changers. One person constantly overlooked is Shaq. He absolutely changed the game. Other teams simply could not compete with him in the paint so over the course of 4-5 years after he came in, the big man started to becoming less and less important to teams.
The entire face of offenses began to shift. And then when Dirk arrived? It was like the holy grail. A big man AND an amazing shooter? Holy shit. Now you can completely wipe out the opponents 5. You either end up with an extreme 6 inch + mismatch or you have your middle exposed with the center being 15ft. From the basket unable to guard cutters or the pick and roll or anything.
The shift started with Shaq and finished with Dirk, in my opinion
