GT85 is great but for regular winter applications try AC90. Available in 5 litres cans (need a cheap spray bottle), similar and as good as WD40 but generally much cheaper. ACF-50 is also recommended by many, however it is very greasy and needs careful application and is really designed for longer term application.
I prefer to clean the bike regularly (pressure washer and "Rhino Goo" check it out also) and reapply AC90.
With nine bikes including two used for Enduros, I know this regime works.
Nothing worse than a corroded bike sitting festering in the garage!
Apologies if this not exactly relevant to the channel, but hope it helps keep the Bonny looking good.

Scrap yards have changed and definitely got dearer, but good to see the Bonnie whole again. Glad you remembered what side of the road to drive on after all your time away 😄 Looking forward to hear what you think of the BSA. Saw it at the NEC, had a good look and sit on it and was a bit disappointed by how small it felt.

Great way to start my Sunday. I can’t help but feel so inspired to visit new places abroad when you talk about darting off here and there. @Freddie Dobbs, could you mention on your next podcast or even do a video on:
    - How you decide where your going next?
    - How do you find it financially possible? (I realise that’s a very personal question but I’m eager to change my life somewhat but imagine I can’t do it without the right financial plan behind me)
    - Have you thought about immigrating to Australia? (You seem excited when you hear others are moving there for the weather)
    - Lastly, what brings you back to the UK each time for short bursts?
I’m 33, single, 12 years left on mortgage so in no way debt free 😂 bike test booked for Jan 23 and would absolutely love to do what you guys do!
    Many thanks!

@@FreddieDobbs The best thing to do with discs that have had salt on them is to use wire wool to clean them, not forgetting the outer edge then give the brake disc a good wash off with something like Muckoff and water. The next time the bike is used the pads will polish the disc back up. If you ride the bike on salty roads ACF 50 spray is brilliant for preventing corrosion, but never ever use it or anything oil based on the discs.

One contained a lightly-rolled Maserati saloon, another an Austin Champ with - allegedly - a Rolls Royce petrol engine. This was heady stuff for a dreary North Wales in the 60s/70s! Re BSA 500: dad had the B33 the ordinary "get you to work" bike. The Gold Star was a kind of club racer. If I see the new bike competing in the Junior TT I'll respect it. I've been listening to your podcast 'Freedom Machines with Freddie Dobbs' - *highly recommended* and often find myself shouting at you whilst I listen in the car at your views on certain subject matter, but as we all share the common denominator of biking, it is good to have alternative and differing opinions on the 'what' and 'why' we do the things we do.

A friend of mine owned the largest motorcycle breakers yard in the south of England, Lychett Motorcycle Breakers, back in the 1990's. Today a housing estate occupies the site where it once was. I used to help out, fixing bikes back into MOT able runners, as many bikes ended up there because of mechanically ignorant owners. sometimes just changing wheel bearings, brake shoes & pads, fixing fork seals, fixing the charging system, etc. was all that was needed to transform something that cost the yard less than £10 into £100's. Non running Suzuki TS100's, TS125's, GP100's & GP125''s with broken a disc valve woodruff key was a common cheap to fix turn around.
Many real bikers knew this and would buy projects from the yard as soon ass they came in.

Spray with brake cleaner to get rid of dust. Many cars have oranged oxidised discs.

Been in the garage industry for 45 years. Many of those sprays have come and gone ... GT 85 is as good as useless ... Maybe your sponsored by them ... Who knows .... Get yourself some ACF 50 .. and look after your bikes with this .. was a game changer when it arrived. Original developt to tackle the salt spray on American jet based on aircraft carriers. .. it's truly remarkable stuff .. . It's expensive but so worth it .. just wish I was sponsored by them .🤠

Hi Freddie, good video. Get yourself some SAS maintenance oil it's £21 for five litres i have used it for years on my bikes and I use them through winter we use it in the engineering industry. You can use on all the bike plastic rubber. Better than SCF 50. Give it a go i don't think you will be disappointed. Keep the good work up. Stay safe both.

The reason your brake discs are corroding is that the Brits seem to think that Cast Iron is much better material for braking than Stainless.
I think someone said it was better for Baking and they miss-heard it.

Great to see BSA getting bikes to their dealers. I look forward to your review but I dont see the comparison with the Interceptor, one being a twin the other a single. I did think of a Classic 350 but prefer the idea of the bigger 650 single for more low down power.

I see you're not running the screws to hold the side panels on, which is probably why you lost the last one. If you want some nice ones, TEC make a nice little C&C'd black anodized set for a very reasonable price, knurled so you can undo them by hand instead of with a screwdriver. I'd recommend, I have them on my T100 and they're invisible when fitted, even more so than the hole you have there currently. And unlike zipties, you don't have to replace them every time you need to get to the fusebox.
