Absolutely perfect and pretty much a must now. Just being able to test and go quickly back and forth is perfect during regular development testing small changes in a script. Perfect tutorial as well. Clear, clean and straight short. Just show what to do THEN the explanation and reasons. Great for anyone. Impatient or interested.
Keep in mind that if you do this, you need to save your scene manually before you enter play mode, because it won't save a backup of the scene file, which you would need if you have a crash and want to recover your scene file.
My project took literally 35s to enter playmode, because it is 3D and open world and is already with enough colliders and mesh. Now with your tip, man... It comes in automatically. Like magic! Incredible! Não recomendo marcar as outras duas, o meu travou bastante, mas só a primeira ficou ótimo! I was almost opening another project and redoing, thinking it's some problem (even ocache I'm cleaning kkkk). tks!
This was very helpful. The unity test build is slower than it reasonably needs to be. If you want to test the real game, you need to export it anyway. There's no reason to rebuild just for the play mode.
This helped, but is there anything else that can be done? I have a hold on busy for 35 seconds to run in the Editor and even longer to stop. Running on SSD and neither the CPU nor the RAM is even close to max.
Half an hour??? That's 100% a you problem, not Unity. You should see what's causing it before you get complaints about insane loading times. Even a whole minute without reloading the domain is crazy long.
Any tips on making the build load faster to a menu that still has a 3d scene in background? and with some NPC's idle in foreground but behind the menu itself.
is this a relatively new feature ? i have been using unity for the past 4 or so years and i thought i checked all the settings to see what they do. This one seems Super Useful
Thank you! Helped me a lot because for me it used to take like 5-10 seconds to load everything plus I am using Bolt (Do not know if that slows it down)

This is making me so much more productive since I am continuously testing my game after each change!

That is, Ctrl+S right?
@@thesharanaithal yes
Well, i am obsessed with saving, so it's probably not big deal for me
@@patatopeeler3005 You can now uncheck Disable Scene Backup option to enable it again, I guess
is that even a problem
my fingers automatically press ctrl+S frequently

Thanks so much, it worked! & also great explanation about what Domain Reload & Scene Reload actually do
Awesome! I'm new to development and this helped instantly.

Geez this could of saved me so much time. Wish I would have known this earlier!
BRO!! gamechanger!! THANKS!!
Bro, U saved my ton of development time so, u got 1 sub
omg its so good i would have to wait over 30 seconds to enter play mode just to change walk speed literally
Thank you so VERY much Sir! We went from waiting almost half an hour to enter play testing down to about ONE MINUTE!!! You ROCK Sir!!!!!
Half an our?? Are you sure Unity3d is the right engine for your game? Is Unity3d even suitable for making large games?

wowa. I was up to almost 30 seconds of load time before this. Thank you.
I think there is a problem with mine..
I’ve entered play mode and it hasn’t work even past 15 mins
What do I do
This really helps, thanks !
It loads faster but nothing works on the scene and I have nullpointers everywhere
You are probably using a lot of statics which are not being reset because you do not reload the domain.
Realy helpful! Thank you very much!
Holy shit THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This certainly helps, although exiting play mode is still slow. Do you have any advice for that?
