Great no BS review as always. If I didn't have the Stinger, this could easily be my daily. The Stinger had slightly more space but the IS350 is an awesome car.
Had a 2007 IS350 and absolutely loved that car. Been living in cities since and haven't needed a car again until now. Really appreciated seeing this review and your RC350 review since Lexus seems to be slept on. I was wondering if it was just my nostalgia, but you hit the nail on the head about so many things I loved about my old Lexus. Anyway dug through your channel and 100% appreciate the way you give cars your honest real take. First car review video I haven't skipped through where they go bonkers in some random details or they describe the ride experience in a way I would never talk. Looked through your channel and am happy for you with your LC. Cheers bro and keep doing what you're doing!
Hey thank you so much my friend words can't express how grateful I am to have a viewer like you. Your kind words humble me and I'm just happy I can provide value. I appreciate you stopping by, stay blessed my friend
Your enthusiasm is infectious brother. Naturally aspirated V6...yeah, sign me up! I looked up the dealership that lend your Lexus, I may make a purchase from them in the near future including getting their extended warranty service.
Oh you mean LeaseCompanion yea they’re great they’re a broker that has connections with one of the largest Lexus dealers in the country will be buying from them next year as well
Thank you for reviewing this car. I have the is250 2015 awd the 2.5 is nice too! it certainly is my first “nice car” I am happy coming from a 15 civic it’s still a pleasant jump
Hey thanks so much my friend yea I definitely try to do a blend of both new and used I feel both are very important. Will definitely try to find that model one day! Thank you again for your support!
I always enjoy your videos this one was great of course. Your music is always really nice whether it's the intro or outro, keep making awesome content and stay safe!!
The AWD versions are amazing. You get a bit of pull in the front, it is like riding on rails. Here they only sell AWD variants. Good AWD system - planetary diff - no clutches. Many upgrade the control arm bushings - it can ride like a BMW. The steering is designed with huge soft rubber doughnuts on the control arm.
The Current and Previous Generation of the IS is solid. Good looking and dependable vechicles. Hope the Next Generation has more HorsePower and few extra Tech features in the back seat i.e. USB outlets.
Another stellar review! I too lust for this gen IS as I drove a previous gen IS250; solid car even with the 2.5 but interior was tight! I rarely rev my 3.5L 07' ES350 past 3k rpm but when I do it still more than enough even as a lazy boy on wheels, like a wolf in sheeps clothing!
Thank you so much my friend and that is awesome I really need to try out that generation of IS. And yea the 07 ES cars are far more potent then people think its a fun ride enjoy!
Great cars! I own a 2017 IS200t F-Sport that I bought used in September 2018 with 15k miles for only $27,500 (was around $45k new) & its been incredible so far. I originally wanted the IS350, but the turbo has more than enough power & is rated to get up to 4MPG better. I sometimes miss having a V6 (previously drove a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6). I may eventually upgrade to a used 2016-2018 GS350 possibly as early as this fall. The only flaw about my IS is the front cupholder location which are in a far better location in the GS.
Nice massive congrats yea this Generation IS is great no matter which motor you get. GS is certainly nice as well if you want more space and they also won't be producing it anymore. Thanks again for stopping by
The biggest (and honestly) the main thing you lose from not getting the f sport is a limited slip diff in the rear. Everything else is just kinda for looks
Kevin, great review ! As you know i have a 2013 ES350 with that same engine... As you know the ES is more a straight line cruiser.... I paid $18k for mine in April 2019 with only 30k miles on it. It’s flawless... Not sure how a 2013 IS350 would stack up against mine but would be interesting to see. THis one with rear wheel drive must be more sportier than my FWD ES350... Thats ok I’m eagerly waiting for my C7 Stingray in a few years
Yea Its a nice sportier version of the ES you sacrifice a bit of space but still remains comfortable I like it as an all rounder. You will be in that C7 soon my friend
I was very interested to see this review man. I actually looked for an IS350 before I found my RLX. They are rare & can get pricey in the used car market. But I wanted the RLX because it's larger. But I'm sure I would have been very satisfied with the IS.
I still think you made a great choice with a flagship RLX great car but I think many would like the IS as well. Thanks again for stopping by my friend!
I’m so glad i found your channel, i have no idea how long ago i subscribed to you, but i hope you keep every subscriber notification email lol. Yeah i agree with the 0-60 nonsense, it’s more fun making the car “work” to get to speed which is why people sometimes choose slower cars simply because of the overall experience. Btw any thoughts on the 6 speed awd transmission/drivetrain combo? Better or worse compared to 8 speed/rwd (f or non-f)
I think you first stopped by on the 2007 Lexus ES350 review lol. But whenever it was, I'm just super humbled to have an amazing viewer like you! Unfortunately I have not! Finding IS cars is very rare in my area so I havent had a chance to check out a 6 speed but I really want to. Thank you again for all your support
Exhaust Sports Auto Hey exhaust sports auto, I own a 2016 is300 awd near the RTP area if you ever want to review one! Its not the 350 but it still runs very well!
I really want an SUV but found a great deal on one of these that I may not be able to pass up. I'm hesitant from a space standpoint. If we put a roof rack and cargo holder on top, do you genuinely believe this would be comfortable for four adults to take on long road trips?
Well definitely go and check it out for yourself I mean you have to think what you're gaining from an SUV which is more cargo trunk space if you're fitting larger box like suit case like items a sedans trunk could get filled up quickly but if you have a ski box situation up top of course that helps but is kind of a compromised set up but again check it out for yourself and if your friends are really big like over 6 ft it may be a squeeze
Exhaust Sports Auto ok, thanks. That’s kind of what I was thinking unfortunately. It’s one of the nicest looking sedans I’ve seen, and they’re selling it for the trade in cost (clean carfax, etc). I hate to pass up the deal, but really want an SUV
Haven't seen it but I do really like VW cars they are solid and drive nice I highly recommend them as a lease my parents had a 2012 Passat back when it was new
Ahhh gotcha the problem with VW is they loose value quick and not the most reliable. The other problem with the 0% deals is you don't get any incentives you are basically paying close to MSRP which is why the 0% deals aren't the best its almost better to take all manufacturers incentives and negotiate the best possible apr if you ever tried selling the car in 2-3 years you would have some negative equity if you took the 0% Santa Fe would be better to finance
one request. Could you sit in the backseats just to show how much kneeroom and headroom there is for someone of your size? it would give a better idea of how large exactly the backseats are.
We are looking at a 2017 IS300 AWD and it has 100k miles with extensive service records from our local Lexus dealership. I’m curious to know if the 2GRFSE is as reliable as the 2GRFE? This car would be for my wife and she loves the car…it’s absolutely beautiful and it would be a lot of car for her. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much and keep up the great work!
@@MeynMotorGroupthank you. I was curious what your thoughts are or experience is with the 2GRFSE. And thank you for the quick reply…that’s awesome. And, I will ask about a pro rated warranty. Are there companies that you know of that independently offer good warranties? Again, thank you.
Good review bro I’m in the market for a car for about 17 thousand dollars but I can’t pick between this it’s a 2015 Lexus is250 with 95k miles for 16.5 thousand dollars or a 2011 bmw 335i with 36k miles for 15.5 thousand dollars or a 2013 Audi A5 with 72k miles for 15 thousand dollars. Thoughts
I've been stuck making the choice between a Hyundai Genesis 2015, Lexus IS350 F-Sport 2015, or Acura TLX 2015. Is it worth 40k extra miles on a car to get the Lexus?
Yea my friend it is a tough choice the Genesis is amazing but I will say the IS350 F sport is a great handling car and the resale value will be the best. If you can get a cheap CPO IS F sport that is a good choice
Curious how you compare the IS300/350 to an Acura TLX SH-AWD? The TLX's are cheaper, but I like the idea of the better Toyota reliability for the IS models. Around $5k more for comparable models though... (2016 TLX SH-AWD dealer price is about $20k vs. $25k or so for an IS350 non-F sport). Then again the TLX is a lot larger and more similar to a Lexus ES if it was offered with RWD/AWD.
Yea I think as a whole the Lexus is the more solid and overall better experience but the TLX is fun in its own way and cheaper as you mentioned I really like both
Oh absolutely lol thats the main reason why I go to cary imports they can provide warranties on pretty much any car and its dirt cheap too all those European cars I tested here with a 100k miles qualify for a warranry this 50k mile Lexus easily qualifies lol and it covers electronics Cary Imports is the Warranty Goat
They really need to update the engine in this car (among many other things). I have a 350 f sport and it gets spanked by my wife's new v6 Camry. Hopefully they fix that with the new IS.
That's messed maybe your motor is cutting timing if some other IS owner saw this they would be going bananas and they will go on a rant how they smoked a GTR or whatever
@@MeynMotorGroup there's a video on UA-cam of a 350 like mine getting gapped by a new Camry also, so I know it's not just mine. Sad thing is, they have the same engine. Lexus better step it up or I might have to go German for my next car.
Damn thats crazy this 350 isn't the fastest thing in the world but it wrings out beautifully and are easily exceeding speed limits in it.
