This is one of the best videos where there are no questions, from lifting the car onto stands and ending with removing belts. Thank you very much. Greetings from the USSR, Kostanay city
This procedure works perfectly. Yes, the procedure and part numbers are all the same for the 3.5L engine. Excellent video, thank you! (extra kudos for not blasting music in the background!)
Blue Collar Garage, my brother in law and myself are knocking out some repairs and your video made this job a breeze. We also did the front brake pads (which were super simple) and will be taking on the rear bearings soon. Thank you again for a quality how to video!
I started to install this belt a year ago, and worked on it off and on for 2 months which it seems is when you put this AMAZING VIDEO out so I missed it! Thank you so much for not only a great and easy to see video but your excellent explanation! Thank you thank you!!!
I also found out the 3/8 flex-head ratchet from Harbor Freight tools will work if you do it down below that will work on the tensioner, I did that without having to use a pry bar, even if the serpentine is hard to put in. It works surprisingly.
Thanks! I've never encountered a stretch belt! My friend has a 2010 Lincoln MKX with a leaky power steering pump. Looks like it's not so easy to get to!!!!
The pry bar at the end was critical, mine seemed even tighter and needed to pry against something to get it to move. The tool I borrowed from o'reilly's just needed to be a slightly different angle, as it ran out of room before I could move the tensioner enough. Thanks for this video!
I use size 30 socket to move my tensioner since i dont have the special tool. I did thesame zip tie method which ford belt included in there kit. I just finished these 2 belt tonight 😅 this is thesame setup with ford taurus 2008-2016
Thank you, without that zip tie trick i wouldnt have been able to move forward because i couldnt seem to use the specialty tools on the stretch belt. Not enough clearance on the P/S pulley and because of the adjacent belts on the crankshaft pulley couldnt do it on that side. If anyone is having trouble with the zip tie use 2 of them, just make sure to try and guide the belt on the crankshaft pulley as straight as possible, itll want to twist a bit. If its on there pretty good itll straighten itself out with a couple of revolutions on the crankshaft pulley
@daimonmarcum4849 same spots 1 just wasn't strong enough to withstand the force. Just tie them right next to eachother and don't be afraid to crank it around, it's gonna feel like it doesn't want to go but it will
My belt went over the pulley somehow and was stuck on the inside. No way I could get it out of there, Only thing I could do at that point was cut it off and go buy another.
Yo la puse esa banda..poniendola ye el tensor.y se meve el tensor con una adjustable grande....en el cuadro k de arriba.y solo halo la banda al alternator
Im trying to do this right now. And im having a hard time. I cant get the zip tie to hold the belt on the pulley. Keeps stripping the zip tie. Did you get the power steering belt started on the bottom of the pulley? And try to roll the belt up on the top of the pulley?
Yes I did end up getting the belts on. I had to go buy a heavy duty zip tie that had like rubber on it. That made a big difference holding the belt from slipping on the pulley.
And remember, the power steering stretch belt has to go on BEFORE the other belt. Yes, I was that dumb and put the main serpentine belt on first. Don't be dumb like me.
You can use a 1 1/4 wrench for the belt tensioner. The power steering belt is insanely difficult to do by yourself. I have this POS engine on my Mazda. Nothing but problems

I really liked the full length video with all of the explanations, not just ‘okay do this’ and cut to it being done. Thank you!

That was one of the best instructional videos on youtube. Thanks for posting.
Just additional, Make sure disconnect battery and put car on neutral- for safety purposes. Great and well explained video. Thank you!

Exactly what I was looking for and to the point, thank you.
Great video. Should be noted that this is the same engine in the Mazda CX-9. Thank you.
I just did this repair on a fusion sport, it took around 5 hours altogether, not for the faint of heart but persistence will win

I've been looking for a good video on how to do this procedure. Your video is great, thanks
Thank you. I got it to work after your help.

Thank you buddy I will try that technique with the serpent tomorrow morning

Excellent. Thoroughly done. Well detailed. Thanks
You sir are a god send.
The best video, yet!
P.S.: I would be a little happier if you suddenly released a video about replacing the water pump...)
I will be doing one on about or month or so will keep you updated
Great info on this video. Helped me a lot. Thanks.

Thanks for the extra tip.
Do you have the zip ties on the same spots or on two different holes?

Right on time for me to do mine lol nice video
Super helpful!! Thanks for the video!!!
Nice job,are ready love it.
Thank u for a great video, I’ll get mine start soon
Good job bro I like replacing the water pump but don’t like to play with that stupid tensioner
Great video bro ,it help me alot thanks👍
Why didnt you use the green stretch belt tool to install the belt?
I wasn’t able to because it would hit on the subframe as you started to rotate the crankshaft around.
Very well done. Thanks.
1 thing to note, recommended to never reuse the stretch belt, if it needs to be removed it should always be replaced.

Did you end up getting it on? Yes I got it started at the bottom and just kinda of kept helping it as I turned the crank bolt slowly.

😂 thanks for admitting it.
Do you have any pricing for the parts? Just curious
You should be able to click on the links in the description and it will take you to Amazon and the prices should be on there.
😊😊
Please sir.i want to no steering Beth number of 2011 Ford edge

Doesn't work for me
