because Qlab does way more than just fade.. when I use fade, im controlling multiple layers of video audio opacity, channels and then telling it what to do when it is done? stop hold, keep playing etc.. its way more advanced then jsut fading it out.. I agree for a basic user it can seem overwhelming, but you may want something simpler to use like audioape's new media app, which has simple controls and Just uses basic audio. I guess the way I look at it is, if you are trying to do something really simple in lets say video editing fro example yes CAP CUT is super easy and basic to use, where FCP or Adobe is more complicated but gives you way more individual control. same concept here. good luck
