Do what works for you 😊. I just came back from a 3 week trip to Italy & we traveled to several destinations within Italy by flying. We had some cooler weather & warmer destinations that we visited so packing was a challenge. We took a carryon suitcase & a larger backpack. What worked for me was compression packing cubes of smaller varying sizes so I was able to fit it in the smaller areas of my luggage. I also packed my clothes by rolling or sometimes just folded flat. Any little pocket of room I could see in my luggage I would stuff socks or underwear. My wardrobe was mainly pants that were light weight fabric & colors blue, green, black & off white. I took a pair of thin base layer leggings to wear underneath my pants in case it was cold. I also took 8 tops some short sleeve & 3 long sleeve. For outerwear I took a rain jacket, a 6 pocket travel vest & one gray merino wool sweater & a knit scarf. The merino wool sweater was very useful because it really helped keep me warm. For shoes I took a pair of waterproof sneakers & a pair of sandals. We also had a washer at our accommodations but we had to air dry our clothes, so we used the towel warmer in bathroom to expedite the drying. Hope you have a wonderful trip 😊.
