- Digging through the Strombo archives, we came across this segment from The Hour's 2008 Coldplay special, for which George travelled to the band's London studio. In this clip, Chris Martin talks about the band's creative process, the critical response to their music and working with Brian Eno.
Oh, and he plays a little Elton John for George too.

As someone who was once a 16 year old kid who loved coldplay and got shit for it... you have indeed made us proud Chris XD
I've never understood this, Coldplay are mega man. People tend to not realise how many songs they know or like that happen to be by Coldplay.

@@VinyZikss it's weird mate, I've heard alot of people say it's due to there work all sounding the same over the years, and also heard people say how can he be miserable with the Mrs he's knobbin 🤣.
@@KyTaundry People don't like popularity because it's more "cool" to be contrary when it comes to music. People turned on bands like Muse, The Killers, Arcade Fire as they changed their sound for similar reasons.

I had that Kurzweil piano too. Very good one, even tough it is old now and I don't play it anymore I still love it. Reminds me of the good old days.
the key words were "more colorful" because they certainly have been going that route with the last three albums. It would be cool of them to get a bit more organic in their production of the next album but then again I'm not the one in the freakin' recording studio.

I'm not a huge fan of Coldplay.. but the few songs I like are like... top 10 in my book... I think in the 2000s we were extremely harsh on them as cynical cool millennials.... Doesn't have to be your favorite. But Clocks, and Viva la Vida for example are undeniable.... so kudos and long live...

The person / people shooting the video think that they are shooting a Hollywood action movie directed by Martin S. Thus the constant, annoying motion of the camera, which only detracts from the interview. If you hold a camera and think you should be the center of attention, you have failed in your job.
Revisited this album recently and it's actually aged quite well. I hated it when it came out...

For those whom think Brits stink odor wise, the Danes have'em beat a woft of their own, 😆. Don't get me all wrong, I love Danes, I've dated my share of Dane gals, but 3/4 of them had a light odd odor of shag carpet on them but the other had no odor. Weird, huh?
