I just need some clarity and guidance as to how the transition happens from 491 temporary residence to permanent residency (citizenship/acquiring passport). 1. I know that its a temporary residence visa for 5 years 2. After living in Aus for 3/4 years I can apply for permanent residency - visa 191? 3. So living in Aus for 4 years > applying for visa 191 > how many years until I get permanent residency? 4. What are the restrictions during the transitionary period. How often do people get passports? And what is the timeline that I should be looking at? 5. Are there any chances that some people cannot avail 191 visa, and end up having to leave Aus too?
