- Hi, this video shows you how to connect a Bluetooth Speaker to the Amazon Echo Dot and shows the range you can expect it to work. It also shows the Amazon remote control so you can speak to Alexa in another room without shouting back towards the Echo Dot.
Many thanks Vince - Навчання та стиль
Great video, thank you. But is it possible to have music play on the bluetooth device AND Echo at the same time?
I have looked at many sites, which claim to explain how to pair a speaker with an Echo Dot. This is the only site that actually explains, simply and clearly how to achieve pairing. Thank you.
Brilliant! I was really struggling with this, until I found your easy-to-follow video. I could not find the information anywhere else! 🙂
Ayooooo
Thank you for an excellent, to-the-point video. Tired of all the fluff talk that is unnecessary and irrelevant on other how-to videos. Your video was most helpful and I am now connected! ❤
You helped me shave time having to read thru pages of stuff on how to connect alexa to a speaker via bluetooth in seconds, thank you!!
Yeay time was shaved too
Oh Yess!!!
BRILLIANT!!! Had I found your excellent video 60 minutes ago, I'd have another productive hour in my life. Thanks for laying out so clearly what neither the Amazon nor Speaker sites were able to explain.
Thanks Vince! Very clear directions - I just paired my new Echo Plus which I got in the post yesterday. Thanks again!
Thanks. I have been struggling to pair my echo dot , with my bluetooth speaker for many days. I was able to connect my bluetooth speaker with my echodot, within a minute of watching your video.
Thanks Vince. This was very helpful. And I appreciate the "text" details / information that you
added. .
Thank you very much for your time to provide us this information. It's saved me lots to trial and error and worked perfectly. Well done!
Question, can I listen to music on both items at the same time? on the echo and the paired Bluetooth speaker? that way I can create a "stereo" environment?
I was JUST about to ask that question as well.
@@TANKTREAD I just found out, due to latency on Bluetooth devices it will never work, never be in sync. Ratz!~
I have been asking myself that ever since I got the echo. Poor design in my opinion!
Even kf you could, stereo devices have carefully maticulated setting from all rangeas as bass, treble quality, volume etc. Never mix n match a "stereo system". Apologies for poor spelling, had " a glass" of wine
@@szdwright is the echo show is nice
Quick and simple... Thanks! This still works in 2019
Thanks for this.. I have been struggling for past two days but your video was simple and your step by step instructions made it a breeze to connect my Bluetooth speaker.
It worked like magic, super easy and great clear to the point instructions. Thank you so much.
This was awesome! Worked PERFECTLY! THANK YOU!
I like how during your tutorial... The device itself tells you how to do it easier lol
Thank you!
Open question: mono vs. stereo I have one Echo and one Bluetooth speaker. I don't want to buy additional speaker(s). I've already paired the speaker with my Echo. Then, both channels of audio come from the Bluetooth speaker. Is there any way to get one audio channel from my Echo and the other audio channel from my paired speaker?
I already have an Echo Spot transmitting to a Bluetooth receiver, with a stereo 3.5 mm output, feeding L + R inputs of a stereo receiver. So, the Echo will transmit both channels via Bluetooth. I want it to transmit only one channel, and play the other channel via its internal speaker.
Excellent . Thank you .
THANK A LOT!!!!! I was struggling with it!
OMG, Thank you!!!! Now I have to figure out how to pair with my TV's!!
Dude thanks for the video. You're the only one that got my speaker connected. You just earned a subscriber, comment, and like. Thanks again you got straight to the point and it was easy to understand.
Thank you! I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t get my speaker and my Echo Dot to pair. I googled “how to” and none of the instructions I found said anything about going to “settings”. I had it connected the first 30 seconds of your video.
Very informative instructional video, thank you.
Thanks for posting. You just saved me the money I would have spent on an upgrade when the sound on my early model dot was my only complaint. Other new comers to this video should be aware that the steps to pair a speaker and get Alexa to 'talk' through it are now different than shown in this video due to ongoing updates to the Alexa app. but it wasn't that hard to figure it out.
thank you! i was going nuts trying to get mine connected. working now!
Thank you very much. Your instructions were very clear!
can you get multible bt devices connected to alexa and play them at the same time
So helpful man thanks a lot, I was about to throw my dot out the window
Thank you so much! Could link my iPhone to speaker but not Alexa.
Couldn’t find how to add my new speaker at all, nothing on Amazon where I bought it from. This is brilliant :-)
Thank you for showing how to connect Bluetooth speakers to Amazon Echo
Thanks this helped me 👍🏻
Why does the Bluetoothed speaker replace the sound from the actual Echo Dot itself? Is there a way to get sound from both units at the same time? Great tutorial.
From what I understand you can actually pair multiple Bluetooth devices to one dot, so what it might be doing is dedicating all signal strength to Bluetooth casting? Maybe the Echo devices are just "dumb" who knows, but i agree, it should also play through the echo if the echo is the main source
the sound quality is not good for music reasons on the echo dot which is why people opt to connect it to a bluetooth speaker,
Hello, I have the problem with the app of the European version 2019 with which the Echo Dot 3 is compatible, I have also recently acquired a Logitech EU Boom 2 that sounds great connected to a PC or my Xiaomi Mi 8, but that I can not link correctly to my Echo Dot. I get it as paired but I do not see that UE Boom 2 is really working with Dot 3.The EU Boom app is the last one that puts Ultimate Ears (serves all Boom) and not the EU Boom that existed last year. Any idea what can happen with it?
Thanks. Work very well with my cheap and cheerful speaker :)
Hi thank you nice ,clear instructions.
Erm, im getting the boom 1 speakers which are compatible with echo dot. But i want to use my music from my phone or sound cloud...or youtube...will the voice control work from echo (getting music thru my phone) and palying on the speaker? Thanks
Ra8az I want to know this as well. Hope someone will answer this.
Thanks I liked the way you explained and I was able to connect successfully
Thank you! This allowed us to pair our formerly un-pairable and recalcitrant Sony soundbar.
Can I connect a sony home theatre system with echo dot via bluetooth?

Any chance you could do an updated video? Thank you because the app has changed and can I follow the same instructions currently thanks again
Thx you for sharing 🤜🏾

My friend purchased a Dindinmodern speaker which has lights and loud sound. It looks equally good. I think I will purchase a 32

I'm connecting to a Bluetooth speaker that has a microphone. Will Alexa use the dot or my Bluetooth devices mic
Great tutorial, it worked like a charm!
A great video. You made everything so simple. Never mind the thumbs down those are most likely kids.
thanks a lot bro!
My Mate Vince THANKS this worked perfect for my Samsung Bluetooth sound bar
Thanks
wish i had found this 2 days ago before i paired my speaker. I did figure it out eventually.
Does each echo Dot have to be set up separately? How many echo Dot's can be connected to one blue tooth speaker?
Thank you! That was really annoying me that it wouldn’t find the device by adding a new one! I didn’t realise I had to go into the individual echo device and then pair the Bluetooth device
cheers buddy
Thank you good sir
Bro your a life saver! Thanks!!
Thank you
Can we connect other speakers through echo 2nd generation !??? Please answer

So, Echos sold in the U.K. have a British accent?
tubularguynine 😂
Can I do this with Apple Music ?
Hi having paired the speaker with the echo dot I need my iPhone (blue tooth switched on) and near by for the pairing still to work
Meant to type WILL I NEED MY IPHONE
can this work with Alexa tower
Very funky fresh my dude
You’re awesome
Can we connect 4 speakers at a time?
can you do 2 speakers same room same speakers
Wonderful darling! 💋
So when you connect the Dot to the speaker with bluetooth, you use your phone to connect to the Dot and not the speaker to play music, correct?
OMG, that Alexa has an English accent.
Whenever I turn my speaker off, then I turn it on the next day I have to go back to the Alexa app and press the ihome option. I don't have to repair it, but it doesn't work if I don't open the app, it is really annoying.
How do i connect to Laptop?
doesn't work with my echo 3rd gen and my kilburn ...
I am connected but it isn't playing any sound
Amazin
its not compliced is it to connect...a little bit....totally simple really
I don’t really get the point on hooking up a speaker even though the Alexa speaker has one in it

They should make alexa smarter
And sadly I lost my Bluetooth smartwatch :(
i would have thought that in europe you would use the female american voice by default..

You don't just turn on your speaker to pair it you have to hold the power button down until you hear it beep as in your video...
Thank you!
Thanks!
