This is the first ever completion of this hack, completed half a year after its release. The OG programmers probably forgot about most of the code base. Especially when you consider that old console games are basically deprecated from a tech perspective.

I definitely do not know anything about Mario games too much or how glitch or item abuses work, but they are always so interesting to look at, and I think this one might be one of my favourites. It was simple for me to understand because of the annotations, so thank you for those!

Congratulations for the final product, it was very enjoyable to watch. This is a beautiful pit hack, member of the hardest ones and the TAS is very good. I am in the Ice Room and this will help me a lot.
The last rooms are more interesting (maybe because I didn't play them yet) and I don't think any other way different than beating Big Boo is actually valid. Good work :p

At 0:49 - The "Key" Block.
Can't you cheat the entire thing by getting "Yoshi Wings" from Item Duplication glitch and go into the "bonus round"?!
The rom could change the bonus round itself to make it impossible to beat it that way. I'm just wondering qhy tbe key was needed to get into the door despite the fact that they went into multiple floating doors without them later on

Thank you =) shadowdragon did this room but I think this is what happened: The lava automatically pulls you downwards, and having lava arranged like that pulls you all the way through, then you die at the bottomless pit at the end. But, mario moved to the right a bit so he was positioned under the ledge, then did the hopping on and off so you stick to the ceiling glitch until the screen pushed him along to a bit where you can jump through the floor to the springboard.

I love the color schemes in these levels! Most hacks like this have horrible colors and disjointed backgrounds that make it hard to watch.

Wow nice, Panga's run looked nearly frame perfect to me. The rest of the hack shouldn't be too hard to beat, I'm like a rookie (lazy) taser, so quite a bit of it is unoptimised, like gaining running speed earliest, flying rooms, etc. The only feel I feel is pretty well optimised is the orange room, before the flying purple room. We redid that room like 6 times and it's pretty good, except for maybe the clip at the end.
Thanks for the annotations, I now understand these tricks a bit better, but that doesnt mean I fully understand these glitches, I still am fucking clueless on all of these

14 minutes later I still have no idea what just happened
In game time wasn’t consistent between loading sequences.
I had finished this room when the game's clock showed 695. There're 4 different features. This and the ice room are those parts where I don't fear being humiliated by Panga or the like.
Imagine you were trapped in a room with only this game to play. You can't leave until you beat it. Do you excape or die in that room?
You turned both Yoshi AND the goal post into coins...I've heard of most of these glitches, but not those two lol

Thank you =) It took about a month on and off, of course there's always a bit of delay when we're sending the smv to the other person, different timezones etc. Still, it was bloody difficult.
Actually, the entire room was redone about five times due to no more yoshis spawning after the second one, so I figured out how to bring the p-switch over to that part (There's invisible coin blocks at the bottom of the level) to turn those into coins and then hop up through the bottom. And then since the two mini yoshis wouldn't spawn, I took the mushroom for myself finding I didn't need yoshi in the next room.
Is that Rodrigo's method of spawning a goaltape in the red room?

Equabolt no hacks were used
He's not using hacks, he's using real precise movements humanly impossible via tools, and knowing the hit box detection via another tool, and with a variety of glitches, the most of them probably being impossible too.
The jumps with a key are probably possible in real time. You just need to throw the key precisely at the wall, it will come back at you and then you can jump while grabbing it, doing it all again until you jump the wall.

I don't know, I haven't heard from the creator of the hack in a long time, disappeared somewhere.
I don't know yet how many frames I am ahead of you both, because I am not using my computer. However, the biggest difference is in the first red room, because there's a much faster way to put Yoshi above the damn door. I will try to finish my TAS faster, because I have more than 60,000 rerecords before the middle of the hack, but the last rooms don't need this amount of tries.
I think I saw Mario between all these glitches...

If the koopa was beneath the ? block then your glitch would have worked, in fact when I was trying this glitch, sometimes I would throw it too early and it glitch through the ceiling and out of the level. It doesn't really matter what I do in this level, since it can't be made any faster.

All you do is eat a power up at the same time you die.
@ 8:41 Idk if you know it already and idk if it would be useful here anyway but it's possible to use this glitch to kick a shell upwards through solid ground.

Wall jumping or wall clipping
Wall Jump: Clipping a pixel into a block and jumping when it ejects you,
Wall Clipping: Frame perfect clipping tatics so far into a wall it will not eject but push you to the right
