  • I take you through my ACL + Meniscus journey, through the 6 month mark. I give you a glimpse into my rehab, training, and the mental battles. The journey is far from over. The next couple of months will be a difficult transition, as I transition from an athlete in rehab, to starting to see myself as a triathlete once again.

A Davidson Wildcat and an ACL "survivor" (long time ago-rehab is much more aggressive now) wishes you all the luck in the world. We share a great massage therapist, btw.

Aw yes!! What graft did you have? How did you tear your ACL? And thank you!

@@fillnowtwins2719 After several years of playing coed soccer post-college *not a college athlete like you two* I tore my ACL in my very first men's league game. Had surgery in Greensboro. Patellar tendon graft. 3 months of being on crutches post reconstruction. As I said, rehab was different then (I'm old). Another difference between you and me--you're an athlete. If you have it in you to be a competitive triathlete, you have the inner and outer strength to fully recover from this. I know you will.
I used to see y'all-never knew which one, of course- at the Dowd Y. Hopefully again......Joe (or "Pearl")
