This is to ALL the sled manufacturers. Now that you're charging WAY over $20k usd for the top performance models and $15k+ for mid level, you need to get WAY WAY better quality. Both Doo and Po have MAJOR issues emerging and the 24 models have barely seen snow yet. The quality has not kept pace with the price and this is BS and needs to get sorted at the factory, not just fobbed off as an "oh well it's under warranty" dealership issue.

I follow several snowmobile channels similar to yours and it's interesting to see what "works" as content and what doesn't. Obviously, you're doing a phenomenal job. Caleb as well on his channel, I like him explaining build stuff (I guess I should've commented on his track swap vid- good stuff!). Hopefully, you do another overnight vid like last year- that was actually the algorithm on UA-cam that brought me to your channel. Keep up the great work!
I have the exact same polaris and had the exact same issues. Day one i had 94 chevron and day 2 and 3 I was running died premium from the bulk station and had det issues the whole time with died in my tank. Switched back to chev 94 and i’ve been riding as low as 1100 meters and I haven’t had any det issues. I’m also running Ibexx clutching to manage the over rev and it’s working great
Absolutely stoked when the new vids drop!! Just patiently waiting for that white fluffy stuff to finally make it my way!! Excellent videos on the year so far!!

Hey Matt, not sure if you already knew this but my dealer said running the low octane fuel setting and using 91 non ethanol fuel helps a lot with detonation issues on the turbo and 9R. So far it’s worked quite well for my 9R Khaos.
For the over rev and cut out, I aligned and properly shimmed my secondary and that took care of that without adding weights. TRS can get you lined out on that. For det, have not had any issues in my 24 boost at all. All my riding starts at about 4k and goes up from there, but only running 91 non ethanol 🤔
CK is a beast 🤘🏻and Matt you have come a long way from the 1st year up there your passion and determination is on another level. love your vids …. Keep up the great work 💥
Run Boostane Shot, one in each tank. The 94 octane adds for ethanol to obtain the higher octane. Not what you want. The rpm spike, I would throw 14-78 weights in, unless you’re going to get a complete clutch set up.
I had some minor det issues with my 23' boost last year. Solved by mixing in .5 gal of 110 race fuel with every fill up. Rest of the fuel is 92 non-eth. Gets my octane up to about 93-94 and haven't had det since :)
Not only is Caleb an amazing rider, he seems like such a down to earth good dude. Been watching him for years, glad he is getting some recognition for the work he has put in. Awesome video as usual Matt, Happy new year to you! I can't wait to see what 2024 has in store for you guys.
Thought for sure Celeb was gonna do a couple bench presses with his sled after it rolled on him after that sick airel turn around magic he does. Whata fkn machine that guy is.
If you are running the sled in premium/non-ethanol mode, that could be your DET problem. Most gas in BC has ethanol. I even tested Chevron 94 last week and it has ethanol. Only gas that I have found without ethanol is marked 91 at my local Esso card lock.
The new cat I've been hearing lots of really good things about it and that's with the 600 so cat is saying the 858 is a few pounds lighter but will see ? The 600 makes a sweet sound that is very unique and 👍
Yea pretty crazy the demand for those Cats, I heard AC actually cancelled a bunch of orders because they couldn't meet demand.. That really has to chap their butt, making a sled alot of people want, just to have to turn down a bunch.
@@MuskokaFreerider If I had to guess, the 858 is going to be in the same boat or worse. Hopefully AC learns from this, and has the capacity to meet the demand.
@@thor82ak I would rather they not meet demand than compromise quality and crank out a bunch of junk......not that I'm thinking of any particular manufacturer ha ha. Meeting demand AND quality of course would be ideal.
yupp I sold my sleds because it's so bad. we haven't had rideable snow here in pa for 3 years and this winter isn't looking promising either. it's been 40s-50s and rain
You're probably getting DET because you're changing 3k ft in elevation. Polaris weights are in increments of 2k ft if you're running the stock clutch. You probably have your clutch weights set to the elevation you do most of your riding at, not the elevation you start at. When you go wide open at lower elevations with the higher elevation weights the motor over revs and throws those DET codes. I'm no sled mechanic so maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong but that's been my experience with DET on a Polaris. Wide open at 8500 - 9000ft elevation when my sled weights are for 10-12k elevation.

Staying deep enough in the snow that the exhaust can't exit. No exhaust gas out, air can't go in and engine bogs. I also call it powder bog too if the air intake screens get covered over so bad that even if the exhaust has a good path out, the air isn't coming in as it should. Restriction from snow on either end of the cycle "bogs" the engine.
