Don’t knock it till you try it. I had sport bikes dual sport supermoto. I still have my supermoto and my Harley. Love my street glide one of the best bikes I’ve ever ridden so comfortable layed back relaxed and it got balls. She moves
I tried it, my friends all have baggers and they seem like tanks to me but I'm still out here on an immature man child level. lol I just find small quick bikes more exciting but hey that is just my preference. No hate, cruisers are just not at the top of my list but I still have love for them.

Had an Mt-07 2021, so this exact body style, went from that to a z900rs and now I have a Triumph Speedmaster, a cruiser. Yes, the MT-07 is soooo much fun, better then the z900rs, but the z900rs was classic, pure old school 4cyl speed, the MT07 is very playful, my speedmaster has similar engine feel of the large 270 degree parallel twin, but I enjoy the clasic look and feel and the riding position also. It’s all in the perspective of what you are looking for.

Been eyeballing an mt07 but decided to start on a 390 duke. It's been really fun but one day, I'll get an mt07 to replace it as my second bike.

I have a 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 GT its heavy on the scale but suprising light to ride and because of the weight im not getting blown away like your little MT-07 and talking about torque 163 ft-lbs is no joke so if you think cruiser suck go and try a Rocket 3 and talk about it after.Ride safe man

Alright man, I am definitely getting an MT-07 now haha. As much as I love my Honda Shadow Aero, every point in this video was spot on. A question for you: are 2018 MT-07s worth getting? I found a great deal from a private seller selling their stock MT-07 for $6,500. I don't mind the old looks.
That's about as good of a deal youre going to find honestly. As long as its not clapped out you should get it. It's the same 689cc cross plane crank which is what makes these bike so much fun and so desirable.

Cool! I never rode the older MT=07 model but it has the same engine so I'm sure it is as fun. For five hundred or a thousand more you might be able to pick up a deal on a used 2021 but they are so hard to find it ain't funny.

I own 2018 model i think it's the best looking the 2 generation of both the mt 07 and mt 09 have the best looks imo, the mt 07 also had suspension uprade in 2018 just buy it, u will love it 😀

I’m 5’9” 315. I want my bike to have a little heft. I’d say my fj09 was better for me. Cruisers are stupid comfy too and they have light ones.
I am completely in love with my MT-07. Some times I'm concerned my friends are right about my CBR250R that I won't ride it anymore.

Nice! Same here. I truly love my mt-07. It's not the fastest, it may not be the prettiest to some people and not fancy enough for some but I just love this lil bike, the feel and grunt feels so good, I can't really express into words. Many of the pro reviewers say the same thing, on paper it may not seem like much but when you ride the bike it is so fun and sounds awesome with a pipe.

Different strokes for different folks. Take an MT-07 and cruise it from Ohio to Cali. Then take a Harley Lowrider S or St and ride at back. 😂 Anyway you’d be lying your ass off if you picked the MT07. Cruising around town for a couple hrs MT07 is fine, but don’t get carried away

I didn't realize how slow my harley was until i bought my 22 street triple. The funnest cruiser i owned was a 2014 Victory Vegas 8bal had like 96hp 110 torque and had alot of low end grunt. Weighed over 600lbs but it was so balanced the it felt light

I like custom street fighters personally. Although have you ever ridden a Ducati hypermotard? It’s like a SM for the streets I freaking love that bike
I have yet to ride a Hypermotard but to me it is just a street bike, they weigh over 400 lbs. I believe. It is not a supermoto but still a cool looking bike and I'm sure the engine is amazing because Ducati makes soulful fun engines.
@@CycleCruza yea no it’s definitely not a supermoto but I think it was inspired by one. I mean the MT07 is 400 pounds so having a bike with same with and more motor with some sumo inspired looks…hard to go wrong imo. I was smitten when I test rode it.

My brother almost died on the fz09, i rode it, didn't like the seating position, too high up, felt top heavy
Dang! Yeah it does feel top heavy and I hate the seating position too. It is just a weird bike to me, mt-07 feels much better, at least to me.

Btw, akrapovič sounds too crackley on this bike. The best exhaust for this bike is the carbon S1R from Two Bros. Has the deepest note and no metallic crackles. It's DEEP, which is what this bike needs.
Two Bros has some of the worst dyno numbers I've seen on these bikes. I'll take my Akra carbon all day, crackles and all.
@@teddynugz It really depends on many factors. But most importantly, the dyno, the air filter, the fuel, and the tire as well. Two Brothers showed their dyno numbers and their FZ-07 made 77 WHP over stock. All others I've seen only produce around 73ish WHP.

I dont think mt07 sounds any good .maybe you should try low rider s or st model with 117 motor lots torque and power. I owe MV Augusta.and the Harley low rider st . I tried mt07 not my cup of tea . More better mv and Harley

I own 2015 FZ-09 and 2020 Indian Scout Bobber. I enjoy both bikes very much.
It was only 9$ more a month for insurance to add the Indian. So for that reason I'm keeping FZ.
All that being said.. the FZ hits 80 as soon as I hit second gear. Here in NC with speed limits only 55 is a problem.
So I think I gonna trade FZ-09 for an MT-07.
Can't go wrong, good choice homie!!
I sold mine for a SV650 . It's a lot more playful and still fast. I think you will be happy with the 07

MT-07 would be a great city bike. The reason to get a Harley, Gold Wing, etc. is for long distance highway riding. MT-07 has no wind protection, cruise control, heated grips, etc. So two totally different applications. Let's go for a Ride!

Called my dealership on Friday, picked up my brand new 2022 Yamaha blue MT-07 on Saturday. First bike, I’m falling more and more in love as I get used to it. Rode about 250 miles this weekend. Definitely getting the exhaust but first I’ll get rid of the ugly fender
There's some guy in my neighborhood that rides a 600 pound Harley and wheelies it at 12 o clock for miles at a time while wearing usually jeans and a Hawaiian shirt lol. I see him on my way back from work all the time because we take the same backroad to get home
Dang! Some of them do have lots of torque. It amazes me when I see dudes do wheelies on Harleys. Looks badass.
You compare apples to oranges! You talk about taking a cruiser and rip and roaring. That's not what a cruiser is for they are meant for comfort and distance.
I'm just saying you can cruise on a naked bike and do more with it. Actually, many riders are getting ADV bikes are cruisers now, better leg room and higher rider view.
I wanna see them put 400 to 800 miles in a day on a naked bike you will be one sore unit

The most miles I’ve ever put on a motorcycle is a Harley Road King. I actually use it for touring which is the most fun I’ve had on a motorcycle. I have owned a YZ450f supermoto, R6, MT-09 and a Iron 883. Me and my wife have traveled together all over the United States on the road king, hands down some of the greatest memories that I have. Nothing like hitting the open road! Ride safe

you are correct about some of your points. I like the sound of my Dominator Exhaust better than the Akropovic. But neither of them sounds better than my 2003 HD Lowrider with Vance and Slash cuts or my 2014 HD Street Glide with a decatted front pipe with Rhineharts, I like all 3 for three different purposes. I rip in the twisties of the Hudson Valley I commute 43 miles each way and I do NY to NC at least once a year and have done a IBA saddle sore 1000. 1124 miles in 21 hors 53 minutes Not doing that on a MT07

I didn't need to ride all of them, I rode and owned the very best muscle cruiser on the current market, Ducati XDiavel 1260 S and I still like this MT-07 better. The XDiavel was powerful but you felt that weight making tight turns and I don't like feet forward pegs. I did ride a 2015 Harley Davidson breakout (As shown in the video) that felt slower than my former Chinese scooter. The sales guys said I needed to get a $7,000 stage 2 kit or some bs like that for better power. lol I've been on baggers and they feel like tanks to me, I don't understand the hype. I have love for all motorcycles but most cruisers are near the bottom of the list for me, just not my preference. No hate tho. We all have our own preferences.

This bike is great to launch. Spike the throttle and let the clutch out halfway into the friction zone. It is so exhilarating. Down shifting, waiting a sec, then easing on and accelerating is so fun to me. Btw, 3rd gear has the best ratio between length & absolute pulling power.
I am so happy that you chose to get this bike, man. Welcome to the CP2 fam. Oh... and don't forget to take the slop out of the throttle. It makes it so much more responsive and fun. That's done very easily by the barrel adjuster on the top throttle cable in front of the master cylinder.

When I got there I took 80# of luggage off the bike .. Mine has Ohlin front Cartridges..
I passed every other bike I encountered.. I would think there would be guys a lot faster than me. I even kept up with Guys on Ducati's with full Leather race suits and knee pucks.. This really Surprised me .

Nice! That is why I keep telling people the liter bikes are overkill, you hardly ever use the full power of them, only on the highway. In twisties, the MT-07 can take nearly all of the bikes because most riders don't have the skills to go past 100 mph in twisties anyways and the MT-07 does that. And if you go past 100 mph in the twisites you are a fool with a death wish. However, for many riders it is all about having the fastest bike for bragging and showing off, most are not worthy of such a powerful bike.

The 1 Liter bikes are called Donor cycles.. because so many young riders die on them and leave behind good young organs for those who need them .
Plus Insurnace is really high on 1 Liter bikes because they go so fast in an instant..

Cmon man, comparing an mt07 to a duc you was looking at are not even on the same playing field. HD noise compared to the 07, CC, bro, this Ohio weather might be effecting you ear holes. My son had the mt07, dropped cash on exhaust and tune and just traded it in. The bike is basic, brakes..meh, engine…meh, suspension…disappointing, display…way outdated, seat…numb ass within 45-60 minutes, factory tires..meh. I’d say it’s a good commuter, cheap toy, don’t have high expectations….it’s a budget bike you have to squeeze the wallet to make it better, by then you should have purchased something with a better chassis, brakes, seat, power ect….it’s a good little bike nothing to get emotional about
I have both and there are times one is better than the other. For longer rides I'm taking the cruiser. For being a hooligan it's the 07 for sure.
Cruisers don’t suck. It’s like a tool that does the job you need it to do. You wouldn’t use wire strippers to hammer nails. I’ve had baggers, naked, cruisers, and adventures bikes. I use to hate on HD, then my Dad passed and I bought the HD he owned. I love his HD more than any other bike. Sentimental value is key for me on the 2003 Dyna Wide Glide. Plus being 6’4” and a bad knee from shrapnel in Iraq. My riding has changed and I cannot ride with my knees bent anymore. I loved my Victory Highball, BMW 1200GS, BMW K1600B, BMW R1250GS, BMW R1250R. I just traded in my naked R1250R (more torque than your MT07) for the Wide Glide. I’m having a blast on the Wide Glide. I wish I could tell my Dad, I wanted to slow down my riding style, so I bought the slowest HD. It’s all good fun. Whatever floats your boat. 🤘
Oh man, the Ducati Diavel 1260S is a dream bike! I love that thing! It is effectively a naked muscle cruiser super combo. I need more experience riding though before getting one as they are expensive and I while I'm a responsible rider I feel a tad nervous with that power and price tag combined. Aiming to get a cheaper used MT09 and keeping it in baby mode.
The problem was you used a Harley for the comparison. So many other cruisers out there that blow HD stock for stock out the water. Kawasaki’s Vulcan 2000, Yamaha’s starline bikes with the 113. Suzuki’s m109, and technically Yamaha’s VMAX. Oh and last but not least triumphs infamous rocket 3.
You should get a naked if you wanna have fun stay local and cruise the neighborhood with 2 hours from home. If you really wanna explore a naked and it's 1 trick won't work. FACTS if you wanna travel states take weekend trips over night trips need a touring bike I've been from PA to FL 8 times once on a GSXR not fun! On a SGS easy. I also have KTM 890 for when I'm local don't listen to "ANYBODY" buy what works for you! Naked bikes and sport bikes are just faster. But I see at the end he needs a trailer to travel with his bike? If he had a touring bike he could just go and save all that money he spent on a truck and trailer to pull his naked bike?
If I was 5'7 and around 150lbs I would consider the MT07 .
I had one cruiser & it was the most uncomfortable motorcycle I ever owned or rode. Suzuki S40. Possibly it was just too small. My knees were higher than my pelvis which made me slouch which was very tiring. Also my legs got tired from trying to hold my knees out of the wind. In corners it felt very awkward, like if I were to low-side I'd land on my butt. I will rent a larger cruiser someday to see if it was a size problem. Imagine removing the back rest in your car & driving around with nothing to lean back on. That's what my cruiser felt like.
I'm not a Harley fan boy but there are two "HUGE" advantages to having the cruiser... the fairing on the front protecting you from the wind on long trips and the level of customization for Harley is probably more extensive than every other brand on the planet. Around town, the mt-07. Taking a trip out of state on a windy day, i'll rent a Harley or hop on an Indian Chieftan.

Hey, welcome to my world, I always told you that naked bikes is where it's at. Wait till you have to work on it, you will experience the pleasure of no farings. But Cruza, what is it with Americans and loud pipes, those things for the most part are monotonous. That place that are you riding through is that the countryside, it's beautiful.
I ride a Honda cb500x now and will trade it in once the rebel 1100 bagger comes out as my daily rider. Would luv the Yamaha XSR900 for a second bike tho
The problem is that the foot pegs are high up and they cause knee pain when touring. That’s why you see so many ADV bikes on the road. Their tall stature gives you more leg room. You can also throw around an adventure bike like a sport bike if you want to (without scraping pegs like a Harley).

Yeah ADV bikes make great cruisers as well. This MT-07's pegs are very comfortable to me, almost cruiser-like mid pegs. I'm 6 ft with a 34" inseam and I can ride this bike all day, legs are fine. I did not like the pegs on the Tuono, that felt no different than pegs on superbikes, uncomfortable after long rides like you mentioned.
T7 is a possibility in the adventure segment. Good bike In it’s own right, but it also has the engine that we like enough for Yamaha to put it in 4 different bikes.

Guys get a Triumph Street Triple. The most perfect and refined naked sport there is today. The MT07 is great and somewhat cheaper but nothing beats the Triumph Triple 765.

Life isn't all about practicality, sometimes it's ok to go out on a limb an try things that invoke emotion- excitement, desire, thrill of, etc. A life of only being practical sounds boring and life is too short for that. being practical is akin to being "realistic" which equals mediocre.

My FZ-07 has a 20" Modstad windscreen too .. No thanks for long distance riding with no windscreen. Especially when it's 38F out
I just layer up, wear a turtleneck and thermal underwear, battery power heated gloves and I'm good.

I'm a fan of the VRod, best bike Harley made. However, it is 600+ lbs. You feel the weight on a cruiser in tight turns and it sucks scraping pegs. However, the XDiavel was great in twisties and pretty light on its feet but you could feel the weight on tight turns.
@@CycleCruza ya so I have the night rod special, not sure if you've compared the 2, but it's much lower so I dont really feel the weight TOO much, but I've only scraped the pegs a few times, wasn't really an issue. Maybe I'm missing out, I'll have to check out an mt07. I also tried the kawa z900 and hated it, so i hope its not comparable. I used to have a zr7s and loved it. Hopefully its like that

Not my cup of tea but it may be yours. Test ride one. To me, I think naked bikes make better cruisers, even ADV bikes make better cruisers. But I know it is all about the looks and culture for many riders and that is ok too. Whatever makes a rider happy is all that matters.

If you include female riders less than 50% of all population can flat foot 30" + seat height. That's why 50% buy Harley, it's the only way to look cool with shorter legs.
I have 32 inch inseam and ride a bike with 37 inch seat height and if I've almost dropped my bike multiple times having to get a foot down on uneven road or where there are potholes lol shit can be embarrassing
