To be fair, I don't know if this video highlights both of their skills seeing as Park's main strengths weren't really in dribbling, even though he wasn't bad on the ball, but in his play off the ball, while Gattuso was an elite ball-winner; they were different players, with Gattuso being more of a tackler and playing in the middle rather than out wide, but in terms of speed, energy, and defensive work-rate and ability to mark and press and not being the most technical midfielders (although having said that Park was certainly the more technical of the two even though Gattuso did improve with time in this area), I would say that he and Gattuso had similarities. Both great in their roles.
Park would have made a nice RB or WBR. Playing as an AMR in an offensive capacity for someone with no magic (but tonnes of graft) was a mistake.

The myth seems to of come aroundseems because of that one match where he man marked pirlo. Giggs, carrick, hargreaves fletcher and hargreaves were the central midfielders. park would rotate with giggs on the left wing as giggs got older.

Gattuso & Maldini were brilliant to watch. That was a great Milan club. Istanbul in 2005 was simply proof that you can't overcome Fate. Milan would win against that Liverpool club 99 times out of 100, I feel. Milan's weak link was Dida in goal, and he was good. Just not great. I would like to have seen Milan play 2005's Man U club a few more times. Milan beat them 1-0 twice in the Champions League.

Milan were overconfident. Look at the defensive gaps. They completely lost their defensive structure to the point that Liverpool were spamming random crosses in the box and even Gerrard, a midfielder, was able to find the ball in the box to head.

He really was never underrated. He was always praised during his career. I remember loads of praise during South Koreas great run, during his PSV days and playing CL with them and then with United. He often stood out for his hard work and engine and always got praise for that.

The worst part about 2002 World Cup was the officiating regarding offsides. Spain had Morientes and Italy had Vieri who both tried to time runs for through balls and were called offside when they weren't. South Korea may or may not have beaten Spain only because of bad officiating but Italy got absolutely robbed against South Korea due to bullshit offside calls.
The 2002 world cup was a disgrace to football. The match fixing and officiating was horrendous. The offsides and the lack of any fouls or cards towards the hosts was crazy. Basically all of the first lot of world cups were rigged, but the fact that this one happened in the 21st century is baffling.
That was a solid italian defensive team.
