- Tribute to Loki in preparation of his well deserved tv show.
Thor was one of the first MCU films I saw in the theater when I was a kid. Since then, Loki's journey has intrigued and devastated me at the same time. Tom Hiddleston has killed it from day 1. I do hope this tribute tells his story well. I don't own anything, just the editing. Thanks for watching!

I've always found it interesting that Loki said "burdened". Not "blessed", not "honored"; Burdened. It's like he doesn't want to be this monster, he doesn't want to be alone. But because of his "true" lineage, he is burdened with the title of Villain. Incredible tribute!!!!!!

He is an ice giant, who were considered monsters and enemies in Asgard. Loki thinks that he is a villain, that this is his life, always do wrong and he does not deserve good. But inside he wants the same as everyone else: the love of his family, care, joy, support, a sense of need, recognition.

"I thought the world of you" that line from Thor hits so deep every time. Like a brother that always looked up to his brother regardless of how many times he screwed up, always hoped for him.

I realized this since when I first watched Thor 1 back in the day, his development through the others movies he featured was really nice too

You know, I really wasn't expecting this. I'm speechless. The first part of this video is fast and so damn emotional. The way you combined each clip with each quote... that was beautiful and so impressive. Then in second part, I noticed that you used Dumbledore's Farewell, one of the most sad songs of Harry Potter 6th film. I cried because I'm a massive fan of Harry Potter, and I didn't knew that I would end up so devastated to hear this OST in a Loki edit. All of this to say, that you were born with a glorious purpose, ikijay. I subscribed and I will not miss any video from now on. Truly grateful for finding your channel and your work. Music of Harry Potter
Loki had a mental breakdown in Thor 1 and then tried to commit suicide. But after that? He was found by a monster, treated probably less curtiously than Nebula and Gamora, had his memories and emotions messed up by the mind gem yet still was able to have moments of clarity to the point of being able to escape and sabotage himself till he was completely free.
From his first moment of clarity he knew three things: Thanos was coming to kill EVERYONE, nobody was going to BELIEVE him, and he was going to DIE.
Could he save people? Maybe. Would anyone believe him? Absolutely not. Could he get out of it alive? No.
He never had any doubts. He was going to die. And nobody would mourn him. At least, nobody would know him well enough to mourn the real him. Not even Thor, who thought he mourned a reformed and redeemed brother rather than a victim of torture, mind control, who made hard choices for the greater good.
Loki died to save Thor. He greeted death like an old friend, even though it taking the form of Thanos terrified him.
No wonder nobody could break him. No wonder it took him so long to trust again. He never had any hopes of heroism or escape. He was doomed by the narrative and he knew it.
But the greatest tragedy is he was the only one who knew. It would be terrifying to face so much, but even more so to do it alone.
Loki is pretty bitter..he needs therapy..seriously...
