Everybody's getting their Slavic Legends before me! Hoping it arrives soon. Have to overlook how much beautiful youth and ripped men there are, but the art does seem so beautiful. Wish they had a book with info on the legends. I truly hope some of your struggles resolve themselves!
I think they are sending them out as people had ordered them… things will get better but there’s a lot of things that happened I just need time processing events. The men do look ripped 😂… it’s a case of “dude where’s my shirt.” Shame about the book, agree. Thank you for watching 🌳🌻🍂
This is such a nice deck, and it's on my wishlist since I first had a glance at it. This deck is so gorgeous. I also have the tarot of the Golden wheel and I love it. It was my first deck other than the original RWS. I have some long ago slavic roots from both of my parents. And I feel heavily drawn to folklore per se. I hope you're doing well and that you have loads of fun with this wonderful deck.
This is a beautiful deck, especially with the black edging. My birthday was this week and my daughter’s is next week. All of my favorite people are Scorpios. ;-) I hope that this season brings you balance and some relief from your recent challenges. ❤
Thank you for your wishes and Happy Birthday too! It is the Season of the Witch! The energies will balance, all ebbs and flows. Thank you for watching 🌿🌸🕸🍁
Oh great, I need to work with it more but I do love it, I have some thoughts on how to get more out of it, I need to do a follow up! Thanks for watching
Stunning, just stunning! I am a bit confused about the cardstock though...I just watched another review (standard size with matte gold gilded edges) and the cardstock was slightly glossy and thinner....
Hi Mina, thank you for watching. Taroteca Studio sells there decks in different versions. For Slavic Legends, smooth laminated is for the gold edges, soft lamination for the matt black edges. It shows this on their website. I hope that helps. 🌸
Just to answer your question and as someone how owns both decks: no there is no overlap. In fact it cannot be one, because the decks are inspired by two very different cultures: the Slavic Legends by Slavic Mythology and the Runic tarot by Norse Mythology. Slavic and Norse are two very different cultures. Slavic, as the name implies, pertains to Slavic Culture and Norse to what is nowadays Scandinavian Culture (i.e. Norway, Sweden, Denmark) and Upper German. I really enjoy your channel. Greetings from the other side of the pond
Thank you! I realised my own error after uploading! For some reason I keep putting Runes together with Slavic culture which is where I go wrong. I also must remember to keep Finland out of the Nordic zone as the language falls under Uralic... which I put close to Slavic but it is not. Apologies. I still for some reason keep thinking of a runic Slavic deck... I have no idea why?! I am glad you're enjoying the channel 🕸🌻🌼
@@darkfaetarot I enjoy it enormously! Hahaha... I have the same problem with Finland, even if I'm 25% Finn and 50% Scandinavian 🤣🤣 and really it wasn't by no means a critique, you make a wonderful job of explaining things. Have a wonderful Samhain (by which ever name you celebrate)
Mine was $64 to Texas. I got the gold having been unhappy with the way that other black edge cards I have owned have chipped. The gold ones have shiny UV coating whereas the black are matte. I wish I had realized that before because I would have chosen the black.
Great, it got all the way to Texas! I have no idea if this one will chip, I just got matte black because I like the way it looks and this feeling of... pitch black?! I might try the gold edging in the future... thank you for watching. 🕸🌻🌷
I like the rich detail and quality of the artwork of this deck. But I struggle with the body imagery and expression of the depicted people. It’s the type of ripped rugged warrior and warm earthy females (with perfect bodies) look that is favoured by right wing nationalists here in Germany, who have co-opted and reimagined legends and pagan gods to rewrite a history that fits their agenda of national hero worship. On the other hand, I see no problem if you mix this with runic and Norse pagan decks. The reality is, there was never a neat line between cultures here in Europe. As you point out, we all carry the genes of people that moved from the Indian subcontinent into Europe and other huge movements of people. Europe has always been a melting pot of cultures, people and ideas and anyone who opens their eyes can see how cultures have influenced each other. You can study and appreciate the differences, but you can also celebrate the rich cultural exchange by mixing your decks. 💙
Thanks Julia for your thoughts on the deck and its cultural connections. It is a shame how extremists from any culture or country can hijack traditions, beliefs, symbols to drive an agenda. I think Europe's history is very much lost outside of the continent, especially from the perspective beyond Ancient Rome and Greece. I look forward to working with it. The body beautiful did come through but for some reason it didn't affect me as such, but I appreciate it can be upsetting too. Thank you for watching 🌻🌱💐

Tears in my eyes when I saw the 10 of wands 😮❤❤❤
Ah... it is a beautiful deck 🕸🌺
This is the first full flip through that I've seen. Thank you. Just stunning.

Happy birthday! I’m also a Scorpio November 2nd. I am always drawn to this time of year. I love it! Take care

Oh wow, Slavic roots, amazing. I wish it came with a guidebook but I am going to do some of my own research. Thank you for watching! 🌾🌻🕸

I'm really tempted by this one! But I don't know anything about slavic culture. Amazing cards!
