    1st Story
This woman (1) had an affair with your boyfriend, (2) looked you dead in the eye and comforted you through the breakup without admitting that she was the cause and the reason for your pain, (3) asked you to be the MOH of her wedding to her boyfriend that she cheated on, (4) and then to proceeds to play victim after you rightfully walked out of her wedding after discovering her atrocious and completely UNFORGIVABLE behavior.
Imagine the level of selfishness. How manipulative. How utterly despicable.
“It was a long time ago.” No, it wasn’t. Just because the boyfriend is a spineless coward with no self respect, doesn’t mean you have to degrade yourself as well. And he debated telling you!!! These two people were gonna sit quietly about their sins against you until his guilt couldn’t keep his mouth shut.
Throw them and anyone who defends them out the door. Block them all.

For that last story, he did try just turning Kelly down. After saying no, he got interrogated, where he tried to politely say no again. He didn’t make up the “I don’t do short term” thing until he felt backed into a corner.

And the bride needs to chill. Just because it’s her wedding doesn’t mean she gets to dictate who her guests date or dance with. If he’s not into you, move on!! Okay, the sister laughing at the sisters failed bachelorette/bachelor party posted an update. If she wasn't ASKED DIRECTLY when the sister was complaining about it, perhaps she wouldn't have said 'what did you expect to happen?'
If she'd walked up and said that unprovoked, it would be wrong. But when you're asked a direct question whilst someone is whining at you... I don't know what else you could have said, other than express that you're not at all surprised!
If she had said 'yeah, that's terrible, I can't believe that happened', dollars to donuts the sister would have carried on further with 'yeah, aren't they wrong, they're such jerks, don't you think I should [do this to get revenge] to pay them back?' which is somewhere you don't want to go!
So best to shut it down. 'I'm not surprised.'
Maybe the sister can then go and whine to someone else about what happened - someone who didn't know full well that it WOULD happen and might be able to fake genuine sympathy or whatever.

Nah, the groomsman is not in the wrong, the fact he HAD to give any reason as to why he wasn’t into that Kelly girl is fucked up. No one should ever have to justify why they are not receptive to other people’s advances. If you say no THAT IS IT. You should not be interrogated, you should not be questioned, and even if you give an “excuse” that bridesmaid is still in the wrong cause you are being forced to say something to her to get you out of a situation that you should not be pressured into in the first place. He said no, he wasn’t leading anyone on, he didn’t say anything that would have told Kelly there was even a chance they could try anything together, he straight up said NO is enough. It does not matter what he does if a consenting adult afterwards cause the world does not revolve around you

That brings up an interesting point. Girls/women are going off on this "No means no" kick (which I do agree with) but it seems that they are trying to say that that is just for them and that a man does not have the same privilege to say "no" to a woman and accept it. That seems to me that they want their cake and to eat it too.

Of course, on the basis of what we know of that story, I don't think you'll find that many women who will defend the bride and "Kelly" over the groomsman. It's only that so often and for so long, it's been drilled in our minds that men are hunters and women are preys, usually men are pursuing and women are the ones who must say no when they're not interested , rather than the other way around. So obviously they're the ones who have to say no multiple times, and fend off questions about why, and have to look hysterical when they have to yell to be left alone. Statistically.

And him then hitting it off with a white woman just tells me he's definitly not racist and seems to care more about the personality. Having said that, the children are all cool with me being in the relationship, and have invited me to events, and treat me as part of the family. All the kids are adults, and they are lovely.

I would have walked out too. You told your friend ON YOUR WEDDING DAY that you stole her man. How exactly were you expecting her to take this. Did you REALLY expect her to just smile and forgive you like the bride's husband-to-be did, and continue her role as your Maid of Honor and do everything after you betrayed her like that? At least that is ALL her friend did, after finding out the bride stole her boyfriend. The Maid of Honor DID NOT throw the bride, head first, into the cake, or drench the wedding dress in red wine, and rip it to shreds, use her Maid oh Honor toast to humiliate her friend in revenge or cause a huge scene in front of everybody and have a girl fight with the bride. Story n°1 : the truth is, bride couldn't handled her guilt for cheating and confessed to the groom; the groom was angry but didn't want to cause a fuss last minute so he unpacked to the other victim of the affair; the moh decided to leave, I assume because she was really upset and didn't trust herself to keep a good face for the entirety of the day, which is TOTALLY normal. Now the groom is angry at the bride for cheating but he said he forgave her, and the bride is angry at the groom for telling the moh and causing the organization of the wedding day to turn into a mess, but she can't show it, since he forgave her for cheating the least she can do is forgive him for this minor and comprehensible wrongdoing. And since they can't be angry at each other without their brand new marriage founded on sand crumbling down, they take out on her because it's EASY. Meanwhile, nobody appologized to the moh. Seems easy to evaluate everyone's level of AHness here.

Some extra info to these stories:
For the combineren bachelor party, a lot of them got REALLY drunk and some of them also illegal substances. Most of them were under 30 and not the most stable people when they party because they can go to far. Which is why the sister said that this result was to be expected because she knew the people involved. Also the groot got shitfaced and shat himself. The sister and her husband took him to their home in the back of their truck, hosed him off and delivered him back to his bride in one of the sister's old night gowns.

As someone who has been in several polycules, some involving pre-existing children and large age gaps, if the child and I had no relationship (or even if we did) and was getting married and asked their bio parents to attend without me I'd be more than fine with that. And if they pulled what OP's parents did I'd go off on them. That's entirely inappropriate. Fucking respect your child's wishes on their big day. It's their wedding to invite who they want

My husband and I had a joint stag's do and hen's do at my sister's house (we called it a hag do), it was just a bbq with our family and some wedding guests, as we chose not to have a big wedding party. No drama, no "last night of freedom" antics, good food, good laughs, good times. And cheap. 😂

Oh no no no no no....The fact that they finally came clean and told the bridesmaid about the affair was COMPLETELY for themselves. That bride had zero concern for the bridesmaid who should NOT have been asked to be her bridesmaid in the first place because she was actively lying to her by not telling her what had happened. The bride was 100% using her then to go on social media and put HER on blast ?! Just NO.

15:22 I mean that was the best option. Because this is the “truth” from that man’s perspective. “I’m sorry Kelly you are objectively a pretty woman but I have zero physical or emotional attraction to you.” Like yeah it’s “truthful” but is it….better? I don’t think so it’s an unfortunate fact regardless of gender some people don’t understand the phrase “no means no” so short of being completely callous no “sparing of her feelings” whatsoever. There’s no way to get that message across. He’s gonna be the villain no matter what in that groups eyes.

This is my bi-annual statement that Charlotte and her editor are a match made in heaven!
Also, I just wish some people could understand that when a guy/girl expresses they aren't attracted to you, it's not necessarily them saying you're unattractive!

Tom knew she would likely not take the news well.
He for sure told her because he wanted a reaction. Or more likely to justify the hurt he was still feeling even though he claims to have forgiven.
She is not the AH for walking out on the wedding. She’s a saint for ONLY walking out on the wedding

Good take! Tom and Liz were both wanting everyone else to do the dirty work. Liz wanted to avoid telling her and Tom wanted her to cause a scene so he didn’t have to.

Yeah, I kinda felt that he wanted OP to forgive his bride because he wanted to validate his own forgiveness in an effort to convince himself he's not making a huge mistake.

The bride accusing him of ruining her day because her friend is throwing a fit because didn’t get a boyfriend is wild. She’s mad at the wrong person

Why did that girl ruin her friends wedding crying and complaining and make it all about her because some random Stanger didn't want to hook up and date her? SHE should've left if she couldn't control herself enough to let the bride enjoy her WEDDING. 🤦‍♀️

So, I was raised by a polyamorous triad so I feel I have some relatively unique insight into the "polycule" story. All three of them (my bio mom and dad and my non-bio mom) raised me and all three are equally my parents to me. They are "out" with all of their family and have experienced everything from full acceptance, being disowned, and everything in between. Here's how they handle weddings with the family that falls into the "in between" category: the people who are invited are the ones that attend (unless nobody wants to go, obviously). People can invite who they want to their wedding and if someone doesn't want your partner there, why would that partner want to go? That's just uncomfortable for everyone.
A wedding is a private party. Nobody is entitled to be there. If you don't want to attend the wedding of someone who doesn't fully support your relationship, you don't go. You can't control who accepts your situation, you can only control your own choices. Demanding an invite for your partner is such an immature and ineffective way to deal with it.

The first story perfectly reflects how I would hope to respond to that kind of devastating news. In the past, I would've been a door mat and numbed my way through to "be polite and save face and do the right thing, take the high ground." And I probably would never have forgiven myself. Walking out is the correct response. She did not deserve to be stepped on, humiliated and belittled. And anyone on Stacy/Tom's side is someone who cannot be trusted and does not deserve to be in her life.
