i as a Jew believe this too...He now is my Messiah and personal best friend, I also shared this with my bubie Yiddish grandma in Boston and she prayed, to be forgiven of sin and let Yeshua/Jesus into her heart...and came to know Him too...how wonderful...thanks...it's not actually forbidden but it is forgotten...
Ahhhhh! I love everything about this! Isaiah 52:13-53:12 is the most precious passage to me in all of Scripture. Every time I read it, I cannot deny that it is speaking of Yeshua, my Messiah, and am struck by just how He suffered for me so I could be redeemed. Thank you so much for bearing such a winsome witness to my people. No one has to give up their Jewish identity and heritage to believe in Yeshua. His love is better than life itself, and I will speak of His salvation as long as I live.
WE as a family love this interview, and have seen it several times. We have shared it with many and continue to do so. Thank you for your service to Our Most High! God Bless you
I lead my employer to the LORD this way 20 years ago. After 20 yeas of getting nowhere. I read him that chapter and asked Him who it was talking about. He Said, "Jesus of course but that is from you new testament. When I showed him he was floored and didn't understand why he never heard that is the synagogue. After telling him all about sacrifices and sin he accepted him right there and then.

@@SpotterVideo Here's a simple tip for you. Learn Hebrew! This way you'll see that the translation of "kiss the son" is very silly! hahahaha. It amazes me that so many christians formulate their opinions based on faulty translations of Tanakh
Hi Linda... My understanding of Zechariah 12v10. First of all I quote it: "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." Both "me" and "him" are used in Zechariah and both apply to the same person, as does the "him" in John 19v37: "And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced." That "him" in Zechariah is prophetic of Jesus. Throughout verses 9&10 of Zechariah, it is undoubtedly God who is speaking. "They shall look upon me whom they have pierced" refers to His knowledge of what will come to pass. "They shall mourn for him..." describes what will come to pass from the point of view of the people who shall indeed mourn for the One who was pierced.
FYI..Spanish is a combination of Hebrew, Arabic, Celtic and Latin.......I also love to listen to Scripture read in Aramaic, since that's the language that Jesus spoke .
The people of Israel were all over the world, separated. Some of them found Yeshua outside of the land of Israel. They came back in Israel already knowing that Jesus is the Messiah :) How wonderful is the mercy of God! Blessed be the Holy Trinity!
May the God of Israel continue to lift the veil from their eyes regarding this forbidden chapter that they might see Him. Such a wonderful and blessed video.
+lambskin4u And may G-d finally lift the veil from your eyes to see that this chapter is not and has never been forbidden. We have nothing to be afraid of in our scripture. The fact that the actual title of this video is a fabrication in of itself only points you towards the realization that the entire content of the video is a deception as well
+Sam Garcia People will blindly follow a belief....and some will IGNORE the truth in front of their eyes because their pride won't allow them to embrace the truth
+Sam Garcia, Yes, this video is very powerful. I met GOD's son, Jesus, over 30 years ago, and I have been blessed tremendously by His AWESOME LOVING PRESENCE and every thing that Jesus and the Holy Spirit have revealed to me! I've met many true children of GOD, and some of us have the same or confirming testimonies, and we are over-filled with the joy of the LORD GOD in us!!! My first time that I felt GOD, I was kneeling at the alter, thanking Him for Jesus saving me, and asking for the Holy Spirit. - Because, if we are the children of GOD, then we begin collecting our inheritance - the attributes of the LORD GOD, so that we can please Him, and we must accept His Spirit to know His leading and will for our life. THE NEXT THING I KNEW, I felt a huge hand on my head and forehead, and I opened my eyes to prove that it was not a person of flesh AND it wasn't! I felt the warmth of GOD's hand and I was full of joy! Shortly thereafter, I began having dreams and visions. I KNEW that it was GOD because of His great and mighty love which comes with a huge dose of peace PRESENCE - all of these feelings are SO perfect and magnified greater than we can even imagine in this world. I WANT MORE OF GOD'S HOLINESS!!! I CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT MORE OF GOD!!! I WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING TO RISK MY SALVATION AND BEING WITH JESUS FOR ALL OF ETERNITY AND BEING A PART OF GOD'S FAMILY FOREVER AND EVER!!! I am sold-out for GOD and absolutely nothing can change my mind. NOTHING!!!!!!! I have been redeemed by the Holy One of Israel, which is the son of GOD, who was born in a manger in Bethlehem. Jesus is LORD of ALL, and I am so blessed to worship Him every day, if not every hour of my life! I have held the hand of Jesus, who has delivered me from a tormenting lust that haunted me after my divorce. But, I could not stay married to a man who tried to kill me! Anyway, as I entered a strange house looking for my friend, the daughter of this house, a man came closer and closer to me. I told him boldly, "I did not come here for you!" THEN I SAW JESUS, but not His face, as He walked over to me, I did not recognize Him - UNTIL HE TOOK MY HAND - and then the peace of the LORD did surround and consume me, and I totally surrendered to Him and we walked outside and He showed me my swimming pool which was covered and with dirty water - and my neighbor's swimming pool which was uncovered and had perfectly clear water. THEN THE LORD SAID to me, "I am going to uncover your sins and make you clean!" Then I replied to Jesus, "Yes, LORD!" THEN WE WALKED OUT INTO A FIELD, and the further we went the farther apart were the mounds we continued to hop to the next mound until I was farther from my home. It was the LORD showing me that I would be disconnected from my family for a little while, as I could still see my home. Also, that I did trust Him no matter how far that I had to hop or stretch to get there, that the LORD would be with me. As, I will never forget holding His had that day, being totally surrounded, consumed and filled with the love and peace of a brother which was so full of heavenly virtue! The LORD GOD is like a breath of fresh air that we cannot breath on earth by ourselves! How refreshing is He who has made me, to make me new again, and then fill me with the gifts of heaven, and of being in this world, I only dream of heaven to be my home! What manner of love has our GOD filled me with?! I am in total AWE in my AWE each and every time I am in His presence!!! THEN I SAW the glory of the Father of Lights - it is like the colors of the rainbow, clear with color, but they're separate energetic particles that flow with power. Then they flew together like a song, and they flew together and separately right through me! And the LORD said, "I am going to fill you full of my glory." I replied, "Yes, LORD!" A FEW DAYS LATER, as I walked into my pastor's home, we barely began a conversation, when the pastor said, "You have it bad, don't you?" So I asked what he meant by that, and he said, "You have the demon of lust upon you. Would you like it gone?" I was not sure what he meant, so we talked a few minutes, and then I agreed for my pastors to pray over me. AS I RAISED MY HANDS TOWARDS HEAVEN, I felt the LORD GOD pull that vile thing from me and through me, as if my body had a bad cold, it dragged out of my feet and UP through my body and out of my head and hands which were reaching up for the LORD's deliverance. Also, I felt the attributes of that demonic thing leave me! I felt 20 pounds lighter, and much joy filled my soul!!! BELOVED, these things happened in just the beginning of my walk with our Savior. But, it is so late and I have to take care of my 3-yr-old son in the morning - WHICH THE LORD GAVE ME!!! I have never had a child, but I've always wanted to be a mother and feel life inside of me. Of course GOD knew this. So, for 30 days, everyone I knew or didn't know asked me about how many children I wanted or when I was planning to have a child or when we were going to start a family or something along those lines. I mean, we barely said 'hello' and that was the topic of discussion! As soon as I realized what the LORD was saying to me, I said, "Yes, LORD!" and then it stopped. Except my pastor's wife told me about her dream of me holding a baby in my arms. Then, when I visited a new or strange church, having a revival, the evangelist called me out and prophesied the same. I did not know anyone in that church. THE LORD GOD LED ME to many churches in the beginning of my walk with Him, and He showed me the hearts of His people, and He showed me the wrong doctrines of men. So, immediately after service I would attempt to talk to the pastor, and when I couldn't I began talking to people about what the Bible actually said. In this instance, it was about the gifts of GOD's Holy Spirit. The LORD showed me that we are to chase after these gifts, as children. To desire them and want them, because our Father GOD wants to give them to us, His children! Well, this pastor was telling the Methodists to wait for these gifts, just as any person gives you a gift, to treat GOD as a person and simply wait... AND GOD TOLD ME TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH, and I did. What began as a group of 4 became 8, and then 12 and then 20 people stood around me while I preached and showed them the Living Words of our GOD. Some asked questions and I answered them without a glitch BECAUSE the Holy Spirit of GOD flowed His Living Waters of Life, right through me! I LOVE OUR CREATOR, OUR GOD, OUR MIGHTY FORTRESS, ADONAI, and FATHER GOD!!!
I said "It's not allowed" because I heard from my teacher that in the Jewish Library in Israel or some other place I forgot where, the Commentary of Isaiah 53 was not on the shelves. If this was a wrong information, I apologize, but I didn't lie. What I heard I just shared, not in the bad sense, but to tell others that it's so sad if it's not allowed to read Isaiah 53. That's my motivation. No hard feeling against anybody. I'm sorry.
+Jeane Ch. Obadja (CJ Discipler-Way) Thanks for that statement. Your comment perfectly sums up the general mindset of those who believe the above video. Your apology is accepted and I know you were misguided. And just like you've been misguided by the idea that chapter 53 is forbidden, you and thousands of others have been misguided by the poison of the rest of this video
+JC Obadja (CJ Discipler-Way) I'm sure you didn't lie. No worries. But your explanation demonstrates the poorly founded claims of those that believe in the above video. Millions of people worldwide trust the information of the above video when it's all based on absolute garbage. If only people would actually look into matters properly and just make an effort to use some brains when it comes to these issues
It's amazing how you can see the spirit of God in people. When he mentions Jesus his face lights up and you can see the joy. Amazing when people testify about the LORD, especially to the Hebrew people. Awesome video.
Which is correct, Jesus is God Himself, who came to save and deliver us. God Himself coming to save us. No other Messiah, but God and God Himself, right?
@@ap.gxnxsxs No... because the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are three parts of a single whole. One does not exist with out the other. The disciple John writes in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. To give praise to one is to give to all. God took upon our burdens by assuming an earthly body. He experienced all that we had and resisted temptation of sin. When Christ died a sinner's death it became the ransom that paid the blood price we each owe. Now we can be forgiven and redeemed as long as we accept Him as such. Christ says "the only way is through ME" (emphasis added)
Adella Adams “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6 You tell me who it’s speaking of....
Isaiah 41:8 But you, O Israel, MY servant, Jacob, you whom I have chosen, offspring of Abraham who loved ME-you whom I shall grasp from the ends of the earth and summon from among all its nobleman, and to whom I will say, 'You are my servant-I have chosen you and not rejected you!"
Adella Adams Servant in the verse that you quoted Adella and son in Exodus.. Scriptures tell us that Israel is both. It never ever was a man....always Israel. Exodus 4:22-23 “And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus said HASHEM, “Yisra’ĕl is My son, My first-born, 4:23 so I say to you, let My son go to serve Me. But if you refuse to let him go, see, I am killing your son, your first-born.”
Good question. When Israel's exile is finally ended, the nations, who are speaking here, will marvel that such a generation could have survived the expulsion from "the land of the living' ie, the land of Israel, and all that the nation has sinfully inflicted upon Israel! I hope that you will understand this. This is what Isaiah is talking about.
Dear Adella, thanks for answering. I know you hope I "understand" but I cannot accept your interpretation, and I don't believe you should either. It says "He was cut off out of the land of the living..." It does not say that he was expelled from the land of Israel. The context of Isaiah 53 also shows an actual "cutting off", i.e. death. "He made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death." If this is talking about the Israeli nation then it seems a very logical conclusion to say that the whole nation is cut off from the earth (dead) and put in the grave. The "land of the living" being interpreted as "the land of Israel" is not a valid interpretation based on the context (is there any other Scripture that calls Israel the "land of the living"?). According to Jeremiah 31:35-37 the Jews will never be cut off from the land of the living (those alive on earth), for HaShem will preserve them. "The land of the living" is used 15 times in Scripture and, contextually, refers to those above ground (alive) in contrast to those in earth (dead). Even in the context of Isaiah, in 38:11, it says, "I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world." It is very evident that to be cut off from the land of the living is to be dead, and this has never happened to all the Israeli people, nor will it (I think it does well to say it never happened to a "righteous remnant" either). Is Israel the Messiah? Has Israel been bruised for the Gentile's sins, or for their own? Has Israel done no violence and has their been no deceit in their mouth (cf. Isaiah 5)? I hope you will consider the words of Nachmonidas (1194-c.1270), in his Book of Redemption: "The culmination and goal of all prophesies is the coming of Moshiach; as our sages have stated: 'All the prophets prophesied only concerning the days of Moshiach.'"
+RichardGMoss Not sure what scripture you're citing, since you didn't quote it. But never-the-less, Jesus isn't a "mere man." He's God in the flesh. He's revealed in the Old Testament almost as clearly as the New Testament. Perhaps you think you're good enough for heaven. Good luck with that. Jesus or idolatry, take your pick. Just remember. You won't be able to say you didn't know.
+Aaron Axmacher I'm not surprised that you are not familiar with my reference seeing as it comes from G-d's word!! There is no reference to Yoshkeh in what you call OT, even the mistranslations only give ambiguous reference.
+RichardGMoss I've been reading God's word everyday for 24 years now. I'd gladly put my knowledge of it up against yours. Since you bring it up. But you have to have eyes to see and ears to hear before God's word can do you any good. And it's Jesus who give eyes to see and ears to hear. So we can see where that leaves you. Your words are empty. If you want to speak for God; quote His word. God has spoken for Himself. He doesn't need your help. Let me demonstrate: "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God." JOHN 1:1 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20 "The Lord said to my lord, 'sit at my right hand while I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." "Every knee WILL bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!"
+Aaron Axmacher So fat you haven't quoted G-d's word, just the Roman texts known as the NT. If you want to know G-d's word that is what you should concentrate on.
Isaiah 43:10 You are MY witness-the word of HASHEM-and MY servant whom I have chosen, so that you will know and believe in ME, and understand that I AM HE; before ME nothing was created by a god nor will there be after ME!
You have to bind those things that are not of christ and yet study he forgave everything in scripture...the Saints the prophets the children of Moshe if you love ...and Ha-shem the realize You have people that has the truth...we want to know I belive

Hi, only seeing all this now as was away on a long journey... which coincidentally was very much about peace... on a personal level. I lived through turbulent times when I was younger in N. Ireland. There were 'tit for tat' murders everywhere & we lived in fear, as a family, that we would be next... Talking of geneology, my brother has our family traced back 400 years... you see there are traditionally 2 warring factions here. But when individuals from either side ask Jesus into their hearts... the result is truly amazing. He can bring peace between Planter & Gael, & Jews/Muslims/Gentiles + warring tribes all across the world... like no one else could ever do. This week I broke down and cried tears of joy because of a certain encounter in my own life. Look, for example, at what happens in the life of a Muslim who asks Jesus into his heart (and there have been many in recent years). On a personal level, my Lord, my Creator (and yes I believe in one God) has given me a love for my fellow mankind that excels anything I ever thought possible. If someone has wronged me in the past, I believe that judgement belongs to Him and I leave it with Him. I just love that person in Him and pray for him. Only His indwelling Presence in my heart can give me a love for my traditional enemy, in the knowledge that judgement ultimately belongs to Him. He works on the hearts and minds of individuals... like no one else could ever do.
Those who claim this is speaking of Israel have been brainwashed. It is obviously speaking of someone who bears the sins of Israel. Israel cannot atone for her own sins and bear her own sins to save herself. "Surely he (Messiah) hath borne our (Israel's) griefs, and carried our (Israel's) sorrows: yet we (Israelis) did esteem him (Messiah) stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted." Note the distinct difference between "HE" and "OUR" - "HE" and "WE"- they cannot be the same!
It might help if you saw a correct translation. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his stripes we were healed.
+Takashi Bodhi - Beautiful! I pray your friend will find his Savior and Messiah who has been prophesied throughout all Scripture. Jesus is the perfect Passover Lamb of God, whose sinless blood conquered sin, death, and Hell. And through faith, His powerful spotless blood is placed over the doorpost of our hearts, freeing us from spiritual death and translating us into Eternal Life! ✞
+Laura Carson Your ignorance is astounding , You claim that the verse in Isaiah 53 with the usual translation by the author of Mathew means"By his stripes we are heald ,but the Passover lamb had to be offered with out blemish , The Passover lamb had to be roasted and eaten . Was jebus roasted and eaten? and gentiles and the uncircumcised could not partake of it yet Paul says if you are circumcised jebus will not profit you , The Passover sacrifice had nothing to do with atonement , It was a faith offering that was a test based on the fact that the Egyptians worshiped the lamb and like xtians made it into a god , The penalty for killing the Egyptian god was death ,and the open killing of such proved that the Jews now trusted in G-d enough to defy the Egyptians even under threat of death . The fact is that Horus the Egyptian man god who is the prototype for jebus was also called lamb of god , The Catholic church invented the term agnus dei (lamb of god), In addition the Passover lamb was a female of the first year which certainly did not apply to jebus. I don't however blame you since slogans no matter how false and ridiculous are part and parcel of the church's brainwashing of the sheeple in the steeple
Jewish truth by Avrumeleh Melamid Now now, try not to let your hateful heart get in the way of the truth of the Scriptures. I promise not to insult your religion even if I think it is misguided by the Talmud. You as a Jew know very clearly that lambs were used throughout the scriptures as a sacrificial offering to our Holy God. All throughout the Old Testament and Torah - but especially at the Passover, lambs were used. Particularly spotless unblemished lambs. And Jesus was the perfect sinless Passover Lamb of God. His sacrifice was once and for all. And just like at the Passover, if you killed a spotless lamb and placed it's blood over the doorpost of your home, the angel of death would passover your home and your family would live. It was an act of faith. And Jesus requires FAITH in Him and in what He did through His death and resurrection for the cleansing of the sins of the world. Faith in the One True Lamb of God who gives us eternal life, reconciles us to the Father, cleanses us from all sin, and adopts us into the family of God. Once and for all. I'm not a catholic, the New Testament scriptures were written by those who knew and lived with Jesus. As far as the catholic church, they are an off-shoot of christianity, but fall far from the first century church and are in error of many of it's teachings. As far as eating the Passover Lamb, here's what Jesus did the night before His death: "Jesus had taken some bread and after giving thanks, He broke it and gave it to the apostles, saying, *“This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”* And in the same way Jesus took the cup and when he had given thanks, he gave to them: and they all drank of it. And He said unto them, *"This is My Blood of the covenant, which is shed for many."* So yes, Jesus is the final perfect Passover Lamb who defeated sin, death, the grave and Hell. He is your *only hope,* my friend. Jesus is your Messiah prophesied throughout your Scriptures, that you have rejected. Yes, you killed Him, but by His stripes you can be healed. Even now, He offers you forgiveness and peace with the Father. Remember, the Passover Lamb *had to die* so that we could be covered by the Blood as a protection from death - spiritual death.
Lastly, Therefore, just as sin came into the world through *one man* Adam, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned- for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a *type of the One* who was to come. (Jesus) Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the *one man’s disobedience* the many were made sinners, so by the *one man’s obedience* the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hi, Would you please provide a source or evidence for where you get that Isaiah 53 is considered the Forbidden Chapter by the Jewish Community or Rabbi's?
As the end of 2016 approaches, I am once again close to the end of the Old Testament. This morning read from Joel 3... "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." (v14) I look forward now to the books of Amos, Obadiah, Jonah etc. Some verses really stay with me, especially Micah 5v2: "But thou, Bethlehem Ephra-tah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting..." I look forward also to reading the books of the NT. Romans 3 is interesting in that it refers much to "Jews and Gentiles." There was a time in my life when the spiritual meant little to me, but one cold December day someone gave me a gift... a Bible. I started to read it as a book... but when I sincerely prayed for the Lord to reveal His truth to me, things changed, conviction took over and some months later, at the end of August in the next year, I was alone in a dangerous situation when I trusted Him as Saviour. Feelings? Yes I agree you can't rely on them. What I have is a deep assurance. After a serious health diagnosis some time ago I had no idea what the future held... but I am still here for as long as He wants me to be here and I know that when I die, I will be "absent from the body" and "present with the Lord." (2Cor 5v8) I believe simply that this is His will for each one of us... and wish everyone who reads... every good spiritual blessing for the future. "He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces..." ((Isaiah 25v8) "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1Cor. 15v57)
+RichardGMoss please do read Zechariah 12 to 14. (They will look upon the one who they have pierced) (when one ases him, what are those wounds in your hands, he will say the wounds i received in the house of my friends "Zecariah 12:6" , many psalms also speak about his death and some other prophets. Please do understand that according with Zechariah mosiach Ben David is the dame as Mosiach Ben Joseph, but they come in different times!
+héctor ortega That's what happens when you read a deliberate mistranslation designed to fool the naïve. Now try reading the original text and you will see how you have been lied to. Also try reading in context and not using individual verses.
+RichardGMoss the problem is that you do not want to accept that the Messiah comes twice as a servant and as a king. And the problem is for you, because there are gallure of passages that talk of the Messiah being rejected and coming twice. And your bibles have been badly translated in some parts on purpose. If you do not believe me go and check the kunram scroolls how some things have been changed from some jewsih bibles in order not to accept the Messiah... And just for you to know, the Messiah did not abolish the torah, he just fulfilled it and died as the pesach lamb once and for all. You may get to se the great exodus, how the house of Israel having been brought back to obedience through Messiah Yehshua come back to their land. The house of Judah is not the whole Israel. As a piece of advice try not to believe everything Rabbis say because they distort most of the things for your own bad. Jeremiah I do think talks about the false pen of the scribe.
+héctor ortega Ah, Zechariah chapter 12. Another poor victim to the church's perversion of Jewish scripture. Why are you translating it like that? The actual translation reads: "They will look upon ME the one whom they pierced/stabbed". Why did you leave out the "me"? Hmmm.... Could it be you're basing your understanding of the verse from the cross-reference made in John 19:37? So why did John leave out the word "me"??? Seems he had issues with that word and, like most of the gospels rape of the bible, conveniently skirted over it in order to deceptively push their false claims. But John 19:37 isn't the main problem. The bigger problem is John 19:36 which says that the episode of the crucifixion in of itself (which that chapter describes) was a fulfillment of Zechariah 12:10 when the soldiers pierced jc in the side with a spear (john 19:34), having nothing to do with the actual crucifixion. Furthermore, Zechariah chapter 12 speaks about the end of days, not the time of jc's death
Yes there are a lot of books that the sages of blessed memory knew were not good enough to be included into the Tenach because they contradicted the Torah and were false doctrine and did not promote the love of HASHEM for the Jewish people.
+David Lothar The messianics are really converts to Evangelical xtianity Evangelical xtians keep the pagan Sunday sabbath invented by the idolatrous Raoman Catholic church as predicted in Daniel chap 7
+David Lothar Isaiah doesn't allude to Jesus. The "servant" (as Adella has proven) is the nation of Israel, or the faithful ones of Israel. The term "messiah" (or mashiach) does NOT occur in the book of Isaiah, because the "servant" is NOT messiah, but corporate Israel.
Paul Sandberg If you discuss the holiness of Jesus, that's your problem between you and him. Compare Isaiah 53 and the last days of the life of Jesus, and tell the world (also read you) that the awaited Messiah of the book of Isaiah is not Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus IS God.
+David Lothar , just making a categoric statement that "Jesus IS God" shouldn't impress anyone. Frankly, I'm not interested in your opinions, but in evidence. The Book of Isaiah doesn't maintain at all that the "servant" is God. On the contrary, it refutes that very notion, since Isaiah 11: 3 says the servant "will delight in the FEAR of the LORD". Please explain how God can FEAR God! Moreover, if your Jesus is the "servant", then was Jesus "blind" and "deaf", for Isaiah 42:19 says: "Who is BLIND but my servant and DEAF like the messenger I send". Clearly, the servant cannot be Jesus! Moreover, turning to Isaiah 53 (which Christians like to parachute into, avoiding the earlier and later chapters, since Christians thereby circumvent the clear definitions of who the "servant" actually is, as given by Isaiah himself), we see that the servant is blessed with "seed" ("zerah" in the Hebrew). Seed (sometimes translated as "offspring" in Christian bibles) always means children in the Bible. Isaiah 53:10 says the servant will see his "seed". So, tell me, did Jesus have children?! Furthermore, Isaiah 53: 11 says that by the servant's "knowledge" he will justify many. But the NT teaches that it is by FAITH in Jesus that people are justified or saved (not by knowledge of him or his teachings0. Even the Muslims know about Jesus. Does that mean their knowledge of Jesus justifies them? Furthermore Isaiah 53:12 says (NIV): "Therefore I will give him a portion among the great.and he will divide the spoils with the strong...." So if the servant is Jesus, then he is JUST ONE MAN among many "great" and "strong" men. He is NOT unique or peerless (let alone God)! Dividing the "spoils" refers to a battle scene in which the victorious get the booty and plunder of battle. But why would your divine JEsus, who as God owns the entire universe, even desire war booty?! What would he do with battle plunder?! And this has not been fulfilled in Jesus either! So you can't say it points to him. The context of Isaiah 53 is a continuation of the earlier chapters (the original manuscripts were not even divided into chapters or separate sections). So what is the context that Isaiah is describing? If you don't just parachute down into chapter 53, you will understand that the context is the persecution of the Jews, in particular the faithful Jews (who are the "servant", as Isaiah consistently DEFINES throughout his book) by the Assyrians. There is no indication that Isaiah ever steps outside this context to portray an event to occur 700 or so years later! On the contrary, the tenses in chapter 53 are PAST TENSE, e.g. he TOOK up our sicknesses... he WAS despised etc. They describe events that had unfolded before Isaiah's own eyes. You should hear and consider the informed Jewish perspective and interpretation of Isaiah 53, and THEN make up your own mind! But are you brave enough to be challenged? If not, then stop arguing with Jews, many of whom can read the original Hebrew, not just a trumped up Christian translation into English! Rabbi Michael Skobac (UA-cam) and other Jews, who can read the ORIGINAL HEBREW, explain those texts. There is nothing in the Old Testament that points to Jesus in any coherent manner. Christians can only claim that they do by taking scripture entirely out of context (by not examining the surrounding verses) and MIS-TRANSLATING to arrive at their manufactured christological interpretation and agenda.

I wasn't aware that this chapter was forbidden in the Jewish holy book. Very disturbing... I pray that it will be revealed to more and more people. As a Gentile, I asked Jesus to be my Saviour nearly 40 years ago... a wonderful decision which changed the course of my whole life. I am so thankful for His Presence with me all these years.
I'm sure you weren't aware of it. The reason is because it's simply not true. If you can so easily believe something like that from a short youtube video, without any proper investigation, that is what's disturbing
LOL, It's not! There are no forbidden chapters! That's how stupid Christians and Messianics are! They've been told we're not allowed to read Isaiah 53. They even think it's not in our Bible (Tanakh)! I know a Jew who was secular as an adult and not well studied in his youth. Someone told him we weren't allowed to read it and he's been telling everyone since that it's been kept from us! We get a great laugh about it! It is true a lot of Jews have not read Isaiah 53 but it's true that a lot of Gentiles have not read Isaiah 53! They haven't read Isaiah 51, 52, 54, 55 or 56 either! Like many people Jew and non-Jew, they haven't read all of the Bible! In fact, only about 10 to 12 percent of professing Christians have ever read the entire Bible! If you went to a Protestant or Catholic church and asked everyone there if they ever heard of Isaiah 53, they'd say no! In fact, I'll bet you could do this video in front of a church with the same outcome! Go ask a Christian: did you know there is a hidden chapter in the Bible and you will get the exact same response as you do in this video! How stupid does someone have to be to know what a farce this is? I can't believe Christians and Messianics fall for this!
I found this absolutely fascinating - and telling. Sadly, modern Jewish Rabbis are acting like the Pharisees of Yahshua's day in deceiving their own people, having consistently not read Isaiah 53 out loud in the synagogues. This is tragic, since it speaks of the Suffering Servant in such a way as to perfectly equate him with Jesus or Yahshua and what He experienced when He was crucified for our transgressions. How many more of them would believe if Isaiah 53 was read aloud in the synagogues, as it should be?
+Helena Lehman You only could arrive at that conclusion if you read a translated version where the text has been manipulated. Try learning Hebrew and read the text for yourself and you will see how the priests have lied to you

Isaiah 53 Old Testament 53 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b] 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. 11 After he has suffered, he will see the light of life[d] and be satisfied[e]; by his knowledge[f] my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,[g] and he will divide the spoils with the strong,[h] because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. herbielina, wrong, wrong, wrong, it is not virgin, but young woman. This was mistranslated by the church. The same word in Hebrew is translated as young woman in every other instance in the Christian bible. The sign was given to the king that Isaiah was talking to and fulfilled. Most honest Christian scholars agree that this is not a prophecy of JC.

that's amazing.wonderful...I like it a lot....that is the true...i'm very happy because more jews believe in jesus, Thank you father, because you are so merciful.
I always speak of Isaiah 53 when talking to Jews. They say it's Israel. But we know it's a person, Yeshua. I love this! Blessings to you guys for doing this in Yeshua s name!!! Just a side note, you may already do this, but these people being witnessed to need to know it's not the catholic jesus. They need to be told that that is a pagan worship, totally different from judeo christianity.
*THE VAST MAJORITY of jewish people are utterly blinded to Messiah Yeshuah UNTIL GOD is pleased to UNblind them. There is a remnant that WILL receive him in true repentance, ... the rest will be cast into outer darkness with the rest who reject The Light of the world.*
+Maria Gee A REMNANT THAT LOVES TRUTH will be saved. not "all". GOD always saves and deals with a remnant. most only have eg0-love for self and for their personal prejudices.
+NZL I've READ the Tanach many times, arrogant and presumptuous one. What I have stated above is FACT. ... if you want the details, see the five volume work by Dr.Michael L. I think it is talking about the need to evolve for human beings. The need to re-access, reform and adopt to the present times. It does not mean violating or even changing past teachings. It is just making it better and more understanding. Like an enlightened society. Enlightenment and evolution is a timely thing.
So many arguments on here, how about debating in love , we are able to differ as we are not talking about the religion of peace so our heads are safe and we can disagree without fear of being killed. For what its worth , I thank YHWH for the Jewish people, because through them he gave me Yeshua and the prophets whom recorded His word and exploits and a modern nation risen from the dead that invents things that make life easier and better. Pray for and stand with our Jewish brethren, the world is against them and we know why and the time of Jacobs Trouble is nigh upon us. Remember Genesis 12 v 3 and that our King is a Hebrew whom said what ? in John 4 v 22. Jesus/Yeshua is Lord.
Such a blessing, So beutiful when the person reallises that it was Jesus, and when someone talks about Jesus they reject him still today, his own people.. :'( :)
You are so mixed up. Who is doing the talking in 53? It is the nations talking about Israel the suffering servant. The paragraph starts at 52:13. and if you understood Hebrew you would have a better understanding of why the Jews know the the suffering servant is Israel! Verse 15 So the many nations will exclaim about him.
really, Israel rejected itself and died innocent for it's sins to make intercession for us? that is modern interpretation..because obviously it is my best personal friend our Messiah...Isaiah 52:13-16 says the Messiah will first sprinkle all nations and kings will bow to Him then He will return to reign...
A text without a context is just a pretext. It's not hidden it's known to most Jews, who can read it in context and know exactly to what it refers and it's not Yoshkeh
yes my parents were.not christians but when i cried out to Jesus for help i was saved i saw vision of the perfect Lamb that was saved yes it is him it is him!
Of course when you present this chapter to people who have no understanding of the book of Isaiah and Tanach in general, you can convince them of anything. Anyone who studies tanach properly, and doesn't quote isolated verses and chapters out of context, are fools. Just because this video captures Jewish people (if they actually are Jewish) falling for it doesn't mean a thing. Take a look at the preceding chapters in Isaiah (41:8, 44:1-2, 45:4, 48:20, 49:3) and then discover the real identity of "my servant" in chapter 53
+NZL I looked up the reference in 49:3 and although it uses the name Israel it doesn't seem to be talking about the Nation of Israel but an individual because as I continued reading it talked about other things like gathering Israel to God and restoring the preserved of Israel, which seem kind of strange to be saying that the Nation of Israel will gather the Nation of Israel to God and restore a select group within itself, It then goes on to talk about other thing like being a light to Gentiles and bringing salvation to the whole world, which actually sounds a lot like the Christian view of Jesus to be honest. Just thinking out loud.
+Philip Booth Hey Philip. I'm happy you looked up 49:3. What did you think of the other sources? So your question is one I've seen a few times. Multiple times in the Bible G-d is talking to or about a fraction of Israel yet He refers to them in the singular and He also refers to them as the entire nation. It's the same case here. G-d is talking about the remnant of Israel, those who remained loyal to Him. It is this remnant who will gather the assimilated and lost Jews and reunite the divided tribes. This remnant, hopefully along with the reinvigorated Jews who were gathered, will act as a light unto the nations. If it sounds a lot like the christian view, that is not a proof. Since christianity came after Judaism and the Bible, retroactively fitting christianity into the Bible can be done by anyone. It is often compared to a marksmen who shoots an arrow into a tree and only after draws the target around the already implanted arrow; everyone who comes to see the arrow in the center of the bullseye is convinced the marksmen is the most talented and accurate in the kingdom... I'll let you fill in the rest
+NZL ? - I do have a life outside of youtube you are not always going to get a response from me if at all. I'll have a look at some of the other refs later and I get the tree arrow illustration thought it can work the other way also, as I'm sure you could be accused of doing the same thing, if you have already decided your arrow is going to be planted in the 'this can not be talking about Jesus tree' then you can draw what ever you want around that arrow too, and 'we shot our arrow first' holds no ground in determining whose aim is more accurate.
+Philip Booth The arrow analogy was never meant to support my side. It was brought in order to show how the above video (and the general method it follows) is flawed. Those references I sent you are what matter more. They provide the information that support how my side's arrow was indeed shot after the target was painted
"Forbidden Chapter" is made up propaganda. How about a dose of truth..... Though the “servant” in Isaiah 53 is not openly identified - these verses merely refer to “My servant” (52:13, 53:11) - the “servant” in each of the previous Servant Songs is plainly and repeatedly identified as the Jewish nation. Beginning with chapter 41, the equating of God’s Servant with the nation of Israel is made nine times by the prophet Isaiah, and no one other than Israel is identified as the “servant”: “You are My servant, O Israel” (41:8) “You are My servant, Israel” (49:3) see also Isaiah 44:1, 44:2, 44:21, 45:4, 48:20 The Bible is filled with other references to the Jewish people as God’s “servant”; see Jeremiah 30:10, 46:27-28; Psalms 136:22. There is no reason that the “servant” in Isaiah 53 would suddenly switch and refer to someone other than the Jewish people.
John Steinson Isaiah 53 "not openly identified"...really? LOL!! "But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM, And by HIS stripes we are healed. We have turned, every one, to his own way; And The Lord has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all!" You really are smashing that square peg in a round hole, if you think THAT is Israel. Lets hear your translation of PSALM 2 ?
herbielina Exodus 4:22-23 Notice how Israel is "son" singular. Also referred to as "he" and "him" singular. Exodus 4:22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." ' Exodus 4:23 So I say to you, 'Send out My son so that he will worship Me, but if you refuse to send him out, behold, I am going to slay your firstborn son.' " The Bible is filled with other references to the Jewish people as God’s “servant”; see Jeremiah 30:10, 46:27-28; Psalms 136:22. There is no reason that the “servant” in Isaiah 53 would suddenly switch and refer to someone other than the Jewish people.
herbielina Isaiah 53:5 "But he was pained because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his wound we were healed.
John Steinson So you believe the Messiah is Israel? You really need to ask God why He allowed The Temple to be destroyed, so there is no more sacrifice for sins. Because the Ultimate sacrifice , The Lamb of God was put on the Tree and shed His Blood for us. Also don't forget Pharaoh wanted to kill all the newborn sons of Israel. And King Herod wanted to kill all the newborn sons of Bethlehem after the Visiting Wise Men told him they seek the newborn King. Fulfilling the Prophecy Micah 5:2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting. "
herbielina Isaiah 53 speaks of the Messianic age, not of the messiah himself. Blood wasn't always needed. Lev 5:11 "But if he cannot afford two turtle doves or two young doves, then he shall bring as his sacrifice for his sin one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall not put oil over it, nor shall he place frankincense upon it, for it is a sin offering." God has always rejected human blood sacrifices. Micah 5:2 says nothing about a messiah coming to be killed and to come back a second time. It doesn't give any names so therefore Jesus is just an unproven speculation. Ancient Egyptians worshiped lambs. To sacrifice a lamb in Egypt proved allegiance to God. The Passover blood was used to protect the first born. The Passover Lamb had nothing to do with any sin, that is a Christian concept.
So beautifully explained to his own people. You can see their minds heading towards cognitive dissonance. "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good." 1Thes 5:21
What a load of dung! Totally misusing the Tanach. These poor people are being lead to miss the context that the "person" referred to is the children of Israel. Oh, how glad I am that I've come out of that idolatry. These poor people need to check out Outreach Judaism with Rabbi Tovia Singer. He can show them the truth. I'm not even Jewish and this video makes me weep for the people who are being so misled.
How do you so easily discount the evidence "the mass of testimony - gilead" of the billions of gentiles around the globe that have come to know and worship the GOD if Israel who is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob? How do you suppose they, all the many hundreds of thousands of them, came to know him in the first place? What about all these Jews who have themselves come to the conclusion that Jesus IS the Christ of GOD, seated at the right hand of Power on High & has poured out the Spirit of GOD & continues to do so to this day? Just consider this for a minute... www.oneforisrael.org/ www.imetmessiah.com/
Lies lies and more lies...Isaiah 53 is a messianic passage but not about the Mashiach. It is all about Israel. It is the nations speaking about Israel in the end days when their eyes are opened to the Truth. In Jer 16:19 it says that the nations will confess to Hashem that they inherited lies from their fathers. This is exactly the lie they inherited from their fathers. Turn from worshipping idols and worship the G-d of Israel only.
worshipping the god of israel means believing in the one who he sent-namely jesus the christ. read your scriptures there are literally 100s of prophecies concerning the Messiah and all were fullfilled and will be fulfilles by Jesus (Yeshua)
All the so-called "JC prophesies'' are read into and not from the verses. And are ALL out of context. There is not even one unambiguous verse is the Tanach to prove his messiahship.
Damn. He did so good right till the very end when he said we have to do something in order for Yeshua to take our sins away. I’m surprised he taught the false doctrine of free will rather than the Biblical doctrine of Election.
Read the recent book "The Foundation of Augustinian-Calvinism" by Ken Wilson if you want to know how Augustine invented a method to explain how infants could become the "elect" through water baptism. Since the child had not come to faith, it must be based on the will of another. It could have nothing to do with the will of the child.
Wrong.Wrong.wrong. This is a terribly form of manipulation. But of course, that is the greatest weapon in the arsenal of missionaries. First of all-- Judaism has NO concept of punishment for your thoughts. Secondly, The sacrifices were considered a secondary form of repentance. They were mostly for sins considered accidentally. The Paschal lamb, to which the Paul drew a parallel to Jesus was NOT a sin offering. This is a fabricated concept. And this chapter is not forbidden. It's read openly, the way Isaiah intended it, with the other 52 chapters before giving it context. I don't know who these people are in the video, I don't know how much of what they said was cut out from these scenes, but I will never cease to be amazed at how many lies you tell in the name of missionary work. Shame on you.
Sometimes I cry and ask the Lord why do your chosen people hate your Son Lord? Why do they reject him? It is sad to think that God’s chosen people hate Yashua...
Then stop crying and rejoice because it is not jesus that we Jews hate. It is the evil which is represented by the belief that jesus is the Messiah which we hate.
Actually it's not hidden, but it's not allowed to read and no commentator dares to discuss this chapter for fear that the rejected messiah is the true messiah they're waiting for so long since ancient days. Thanks for this wonderful video. Very clear and real. Toda' rava'

John 5:46-47 KJV For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. [47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Oh that's simple to answer: When one truly "believes" in "Moses and his writings", and actually studies all of Tanach (what you call the "old" testament) properly, they will recognize that "he wrote of me" is non-existent.
Romans 11:26,27 "And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."
Keep walking in you rose colored glasses. I was a Xian once. I began to study Hebrew. I loved the blessings and wondered about more of the practices of Judaism. Then I began to wonder, "Why don't the Jews believe in JC?" So I began to study the rabbis and listen to the rabbis. Now I know why they don't accept JC and I no longer do either. Each person has their pat, a pipe if you will, ( I got this from a great teacher I study under) I'll stay out of your pipe and you stay out of mine. It really didn't take me long after I questioned why that I learned and I'm so glad I did. Hashem is an awesome G-d and there is no one beside him.
you can completely change a stories meaning by read one chapter of the story out of context. To get the full story and not a distorted story you need to read ideally the whole book or all least the chapters 51, 52, and 54, to get the context and true meaning of chapter 53 of Isaiah.
I find one argument that is advocated by some of my Jewish friends on here quite interesting. That being that the New Testament is antisemtic because Paul, or other authors of the NT, call the Jewish people blind. I find this interesting, because my Jewish friends always seem to stress how they know the Tanakh far better then any Christian does. I am going to challenge my Jewish friends on that point, because I feel that if you all knew the Tanakh as well as you say you do, you would not use such an argument against the New Testament. The Tanakh uses very similar language in regards to the blindness of the Jewish people as the New Testament and obviously The Tanakh is not antisemitic. Isaiah 6:9 And He said: 'Go, and tell this people: Hear ye indeed, but understand not; And see ye indeed, but perceive not.10 Make the heart of this people fat, And make their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they, seeing with their eyes, And hearing with their ears, And understanding with their heart, Return, and be healed.11 Then said I: 'Lord, how long?' And He answered: 'Until cities be waste without inhabitant, And houses without man, And the land become utterly waste, Compare this with what Paul says in Romans 11. Romans 11:25 I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob." This is not antisemitic rhetoric, actually far from it. The New Testament discourages and condemns antisemtic rhetoric as the very first verse of Romans 11 demonstrates. Romans 11:1 I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin 2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew.
You have to prove your claim by quoting the new testament, a book no Jew would take on authority? You're accusing us of being blind to something that's not there? By this, you're also suggesting that you must have special knowledge that Jews don't have. That's a nice cop out. One day we'll see that we were all wrong, is that it? So what does the New Testament say about Mormons? Are they blind too because they don't see your truth? Does the new testament say blindness will happen to the Mormons? What about Muslims, does the Bible also say they're blind too? The reason why Jews don't believe in Jesus is that we study our Bible, the Tanakh and you don't. We have come to a different conclusion based on the message we received from the Prophets. Now please tell me, how did you come to your conclusion that your belief is right?
The reason I quoted the NT, is to show the use of similar language to that of the Tanakh. Of course I do not expect for you to believe it to be authoritative in any sense. You say that it is not there, but I have demonstrated on threads throughout the comment section that there is good reason to believe that it really is there. G-d is the giver of knowledge and He can give knowledge to those whom He will according to His plans and purposes and He can keep people back from knowledge according to His plans and purposes. Yes, according to Zacheriah 12:10-14 there is going to be great sorrow over an individual who has been thrust through by the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Obviously, this individual must be someone who is extremely important to the Jewish people given that the grieving is like one grieves for an only son. Could this VIP be the Messiah? Could this be the same individual spoken of in Isaiah 53? It seems pretty clear contextually, that the Jewish people are in mourning because they will realize that thrusting this individual through was wrong. This realization occurs when G-d pours out a spirit of repentance upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem and this spirit of repentance also clearly happens throughout every Jewish family in this chapter. So, there will come a point in the end times, where yes, you will see that you are wrong. All unbelievers are blind, whether they be Jews, Mormons or Muslims. 2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. You say, that you as a Jew study Tanakh and I as a Christian do not. While I admit, you are very knowledgeable about the Tanakh, I think you are overestimating your knowledge and underestimating mine. If yours was as great as you say it is and mine as small as you say it is, I think our discussions would have gone like this" Me: Argument, You: counterargument, Me: silence" I think we both know that is not how our discussions have been. My arguments in this discussion with you all, have so far, generally been without refutation or counterargument. There could be many reasons for this, including the fast pace of life, so I am not going to lay out the accusation that you all can't refute my arguments. I will say though, if you are going to make the claim, that I as a Christian, do not know and study Tanakh, you need to demonstrate the truthfulness of that claim. The only way I can see how you can do such, is by utterly refuting my arguments, to the point in which, I have nothing of substance left to say. My epistemology is that of evidentialism, so I come to the conclusion that my belief is right based on the weight of evidence. The view that has the most evidence is the view that I embrace as true and the view that has not much evidence I reject as false. As far as this discussion is concerned, the weight of evidence points me towards Jesus being the promised Messiah of Israel. No doubt you will say "It is the lack of evidence that causes me to reject Jesus as Messiah". This is where the importance of our two sides discussing and debating these issues comes in. Us Christians will bring our arguments and you Jews will bring your counterarguments. The one that has the evidence on their side will win the debate. This is why I love the art of debate, because it gives me a chance to see if my belief is according to the evidence or not. Much of the counter arguments your side presents, fails to actually deal with what is actually written in the text of Tanakh. You all appeal a lot of times to context (which is very important) but you all many times fail to deal with what is actually stated in the text, which is just as bad as not dealing with the context of the text. A good example of this is Isaiah 9:6-7, where it is supposedly about Hezekiah. Your side will point out that the prophecy was given in the context of Hezekiah's birth, though this is no where explicitly stated in the text. I have pointed out that even if this prophecy was given during the time of Hezekiah's birth, Isaiah 9:6-7 can't be about Hezekiah because the individual will order and establish the Davidic Kingdom with justice and judgment from the time of his reign till eternity. Given that Hezekiah's son Manasseh was one of the most wicked kings of Judah per 2 kings 21, this prophecy can't be in referring to Hezekiah. It fits much better with the Davidic King spoken of in Isaiah 11. That is just one example of your side failing to actually deal with what is said in the text.
Indeed the Tanakh calls the Jewish people blind and other negative terms when it comes to their rejection of God and denial of observance of his laws. And I agree that if a person is unaware of this then he does not know his Tanakh at all, for it is an ongoing theme in the books of the prophets. And I understand that you were merely trying to show that the terms used in the Tanakh are akin to those in the nt, therefore protecting the nt from saying anything more offensive than the Tanakh does. But while we're on that subject, calling Israel blind because they reject jc is not something found in Tanakh, and therefore cannot be compared to the words of the Tanakh. Furthermore, the Tanakh is the word of God and the nt isn't. I guess you believe that the nt has the same sanctity as the Tanakh does, and I'm afraid I won't be able to convince you otherwise because it is assuredly a belief that is ingrained into your psyche. I have already brought it up to you how the nt is riddled with contradictions and mistranslation of the Tanakh, some of which I will address below based on the recent verses you quoted from Tanakh on this thread. I have as well demonstrated that contemporary historians are silent when it comes to jc, and all that we know about him is from the nt, which is unfortunately a sad source of information seeing that it constantly distorts the words of God in the Tanakh. So in that light, when the authors of the nt call Israel blind because they reject jc, that is a despicable thing and is coming from the mouths of those who unfortunately did not have a proper understanding of God's word in the Tanakh One example of the nt's distortion of the Bible is in the very verse you quoted from Romans 11: "And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob."" Now, it is clear that the nt is referring to Isaiah 59:20 here. I will quote below the english translation of this verse from CHRISTIAN Bibles: ""The Redeemer will come TO Zion, TO those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD." Isn't that funny? The church translates Isaiah 59:20 accurately (which unfortunately is all too often not the case) but Paul himself doesn't!?!?!? Let's talk about another verse you cited. Ah, the famous Zechariah 12: 10 referring to the one who "was pierced". So you're saying that it must be talking about jc's death at the crucifixion. Right? I mean, most christians believe this and they point to Zechariah 12:10 as one of their strongest proofs. The problem here is that the nt itself doesn't believe that! John 19: 34-37 refers to Zechariah 12:10 as a prophecy being fulfilled not at the crucifixion, but at the later moments when a roman soldier pierces jc's body with a sword. It has nothing to do over "the Jews piercing jc" (by the way, which the church itself has reclaimed its statement that "the Jews killed jesus") but about this incident of the soldiers piercing his body with a sword. Furthermore, the accurate translation of the verse is not "they will look upon HIM that they have pierced". Look up the proper translation of the word "elai (eh-lie)" throughout the Tanakh and you will see that it means "me". The correct reading of that verse is "they will look upon Me that they have pierced". Another unfortunate mistranslation by the non-believers. But you may ask: how does this make sense? How can we pierce God? And you'd be right, it does not make sense. And that's because the rest of the verse has been poorly translated as well. The church translates it as "the will look upon HIM that THEY have pierced" I have already address how the first part (HIM) is a mistake. But in reality the second part is false as well. If you knew Hebrew then this would be easy for you. I will try my best to clarify: The Hebrew words are as follows "וְהִבִּיטוּ אֵלַי אֵת אֲשֶׁר דָּקָרוּ ", transliterated as "v'hibitu elai ET asher dakaru" The word "v'hibitu" means "and they will gaze/look", the word "elai" means "upon Me" (as I already mentioned), the word "asher" means "that", and the word "dakaru" means "pierced/thrust" The tricky part about the word "dakaru" is that it's plural, but you don't know who the plural is focusing on: is it referring to the subject or the object, meaning: is it referring to a plural group of people that pierced someone, or is it referring to a plural group of people that were pierced. The only way to know which one it means is to study the sentence structure carefully: Now, if the verse would have only contained those 4 Hebrew words then when it says "pierced" it would mean "they will look upon me that they have pierced". The critical point is that the word "et" is introduced (which I capitalized), it is perhaps the most often used word in the entire Tanakh and does not have a real translation in English for it is a structural component of Hebrew sentencing that is used to mark the definite direct object of a transitive verb. Google search "what does the hebrew word et mean" and read a few of the links to get a bit of an understanding of what it means (if you are someone who studies Tanakh then it would be pretty important to get at least a superficial grasp of its original language!) Anyways, back to the story. The fact that the word "et" is inserted here opens the verse up to be referring to another object/subject. Instead of it meaning "they will look upon me that they have pierced", what it really means is "they will look upon Me regarding them who have been pierced". And what's brilliant is that the continuation of the verse highlights what's really going on. It then says "and they will mourn over the matter as they would mourn over a single individual". And that's exactly the point, the Jewish people will mourn over the millions of slaughtered Jews as if they were mourning over one single person, and that this agony would so great as if they would be mourning over their "firstborn son". The notion of mourning over one's firstborn son is a theme throughout Tanakh, and the easiest way for you to grasp is this is to recognize how the 10th plague upon Egypt during our Exodus was the murder of the Egyptian firstborn sons. The firstborn child always represents the highest and most valued child in the family and mourning over his/her loss is considered the most extreme sense of loss one can encounter. Furthermore, the Jewish people as an entity are clearly depicted as God's firstborn son as God makes clear, black and white, when He says: "And you (Moses) shall say to Pharaoh, 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." ' [Exodus: 4:22] But the most important point about Zechariah 12:10-14 is that you, and too many like you, have no shame in ignoring the first 9 verses of the chapter. Just read the whole chapter!!! It is impossible to reconcile it with having to do with jc! It is clearly referring to an event in the end of days when the Jewish people attain complete salvation and redemption from God, where all the nations are decimated. I already wrote a comment to you today on an earlier thread that Isaiah 52-53 is addressing this exact point, and it refers to the nations that boast over their conquest of Israel. So too does Zechariah share the same emotions where God says clearly "And the Lord shall first save the tents of Judah, so that the boasting of the house of David and the boasting of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not increase over Judah." [Zechariah 10:7] My friend, the concluding message of this comment is the same one as the one I wrote to you earlier. When you quote a verse in Tanakh, do yourself a favour and instead of zeroing in on that one verse or group of verses, take some time to read the entire chapter, or better yet the entire book or at least the surrounding chapters, and ask yourself: does my previous understanding of this verse or group of verses fit in with the rest of the chapter or book? I opened this comment with the topic of people being blind to God's word. You have the power to choose to not be one of them; His words are right there in front of you and all you need to do is read them Looking forward!
NZL+ As far as the NT use of the Tanakh, two factors need to be considered. One is that the common tongue during the time of the NT was Greek and the only translation of the Tanakh in Greek was the Septuagint. The Septuagint has readings that a are phrased differently then the Masoretic text which is the Hebrew text that both Christian and Jewish scholars use to translate the Bible. When Paul or any other NT author quotes the Bible, they always quote from the Septuagint. The Septuagint renders the phrase in question "for the sake of Zion" rather then "To Zion". Another thing, is that it was common place within 1st century Judaism to paraphrase texts. A good example of that are the Targums. Paul was just doing what was typical of Rabbis of the 1st century, he was paraphrasing Isaiah 59:20. Why did he paraphrase it "the deliver will come out of Zion" as opposed to " to Zion"? He probably did so, because of verses like Isaiah 2:3 where it states that in the end times "out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." If one compares this paraphrase to some of the paraphrases in the Targums, one would find it extremely nit picky to condemn Paul for paraphrasing the verse like he has. As to Zechariah 12:10, you are correct, it is linguistically possible to render the verse as "they will look upon Me regarding them who have been pierced" but is it a linguistically probable rendering? When faced with a linguistically difficult passage, I tend first of all to look at the earliest manuscripts of the passage in question. The earliest we have is probably the rendering we have in the Septuagint. It is rendered like this "and I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and compassion: and they shall look upon me, because they have mocked me, and they shall make lamentation for him, as for a beloved friend, and they shall grieve intensely, as for a firstborn son." The next oldest rendering we probably possess of this verse is a targum of this verse. This is how the targum renders it "And I shall cause to rest upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of prophecy and true prayer. And afterward the Messiah son of Ephraim will go out to do battle with Gog, and Gog will slay him in front of the gate of Jerusalem. And they shall look to me and shall inquire of me why the nations pierced the Messiah son of Ephraim." Lastly there is the Talmud's rendering and discussion of the verse in Sukkah 52a "It is well with him who explains that the cause is the slaying of Messiah the son of Joseph, since that well agrees with the Scriptural verse, And they shall look upon me because they have thrust him through, and they shall mourn for him as one mourneth for his only son; but according to him who explains the cause to be the slaying of the Evil Inclination, is this an occasion for mourning? Is it not rather an occasion for rejoicing? Why then should they weep?" So, the earliest renderings and commentary we have on this passage, go very much against the idea of a rendering of "regarding them who have been pierced". In fact, a Messianic interpretation is actually favored among some of these older renderings. The word alayw in verse 10 from my understanding means over him. If one simply takes the word at face value and not insert a hidden meaning into that word. It is clear the one who has being mourned over in the text is an individual. While I can appreciate and understand the argument that Jew's raise about the suffering servant being Israel, because Israel is said to be G-d's servant, I don't see any justification in this text or even the surrounding passages to believe that the individual who is thrust through is in reality a representation of the Jewish lives that have been lost during this prophesied troubled time, or any other time. Indeed, from what I have researched (and maybe I need to do more research) the Hebrew verbs are all third person plural in the verse and the subject of the verbs is the house of David and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Meaning, it is the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem who have done the piercing. So, unless this is referring to a Jewish civil war, I don't see any reason to believe that the individual is a representation of the Jewish lives that have been lost. You did raise the issue that the Jews did not pierce Jesus, but it was the Roman's did. Of course, it was the Jewish leaders who were nagging the Romans to crucify Jesus, since the Jewish leaders had no civil authority to carry out capitol punishment during this time. So, it is the Jewish leaders and the Jewish multitude who cried out for his execution that is a major cause for his being pierced. When John said " They shall look on him whom they have pierced" he was modernizing the text such as was a common practice among Jews of the first century. Ihave talked about this concept before in other threads. Now we get to the word et. The Christian translations have et in this passage rendered as "whom" and some translate et as "the one". So it is translated "They will look on me whom they have pierced" or" They will look on me the one they have pierced". If we look at the Septuagint, they have mocked instead of thrust through and it is G-d that has been mocked. Why did the translators translate it as mocked? There is no justification in the Hebrew for that rendering. It is because people can mock G-d, but it is seemingly impossible to pierce G-d. The translators were obviously trying to get this passage to get things to make sense for the readers, so they replaced pierced with mocked. This is evidence that linguistically G-d is the one who is pierced in the passage. How is this possible? WIth the Christian doctrine of the incarnation of G-d among his creation as the man Christ Jesus, it makes sense. If one doesn't believe it is possible for G-d to take on human flesh that is capable of being pierced then another interpretation and rendering is going to have be worked into the text. You make the charge that I am ignoring the first 9 verses of the chapter, are you prepared to say the same thing about the Talmudic interpretation of this verse? My view and the Talmudic interpretation both see the individual being pierced as a messianic figure. You reject such a view and see those that hold to such a view as ignoring the context. So I ask, in your view is the Talmudic interpretation ignoring the context? I again reiterate my position, we must both look at the context and zero in on what the selected text says. If we fail to do either one, we are going to be prone to misunderstanding and misinterpretation.
+Josh May Your main problem here is the septuagint. Claiming that the gospels used it when making their comments in the nt only makes matters worse for you. First off, the original septuagint (which was indeed a Jewish translation) was a translation only of the Pentateuch, and did not address the books of the prophets, as is evidenced by the famous letter of Aristeas. Furthermore, even the translation of the Pentateuch is no longer a Jewish translation. In the 3rd and 4th century CE, the septuagint wad re-edited and perverted by christians like Origin and Lucian, who injected within our holy scripture the ulterior motives of the church and missionaries. The very fact that non-Jewish literature is now included in the septuagint, such as the apocrypha, only highlights this further. It is not a Jewish book. Sorry, but that's not gonna work Regarding your point of how Rabbis of the 1st century "paraphrased" sentences in the Bible. It's an entirely different story when the "paraphrasing" is used to manipulate and contradict the actual doctrine of the Pentateuch Indeed, there are early renderings of Zechariah 12 (and no I am not grouping the septuagint in these renderings, as I highlighted above) that see the verse as referring to the messiah. Perhaps the most classic commentary on the Torah, Rashi (Rabbi Shlomo Yitzhaki) offers this explanation. So I'm not trying to hide it from you. You are still stuck with the point that the verse would have nothing to do with the rest of the chapter. The beginning verses are clearly talking about a time that was not that of jc. Talk about lack of flow! And trying to say that the verse is referring to a time in the future when we will look back to thousands of years ago when jc was crucified is just too far-fetched. If the messiah is killed as the verse intimates, it is referring to his death at the actual time that the chapter is relating to: in future messianic times. A core belief of Judaism is that a verse can mean different things to different sages, provided of course that it is not something that strays outside of Judaism (cough, cough). Unfortunately, non-Jews use this philosophy to say "well then, I can view the verse as I please as well" and offer explanation that ignore the rest of the Torah and its core principles! You see the difference? Indeed, there are those commentaries who point to the death of Mashiach ben Yosef. It is an ancient Jewish tradition that in the end of days there will in fact be two messiahs, one from Yosef (Joseph) and one from David, and that Mashiach ben Yosef will die in battle during the end times of the messianic era. And because that chapter is talking about the future messianic era, this interpretation remains faithful to the text. But when non-Jewish paraphrasing attempts to paint this "pierced" figure as someone who existed thousands of years ago, thereby going not only outside of context but outside of the Jewish and Biblical value system, those arguments are untenable. So to answer your question: no, the talmud is not ignoring the context. You, on the other hand.. well i'll let you make that decision for yourself When you say "The word alayw in verse 10 from my understanding means over him", I'm sorry but you are just doing what the church was doing; making translations according to the way they felt like it, in order to manipulate the text to fit their ideology. Do yourself a favour and search the word "eilai" throughout scripture and see how they translate it. I will give you some examples here to save you some time: Genesis 4:10, 18:21, 24:30 Exodus 3:9, 3:16, 6:12 Numbers 11:12, 22:8, 22:10 Deuteronomy 1:17, 1:22, 1:41 Those are some of the earliest times and there are just too many too count! But since we're discussing Zechariah, look up 11:15, 11:13, 8:18. Those are the previous three times the word is used before 12:10. Go look how the church translates the word "elai" as "me" in all those instances and then tell me WHY DO THEY CHANGE THEIR MIND WHEN IT COMES TO ZECHARIAH 12:10???? Your later point about the word "pierced" being replaced with "mocked" is again a moot point, because you are referring to the septuagint. Cheers!
There can never be any question as to whether the Messiah was ever on Earth and no question as to who the Messiah is when he arrives on Earth. There will be signs that cannot be denied when the Messiah arrives. Because In that day no one will need to look in any book, neither a 'New Testament,' nor even the Hebrew Scriptures, to tell them what is Right and what is Wrong. They will know it instinctively because it will be in their hearts, truly making G-d their G-d, and in turn, truly making them G-d's People. Certainly this has not happened yet, and so this passage in Jeremiah 31:31-32 cannot be referring to the New Testament. The scripture that reveals the truth is in Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah and many more books of the Tanakh. Let us take a look at Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah - Chapter 31 30 Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant. 31 Not like the covenant that I formed with their forefathers on the day I took them by the hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, that they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, says the Lord. Notice that the verse starts out with “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord” This is considered a prophecy because of the first words of the verse, “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord.” However, immediately before these few verses that begin with verse 30, there are additional verses that also begin the exact same way, with the words, “Behold, days are coming, says the Lord.” The whole prophecy actually begins with verse 26. As you will read, when one looks at the whole prophecy of Jeremiah 31:26-34, this passage could not be referring to a Messiah that has already been on Earth and left without completing his mission. Here is the whole passage: Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah - Chapter 31 26 Behold days are coming, says the Lord, and I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with seed of man and seed of beasts. 27 And it shall be, as I have watched over them to uproot and to break down, to demolish and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord. 28 In those days, they shall no longer say, "Fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the teeth of the children shall be set on edge." 29 But each man shall die for his iniquity; whoever eats the unripe grapes- his teeth shall be set on edge 30 Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant. 31 Not like the covenant that I formed with their forefathers on the day I took them by the hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, that they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, says the Lord. 32 For this is the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will place My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be My people 33 And no longer shall one teach his neighbor or [shall] one [teach] his brother, saying, "Know the Lord," for they shall all know Me from their smallest to their greatest, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember 34 So said the Lord, Who gives the sun to illuminate by day, the laws of the moon and the stars to illuminate at night, Who stirs up the sea and its waves roar, the Lord of Hosts is His name. These verses are, indeed, speaking of the Messianic age, however, they are not speaking of a messiah that has come and gone without completing his mission. Verse 26 speaks of a time when the House of Israel is reunited with the House of Judah, and when they increase in size as well as in resources. 26 Behold days are coming, says the Lord, and I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with seed of man and seed of beasts. [Jeremiah 31:26] Then G-d states that just as He watched over the Jews when He saw fit to punish them, so, too, will He continue to watch over the Jews as everything gets better: 27 And it shall be, as I have watched over them to uproot and to break down, to demolish and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord [Jeremiah 31:28] We will know that messiah has arrived when the House of Judah and the House of Israel has reunited. And there are more signs, as we shall see. The next verses actually deny that any messiah can die for our sins: [Jeremiah 31:28-29] 28 In those days, they shall no longer say, "Fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the teeth of the children shall be set on edge." 29 But each man shall die for his iniquity; whoever eats the unripe grapes- his teeth shall be set on edge Verses 28-29 above are saying that in this future time, no one will continue to believe that one person can die and thereby take away the guilt for another person's sins. Jeremiah is saying that when those days come, all will recognize, as the Bible has said repeatedly (See Exodus 32:30-35; Deuteronomy 24:16; and Ezekiel 18:1-4) that the person who sins will always be the only one who gets the punishment for that sin. This is what it states quite simply in Deuteronomy 24:16, No man shall be put to death for the sins of his children, no child will be put to death for the sins of his father. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
Hi Linda & N... I realise that I'm going to have to make myself clear here. (Sorry... it's probably my fault for phrasing this comment in this way.) There are 2 parts to my comment. The first: "I wasn't aware that this chapter was forbidden..." Was meant to have a question mark after it, because I didn't at all believe that this was the case as regards the written scripture. I also agree with you, Linda, "it is true a lot of Jews AND Gentiles" (mostly Gentiles I would say) have not read Isaiah 51, 52, etc... My words "very disturbing" are related to this very fact and the fact that, even when they do read scripture, they overlook the relevance of it. The words "very disturbing" are meant to convey my overview of the fact that people have not seen the very great significance of this Chapter for themselves. This is what I find "very disturbing." I also find it a sad fact that not many people have ever read the Bible through. This is my guide for daily life and I've read it many many times over the years and date it each time I finish. But really it's not about how many times "we've been through the Bible" - it's about "how many times the Bible has "been through us."
Elizabeth, I commend you for reading the Bible through so many times. I too have read it through many times, including the New Testament and have engaged in a lot of study. As you probably know, the original Tanakh was written in Hebrew. Although I said many Jews have not read all of Isaiah, I will add that most Jews have read all of Torah. From an early age, Jewish children begin learning Hebrew for their Bar and Bat Mitzvah at age 13. They will be required to read from the Torah on this day. In fact, today a young man of age 13 was Bar Mitzvah'd in my Synagogue. He not only read his Torah portion in Hebrew fluently but he also read all of the Haftarah in Hebrew without skipping a beat then went on to daven the entire Torah service. However, these chapters in Isaiah are not included in the Haftarah readings. It's not an intentional omission, they just aren't relevant to the Parsha. In Israel, the very devout Orthodox spend their entire day studying all of the Tanakh and discussing every word, debating, arguing even, referring to what the ancient Rabbi's said and studying again. We can spend hours and hours discussing and studying Torah in it's original language. So Isaiah 53 has been well studied among the Torah scholars and Rabbi's. There is actually a little more emphasis on studying it now because so many Christians are using it to convert our people. All that said, there are still many who don't know beans about it so it's no wonder that if you walk up to a Jew who never studied it and said " did you know there's a hidden chapter in the Bible?", they'd be surprised. Really? That's a leading question and maybe they think they're going to be shown something they never saw before but surprise, we've seen this! They're kinda being tricked here, don't you think? So for those of us who have read all of Isaiah, we know to read it in context and not to take out a single chapter and ignore the context of the rest. The original manuscripts didn't have chapter breaks so the logical beginning of this chapter starts halfway through Isaiah 52 in verse 13. Throughout the book of Isaiah, the Servant is identified as Israel so I don't know why it should seem a great mystery who the Servant is by the time you get to chapter 53. I will say that probably the Christians who came up with this interpretation of Isaiah 53 don't know that the Servant has already been identified in preceding chapters. I can point you to a great online audio teaching by a Rabbi about this if you really want to learn this chapter. After all, who better qualified to teach the Jewish Bible than a Jew?
Those who 'bought and sold in the Temple' were there because of G-d's command. In Deuteronomy 14:24-26, G-d told the Jews to sell the animal they wanted to sacrifice for money, take the money to Jerusalem, and then after changing the money to the local currency, to buy the same type of animal and sacrifice it. Therefore the money changers and sellers of sacrificial animals were supposed to be there, as commanded by G-d: And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Etrnl thy G-d shall choose to set his name there, when the Etrnl thy G-d hath blessed thee: 25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Etrnl thy G-d shall choose: 26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Etrnl thy G-d, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household. [Deuteronomy 14:24-26] There are other places in the New Testament that describe Jesus's violence. Here are a few more examples. In Mark 11:12, Jesus condemns an innocent fruit tree to death because it did not have any figs on it for Jesus to eat, even though it was not even the fruit season: And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. [Mark 11:12-14; 20-21] Jesus states in the following that those who won't accept him should be slain. In almost all Christian interpretations of the parable in which the following verse is found, Jesus is understood to have been the ruler who speaks: But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. [Luke 19:27] Perhaps the verse above from Luke 19 has been the Christian justification for the slaying of so many Jews throughout the centuries, simply because we still reject Jesus. And in Luke 22:36, Jesus tells his disciples to go and buy swords. So we see that here again, Jesus, a violent man, could not have been the peace-loving servant who did 'no violence,' as described in Isaiah 53. Finally, there is one verse in the Isaiah passage which describes the servant as living a long life and having children: Yeshayahu- Isaiah - Chapter 53 10 And the Lord wished to crush him, He made him ill; if his soul makes itself restitution, he shall see children, he shall prolong his days, and God's purpose shall prosper in his hand. But quite obviously, Jesus was never married and had no children. He also died in his thirties, at a young age. Christians may respond by saying that Isaiah meant Jesus' disciples by the word, 'offspring,' or that the Christians themselves are like his children, but the word in the Hebrew is 'zerah,' which means seed, and can only refer to one's blood-line descendants, his children. One can see this clearly in the following passage from Genesis 15:2-4. Abram is afraid that he has no biological heirs, the only one to inherit him is his servant, Eliezer, whom Abram calls his 'ben,' his son. However, G-d tells him that it will not be his ben, his son, to inherit from him, but rather his seed, his 'zerah..' And Abram said, 'Etrnl G-d what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the son (ben) of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?' Then Abram said, 'see to me you have given no seed (zerah = biological child), and see the son ('ben') of my house is my heir.' Suddenly the word of G-d came to him, saying, 'that one will not inherit you. None but him that shall come forth from within your bowels shall be your heir.' [Genesis 15:2-4] So again we see that Jesus did not fulfill the description of the servant in Isaiah 53 because he had no seed, which means no children, no offspring. For the sake of argument, let us assume that Isaiah was making a prophecy of his future, rather than interpreting his past as the past-tenses of his speech indicate. In that case, Isaiah 53 could be applied not only to the People of Israel in the days of Isaiah, but also throughout history. Try re-reading the Isaiah passage, but think of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, the pogroms, the Inquisition, the Crusades, or other Christian persecutions of Jews, as you read it. Ask yourself, what violence did these Jews do to deserve the fate they endured at the hands of Christians? Jesus did not fulfill this 'prophecy' of Isaiah 53, nor did he fulfill any of the real and important prophecies concerning the true Messiah.
This is an actually Verse from the book of Isaiah “He is despised and rejected of men: a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Isaiah 53:3 if you think this is not from the Book of Isaiah kindly read it it’s in Chapter 53 :) have a great Day and God bless always.

Not to quibble, but where is it written that the sacrifices will cease? The last chapter of Zechariah seems to say the opposite if I'm reading it correctly.
It doesn't say it anywhere. And there are many more examples like the one you cited. It's a lie, along with the rest of the garbage that this video stinks of

If you agree that "it's not actually forbidden" then doesn't it make you wonder what else the missionaries in the above video are lying about?

I don't know why, but whenever I hear Isaiah 53 read in the ancient Hebrew, I cry like a baby...

And the LORD said, "I am going to fill you full of my glory." I replied, "Yes, LORD!"
A FEW DAYS LATER, as I walked into my pastor's home, we barely began a conversation, when the pastor said, "You have it bad, don't you?" So I asked what he meant by that, and he said, "You have the demon of lust upon you.

I'm sorry.

Wow very clever approach :)
Isaiah 43:11 I, only I, AM HASHEM and there is no deliverer aside from ME!
Which is correct, Jesus is God Himself, who came to save and deliver us. God Himself coming to save us. No other Messiah, but God and God Himself, right?
namelessmw then why do you worship his human figure?? You are not praying to God but to a human, this is your idol.

When was Israel, the nation, cut off out of the land of the living (Isaiah 53:8)?

But you have to have eyes to see and ears to hear before God's word can do you any good. And it's Jesus who give eyes to see and ears to hear. So we can see where that leaves you.
Your words are empty. If you want to speak for God; quote His word. God has spoken for Himself. He doesn't need your help.

"Every knee WILL bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!"

It was so cool to see everything click in their heads towards the end, makes me very happy

Great video! Never ending grace and mercy and atonement for our sins, blessed be His Name!
I don't see how that translation disqualifies Jesus in any way, or makes the case for Israel being the servant any stronger.
A very powerful video! My Jewish friend is beginning to be enlightened and I will use this video to help him more.
+Takashi Bodhi - Beautiful! I pray your friend will find his Savior and Messiah who has been prophesied throughout all Scripture. Jesus is the perfect Passover Lamb of God, whose sinless blood conquered sin, death, and Hell. And through faith, His powerful spotless blood is placed over the doorpost of our hearts,
freeing us from spiritual death and translating us into Eternal Life!
As far as eating the Passover Lamb, here's what Jesus did the night before His death:
"Jesus had taken some bread and after giving thanks, He broke it and gave it to the apostles, saying, *“This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”* And in the same way Jesus took the cup and when he had given thanks, he gave to them: and they all drank of it. And He said unto them, *"This is My Blood of the covenant, which is shed for many."*
So yes, Jesus is the final perfect Passover Lamb who defeated sin, death, the grave and Hell.
(Jesus)
Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
Quoting from a book of fiction proves nothingg
I somehow keep returning to this video for its beauty.
Same.
This just had me crying like a baby 😭
Yes the glory we just saw HIS people coming home!!
But did it change anything? That is the real question 🤔
Hi,
Would you please provide a source or evidence for where you get that Isaiah 53 is considered the Forbidden Chapter by the Jewish Community or Rabbi's?
@Sioux Zen it’s actually chapter 52 in this website
Isaiah 42:8 I AM HASHEM, that is MY NAME, I will not give MY glory to another, nor MY praise to graven idols!
Awesome video!
beautiful video. Thank you. Te Messiah lives and He will be coming back :-)
+Patricia Hurt That implies that you think that one has already been here. Nothing about that in G-d's word.
+héctor ortega
Ah, Zechariah chapter 12.
I Love this
Yes there are a lot of books that the sages of blessed memory knew were not good enough to be included into the Tenach because they contradicted the Torah and were false doctrine and did not promote the love of HASHEM for the Jewish people.
Adella Adams The christian book where totally rejected!
Adella Adams
And so they should be Adella !
Yes because they contradicted the word of G-D and all the ETERNAL DECREES!
keep your good work, May Adonai bless you
Be blessed !!!! I am a Christian, a 7th Day adventist (SDA Church). And I recognize my sin in front of Isaiah 53.
Moreover, if your Jesus is the "servant", then was Jesus "blind" and "deaf", for Isaiah 42:19 says:
"Who is BLIND but my servant and DEAF like the messenger I send".
Furthermore Isaiah 53:12 says (NIV):
"Therefore I will give him a portion among the great.and he will divide the spoils with the strong...." So if the servant is Jesus, then he is JUST ONE MAN among many "great" and "strong" men.
Excellent , Can I post this on facebook?
now imagine this young missionary guy, doing the same thing in an islamic country - he would be executed...
+Eitan Arbel - HAHAHAHAHA!!! He would not even be allowed to open his mouth!
+Lynne Marton why are you laughing?
+Eitan Arbel Why? Jesus is the Messiah in Islam too.
This Guy Excuse me, what?
+JoojieXD You know what I said.
I am very blessed my Lord open my heart and my mind to see to know That JESUS CHRIST IS SON OF GOD. HE IS THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Excelent...please, i need translate this video to portuguese.
YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE! Are lies in Portuguese any more truthful than lies in English?
John Steinson ... Mattityahu 5:17-19
YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE! LOL
YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE! why waste your time with that bogus trash?
+John Steinson Ull bow ur knees before the king of kings he is alive he is my savior and he will rule this world hallelujah. Repent and stop to harden your heart, gods plan was bringing salvation to all the world , from beginning he choosen the poeple of isreal his holy nation to fullfill this plan , but u rejected ur own messiah , but still today you heart are harden, may god open you the eyes and let you repent from your sins , god bless you
wow, this young man do know what is his calling for, G-D is shaking the ground.
Wonderful video
Try learning Hebrew and read the text for yourself and you will see how the priests have lied to you
+RichardGMoss God wants a repentant heart Richard, your pride will never save you. The Messiah took our place, and bore our sins with His Blood. And rose again on the Third day. And is seated on The Right Hand of God.
Isaiah 6:5
Then I said, Woe is me! For I am undone;
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen The King, The Lord of Hosts.
+herbielina G-d does not require human sacrifice, your ignorance of His plan has lead you in the wrong direction. Nowhere does He call for human sacrifice as expiation for sins.
+RichardGMoss
Then Isaac spoke to his father Abraham and said, "My father." And he replied, "Here I am, my son." Isaac said, "The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
Abraham answered, "God Himself will provide the lamb.
Isaiah 53 Old Testament
53 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression[a] and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.[b]
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes[c] his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life[d] and be satisfied[e];
by his knowledge[f] my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,[g]
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,[h]
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Ask God.

John 10 (Yeshua said He is GOD)

Isaiah 9 - written: 712 BC (Before Christ)
6. For unto us a CHILD is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.
...prophet Isaiah is very clear: Elohim (God) will come in our world as human.

Zechariah 12 - (year 500 B.C.)
1. The burden of the word of the YHWH for Israel, saith the YHWH, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
...
9. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I WILL SEEK TO DESTROY ALL the NATIONS THAT COME AGAINST Jerusalem.
10. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall LOOK upon ME whom they have PIERCED, and they shall mourn for HIM, as one mourneth for his only SON, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Who is YHWH PIERCED by the inhabitants of Jerusalem?
VERY CLEAR: YESHUA is YHWH in human flesh!... GOD Creator of all things!
...prophets long time before YESHUA said that YHWH will take human flesh to save all those who believe in Him, and also YESHUA confirmed that He is YHWH.

John 8 (YESHUA said He is YHWH GOD of Abraham)
56. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57. Then said the Jews unto Him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast Thou seen Abraham?
58. YESHUA said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, BEFORE Abraham was,
I AM.
59. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but YESHUA hid Himself, and went out of the Temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
I AM = YHWH
...because of this the Jews become angry, YESHUA said that He is YHWH Elohim the same who spoke with Mosest the same who saved Israel from Egypt. PERFECT CLEAR from old to the new testament....YESHUA is YHWH Elohim Creator of all things!... HE PROVED that with power over death, over nature, over kingdom of Satan...etc.

herbielina, wrong, wrong, wrong, it is not virgin, but young woman. This was mistranslated by the church. The same word in Hebrew is translated as young woman in every other instance in the Christian bible. The sign was given to the king that Isaiah was talking to and fulfilled. Most honest Christian scholars agree that this is not a prophecy of JC.

Shalom! When it will be in Polish leanguage (translate)??
I always speak of Isaiah 53 when talking to Jews. They say it's Israel. But we know it's a person, Yeshua. I love this! Blessings to you guys for doing this in Yeshua s name!!! Just a side note, you may already do this, but these people being witnessed to need to know it's not the catholic jesus. They need to be told that that is a pagan worship, totally different from judeo christianity.
I was hoping to see at least one of them accept their Messiah.
he planted the seed in their hearts, now let the Holy Spirit work

I think it is talking about the need to evolve for human beings.
The need to re-access, reform and adopt to the present times.
It does not mean violating or even changing past teachings.
It is just making it better and more understanding.
Like an enlightened society.
Enlightenment and evolution is a timely thing.
Amazing, just amazing confrontation with the truth.

Marius Sørenes Israel is the suffering servant. No jesus.
Israel didnt take upon itself the sufferings of the people of Israel? Nor did the people of Israel reject Israel?
You are so mixed up. Who is doing the talking in 53? It is the nations talking about Israel the suffering servant. The paragraph starts at 52:13. and if you understood Hebrew you would have a better understanding of why the Jews know the the suffering servant is Israel! Verse 15 So the many nations will exclaim about him.
Marius Sørenes it wasnt jesus it was yahshua
really, Israel rejected itself and died innocent for it's sins to make intercession for us? that is modern interpretation..because obviously it is my best personal friend our Messiah...Isaiah 52:13-16 says the Messiah will first sprinkle all nations and kings will bow to Him then He will return to reign...
A text without a context is just a pretext. It's not hidden it's known to most Jews, who can read it in context and know exactly to what it refers and it's not Yoshkeh

I love all of the young Jewish men in Jesus Christ and I pray for thier salvation.may the holy Spirit open thier eyes and hearts to Isaiah 53.
yes my parents were.not christians but when i cried out to Jesus for help i was saved i saw vision of the perfect Lamb that was saved yes it is him it is him!
+Philip Booth
Hey Philip.
+Philip Booth
?
+Philip Booth
The arrow analogy was never meant to support my side. It was brought in order to show how the above video (and the general method it follows) is flawed.
Those references I sent you are what matter more. They provide the information that support how my side's arrow was indeed shot after the target was painted
Richard, Yeshua loves you, and you will do personal business with Him, sooner or later...

Beginning with chapter 41, the equating of God’s Servant with the nation of Israel is made nine times by the prophet Isaiah, and no one other than Israel is identified as the “servant”:
“You are My servant, O Israel” (41:8)
“You are My servant, Israel” (49:3)
see also Isaiah 44:1, 44:2, 44:21, 45:4, 48:20
The Bible is filled with other references to the Jewish people as God’s “servant”; see Jeremiah 30:10, 46:27-28; Psalms 136:22. There is no reason that the “servant” in Isaiah 53 would suddenly switch and refer to someone other than the Jewish people.
John Steinson Isaiah 53 "not openly identified"...really? LOL!!
"But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM,
And by HIS stripes we are healed.
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And The Lord has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all!"
You really are smashing that square peg in a round hole, if you think THAT is Israel. Lets hear your translation of PSALM 2 ?
herbielina Exodus 4:22-23 Notice how Israel is "son" singular. Also referred to as "he" and "him" singular.
Exodus 4:22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." '
Exodus 4:23 So I say to you, 'Send out My son so that he will worship Me, but if you refuse to send him out, behold, I am going
to slay your firstborn son.' "
The Bible is filled with other references to the Jewish people as God’s “servant”; see Jeremiah 30:10, 46:27-28; Psalms 136:22. There is no reason that the “servant” in Isaiah 53 would suddenly switch and refer to someone other than the Jewish people.
herbielina
Isaiah 53:5 "But he was pained because of our transgressions, crushed because of our
iniquities; the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his
wound we were healed.
Fulfilling the Prophecy Micah 5:2
"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting. "
herbielina Isaiah 53 speaks of the Messianic age, not of the messiah himself.
Blood wasn't always needed. Lev 5:11 "But if he cannot afford two turtle doves or two young doves, then he shall bring as his sacrifice for his sin one tenth of an ephah of fine flour
for a sin offering. He shall not put oil over it, nor shall he place frankincense upon it, for it is a sin offering."
God has always rejected human blood sacrifices.
This made me cry. It was just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Barbara Shegitz Yes! You are so right.
Barbara Shegitz I'm guessing they were all actors.

+Cape Town Bnei Noach Community They do worship the God of Israel?
worshipping the god of israel means believing in the one who he sent-namely jesus the christ. read your scriptures there are literally 100s of prophecies concerning the Messiah and all were fullfilled and will be fulfilles by Jesus (Yeshua)
All the so-called "JC prophesies'' are read into and not from the verses. And are ALL out of context. There is not even one unambiguous verse is the Tanach to prove his messiahship.
Born in Bethlehem of a virgin? No?
Brilliant 🙏🙏
Thank you
Sometimes I cry and ask the Lord why do your chosen people hate your Son Lord? Why do they reject him? It is sad to think that God’s chosen people hate Yashua...
Then stop crying and rejoice because it is not jesus that we Jews hate. It is the evil which is represented by the belief that jesus is the Messiah which we hate.
Beautiful
Actually it's not hidden, but it's not allowed to read and no commentator dares to discuss this chapter for fear that the rejected messiah is the true messiah they're waiting for so long since ancient days. Thanks for this wonderful video. Very clear and real. Toda' rava'

Where did you get such an idea that chapter 53 is "not allowed to be read"?

Please correct me if I'm wrong:
Are you saying that your source for Isaiah 53 being forbidden to Jews is this article? I surely hope not, that would be quite sad
You sounded as if you were certain of what you were talking about when you said "it's not hidden, but it's not allowed to read and no commentator dares to discuss this chapter"
Where did you get that idea from? It must have come from somewhere, no?

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. [47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Oh that's simple to answer: When one truly "believes" in "Moses and his writings", and actually studies all of Tanach (what you call the "old" testament) properly, they will recognize that "he wrote of me" is non-existent.

Isaiah 6:9 And He said: 'Go, and tell this people: Hear ye indeed, but understand not; And see ye indeed, but perceive not.10 Make the heart of this people fat, And make their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they, seeing with their eyes, And hearing with their ears, And understanding with their heart, Return, and be healed.11 Then said I: 'Lord, how long?' And He answered: 'Until cities be waste without inhabitant, And houses without man, And the land become utterly waste,
Compare this with what Paul says in Romans 11. Romans 11:25 I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob."
This is not antisemitic rhetoric, actually far from it.
So in that light, when the authors of the nt call Israel blind because they reject jc, that is a despicable thing and is coming from the mouths of those who unfortunately did not have a proper understanding of God's word in the Tanakh
One example of the nt's distortion of the Bible is in the very verse you quoted from Romans 11: "And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion; he will remove ungodliness from Jacob.""
Now, it is clear that the nt is referring to Isaiah 59:20 here. I will quote below the english translation of this verse from CHRISTIAN Bibles:
""The Redeemer will come TO Zion, TO those in Jacob who repent of their sins," declares the LORD."
Isn't that funny?
I will try my best to clarify:
The Hebrew words are as follows "וְהִבִּיטוּ אֵלַי אֵת אֲשֶׁר דָּקָרוּ ", transliterated as "v'hibitu elai ET asher dakaru"
The word "v'hibitu" means "and they will gaze/look", the word "elai" means "upon Me" (as I already mentioned), the word "asher" means "that", and the word "dakaru" means "pierced/thrust"
The tricky part about the word "dakaru" is that it's plural, but you don't know who the plural is focusing on: is it referring to the subject or the object, meaning: is it referring to a plural group of people that pierced someone, or is it referring to a plural group of people that were pierced. The only way to know which one it means is to study the sentence structure carefully:
Now, if the verse would have only contained those 4 Hebrew words then when it says "pierced" it would mean "they will look upon me that they have pierced". The critical point is that the word "et" is introduced (which I capitalized), it is perhaps the most often used word in the entire Tanakh and does not have a real translation in English for it is a structural component of Hebrew sentencing that is used to mark the definite direct object of a transitive verb. Google search "what does the hebrew word et mean" and read a few of the links to get a bit of an understanding of what it means (if you are someone who studies Tanakh then it would be pretty important to get at least a superficial grasp of its original language!)
Anyways, back to the story.
Furthermore, the Jewish people as an entity are clearly depicted as God's firstborn son as God makes clear, black and white, when He says: "And you (Moses) shall say to Pharaoh, 'So said the Lord, "My firstborn son is Israel." ' [Exodus: 4:22]
But the most important point about Zechariah 12:10-14 is that you, and too many like you, have no shame in ignoring the first 9 verses of the chapter.
So too does Zechariah share the same emotions where God says clearly "And the Lord shall first save the tents of Judah, so that the boasting of the house of David and the boasting of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not increase over Judah." [Zechariah 10:7]
My friend, the concluding message of this comment is the same one as the one I wrote to you earlier.
You have the power to choose to not be one of them; His words are right there in front of you and all you need to do is read them
Looking forward!

As far as the NT use of the Tanakh, two factors need to be considered.
It is rendered like this "and I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and compassion: and they shall look upon
me, because they have mocked me, and they shall make lamentation for him, as for a beloved friend, and they shall grieve intensely, as for a firstborn son." The next oldest rendering we probably possess of this verse is a targum of this verse. Why then should they weep?"
So, the earliest renderings and commentary we have on this passage, go very much against the idea of a rendering of "regarding them who have been pierced".

Your main problem here is the septuagint.
Sorry, but that's not gonna work
Regarding your point of how Rabbis of the 1st century "paraphrased" sentences in the Bible. It's an entirely different story when the "paraphrasing" is used to manipulate and contradict the actual doctrine of the Pentateuch
Indeed, there are early renderings of Zechariah 12 (and no I am not grouping the septuagint in these renderings, as I highlighted above) that see the verse as referring to the messiah.
You, on the other hand.. well i'll let you make that decision for yourself
When you say "The word alayw in verse 10 from my understanding means over him", I'm sorry but you are just doing what the church was doing; making translations according to the way they felt like it, in order to manipulate the text to fit their ideology. Do yourself a favour and search the word "eilai" throughout scripture and see how they translate it. I will give you some examples here to save you some time:
Genesis 4:10, 18:21, 24:30
Exodus 3:9, 3:16, 6:12
Numbers 11:12, 22:8, 22:10
Deuteronomy 1:17, 1:22, 1:41
Those are some of the earliest times and there are just too many too count!
Cheers!
The worst part is All these people who wrote about the Christian deity NEVER even Knew him! Lol....that's real screwed up! There is ONLY ONE CREATOR!
Yeah and its Jesus Christ.
Let us take a look at
Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah - Chapter 31
30 Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant.
Here is the whole passage:
Yirmiyahu - Jeremiah - Chapter 31
26 Behold days are coming, says the Lord, and I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with seed of man and seed of beasts.
27 And it shall be, as I have watched over them to uproot and to break down, to demolish and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord.
28 In those days, they shall no longer say, "Fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the teeth of the children shall be set on edge."
29 But each man shall die for his iniquity; whoever eats the unripe grapes- his teeth shall be set on edge
30 Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant.
31 Not like the covenant that I formed with their forefathers on the day I took them by the hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, that they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, says the Lord.
32 For this is the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will place My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be My people
33 And no longer shall one teach his neighbor or [shall] one [teach] his brother, saying, "Know the Lord," for they shall all know Me from their smallest to their greatest, says the Lord, for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember
34 So said the Lord, Who gives the sun to illuminate by day, the laws of the moon and the stars to illuminate at night, Who stirs up the sea and its waves roar, the Lord of Hosts is His name.
[Jeremiah 31:26]
Then G-d states that just as He watched over the Jews when He saw fit to punish them, so, too, will He continue to watch over the Jews as everything gets better:
27 And it shall be, as I have watched over them to uproot and to break down, to demolish and to destroy and to afflict, so will I watch over them to build and to plant, says the Lord [Jeremiah 31:28]
We will know that messiah has arrived when the House of Judah and the House of Israel has reunited. And there are more signs, as we shall see.
The next verses actually deny that any messiah can die for our sins:
[Jeremiah 31:28-29]
28 In those days, they shall no longer say, "Fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the teeth of the children shall be set on edge."
29 But each man shall die for his iniquity; whoever eats the unripe grapes- his teeth shall be set on edge
Verses 28-29 above are saying that in this future time, no one will continue to believe that one person can die and thereby take away the guilt for another person's sins.
Just as the prophecy says, he still is rejected by his people
Those who 'bought and sold in the Temple' were
there because of G-d's command. In Deuteronomy 14:24-26, G-d told the Jews to
sell the animal they wanted to sacrifice for money, take the money to
Jerusalem, and then after changing the money to the local currency, to buy the
same type of animal and sacrifice it. Therefore the money changers and sellers
of sacrificial animals were supposed to be there, as commanded by G-d:
And if the way be too long for thee, so that
thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the
Etrnl thy G-d shall choose to set his name there, when the Etrnl thy G-d hath
blessed thee: 25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in
thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Etrnl thy G-d shall choose:
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for
oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy
soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Etrnl thy G-d, and thou
shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household. [Deuteronomy 14:24-26]
There are other places in the New Testament
that describe Jesus's violence. Here are a few more examples.
In Mark 11:12, Jesus condemns an innocent
fruit tree to death because it did not have any figs on it for Jesus to eat,
even though it was not even the fruit season:
And on the morrow, when they were come from
Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came,
if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found
nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and
said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples
heard it. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up
from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master,
behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. [Mark 11:12-14;
20-21]
Jesus states in the following that those who
won't accept him should be slain. In almost all Christian interpretations of
the parable in which the following verse is found, Jesus is understood to have
been the ruler who speaks:
But those mine enemies, which would not that I
should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. [Luke 19:27]
Perhaps the verse above from Luke 19 has been
the Christian justification for the slaying of so many Jews throughout the
centuries, simply because we still reject Jesus.
And in Luke 22:36, Jesus tells his disciples
to go and buy swords.
So we see that here again, Jesus, a violent
man, could not have been the peace-loving servant who did 'no violence,' as
described in Isaiah 53.
Finally, there is one verse in the Isaiah
passage which describes the servant as living a long life and having children:
Yeshayahu-
Isaiah - Chapter 53
10 And the Lord
wished to crush him, He made him ill; if his soul makes itself restitution, he
shall see children, he shall prolong his days, and God's purpose shall prosper
in his hand.
But quite obviously, Jesus was never married
and had no children. He also died in his thirties, at a young age. Christians
may respond by saying that Isaiah meant Jesus' disciples by the word,
'offspring,' or that the Christians themselves are like his children, but the
word in the Hebrew is 'zerah,' which means seed, and can only refer to one's
blood-line descendants, his children. One can see this clearly in the following
passage from Genesis 15:2-4. Abram is afraid that he has no biological heirs,
the only one to inherit him is his servant, Eliezer, whom Abram calls his
'ben,' his son. However, G-d tells him that it will not be his ben, his son, to
inherit from him, but rather his seed, his 'zerah..'
And Abram said, 'Etrnl G-d what wilt thou give
me, seeing I go childless, and the son (ben) of my house is this Eliezer of
Damascus?' Then Abram said, 'see to me you have given no seed (zerah =
biological child), and see the son ('ben') of my house is my heir.' Suddenly
the word of G-d came to him, saying, 'that one will not inherit you. None but
him that shall come forth from within your bowels shall be your heir.' [Genesis
15:2-4]
So again we see that Jesus did not fulfill the
description of the servant in Isaiah 53 because he had no seed, which means no
children, no offspring.
For the sake of argument, let us assume that
Isaiah was making a prophecy of his future, rather than interpreting his past
as the past-tenses of his speech indicate. In that case, Isaiah 53 could be
applied not only to the People of Israel in the days of Isaiah, but also
throughout history. Try re-reading the Isaiah passage, but think of the Jewish
victims of the Holocaust, the pogroms, the Inquisition, the Crusades, or other
Christian persecutions of Jews, as you read it. Ask yourself, what violence did
these Jews do to deserve the fate they endured at the hands of Christians?
Jesus did not fulfill this 'prophecy' of
Isaiah 53, nor did he fulfill any of the real and important prophecies
concerning the true Messiah.
This is an actually Verse from the book of Isaiah “He is despised and rejected of men: a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Isaiah 53:3 if you think this is not from the Book of Isaiah kindly read it it’s in Chapter 53 :) have a great Day and God bless always.
....which describes Israel who is indeed despised and rejected of men: a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and the Gentiles hid as it were their faces from Israel; he is despised and not esteemed.

Does anyone know who this interviewer is? Where does this video come from? Are there more of them?
something similar... type messiahofisrael or go to messiahofisrael.org
Not to quibble, but where is it written that the sacrifices will cease? The last chapter of Zechariah seems to say the opposite if I'm reading it correctly.
It doesn't say it anywhere. And there are many more examples like the one you cited.
It's a lie, along with the rest of the garbage that this video stinks of
"For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or household gods." ~Hosea 3:4
