Happy New Year Jim. One more nice video. Thanks for sharing your goals. I also need to invest, but I don't like to invest in cryptocurrencies. I am thinking stocks or as you said real estate.
Happy New Year, George! And thanks for your kind words. Actually your "likeness" of an asset is more about your risk tolerance towards that asset. "I like investing in stocks but I don't like to invest in cryptocurrencies" means you don't find cryptos' risk factor acceptable compared to stocks. And like most, investing in real estate sounds so convenient because it's considered one of the safest investments. Yet, that risk factor you yourself have subconsciously set on every asset should point you of how much you should risk on each. Here's an "investing scale" I would create:
- I don't like = 1-3% of my capital
- I like = 10- 40% of my capital
- I love = 40-70% of my capital
Very rarely, that 1% can make up more than the 99% of your investments.
