👋💚 Hello there! Excellent video. You ran a very fast marathon and managed to show us the course. Thank you so much for the effort. Loving it! Will run Phily 2024 in five weeks time.
@@LenkaSaratoga Wow thank you for the very nice comment! I'm happy to have shared my experience on this course that I like very much! I wish you a wonderful run at Philly 2024! After the race, if you want, you could comment back and let me know how was your experience! I'm curious! ☺️ Note : remember to keep some extra energy for the end, the final rolling hills can be hard on an empty tank!
@@Ultra_P-A thank you so much for the warning about the end hills. I am a beginner runner, have only done two marathons so far this fall, both net downhill Wineglass and Mohawk-Hudson River, both in New York State. I am a female, so I always run on my own fat hahaha. So the gel nutrition is an unknown point to me. I used on-course nutrition in Wineglass Marathon once, called Huma, and kinda liked it. I read the lables on other gells, most of them seem to be a variation of tapioca syrop with artificial flavorings and negligible amounts of aminoacids or substantial amounts of VitaminB. May I ask what you take? And in what amount? Please. Again, Congrats of Personal Best in Philadelphia 💚👍
@@LenkaSaratoga Personally I use Gu Gels. It's the first brand I tried and I just stayed with it since my body reacted positively to it and I don't want to have surprises trying something else. I take one just before the start, then at 11k, 22k & 33k. I also found that I like Gatorade Endurance a lot to keep me hydrated, that's my go-to since 2022 for my bottles. Also, I try to never skip any water station. I think the most important part is finding something you like, that gives you what you need and helps your body. Before going with something new for a race I would test it a lot on long run to make sure it's ok. Marathon are never going to be the same nor easy, but if you are prepared you have more chances on your side to have a great experience! Also, thanks for mentionning my PB at Philly, I was so emotional to have mamaged to beat my old 2018 PB! Now, my time from Philly 2022 is my 2nd best since I managed to do better once in 2023 but on an easier course.
@@Ultra_P-Athank you for the detailed response on the topic of gels. I gotta figure out nutrition aspect of marathon running. Seems like everyone I meet has gels as they run marathon, and I am starting to wonder whether I am putting myself at a disadvantage by running fasted. I do not pursue fast finish, just enjoy running. I’ll let you know how it goes in the city of brotherly love👋💚 I’ll take your advice to heart and will not skip a single water station, starting from Philadelphia.
Nice going, my friend, that was a good race and a good finish time! Thanks for posting this video, it makes me want to run it some day. Actually, you have been posting lots of good videos I have been watching, and I really appreciate your taking the time to do this for us. Be well.
Omg, what a wholesome comment! I try to post many videos exactly to share my experience with others and it's always nice to know it's apprecitated! This race was amazing from start to finish and I highly recommend you to try it someday! I still don't have my 2023 race schedule fully set yet, but I'm sure I'll be able to share some nice video! 👌 The whole process of filming/editing/posting is a little long but it's 100% worth it if people enjoy the result!
un très, très beau vidéo.. félicitations pour ta course 😮 c’était super lorsque tu as croisé les gens et tapper ds les mains. bravo 👏 et merci pour ce beau parcours ❤
It's way better having a scene to look at than looking at the time and speed of the treadmill! That's why I provide these videos to threadmill runners! 😊 It's also a great way to live or re-live a Marathon events on demand! 👌

@@LenkaSaratoga Awesome! I'm sure you'll figure out nutrition that suits you eventually! Enjoy your race! 😎🤙
Watched this ahead of this year's race next week. Great preview of the course. Thank you for sharing!

@@Ultra_P-A Thank you! It ended up being a great and beautiful race. It was nice to high-five the folks on the opposite direction on the course! 😄

Il y avait une énergie positive incroyable à cette course! J'étais surpris à quel point le monde était content d'aller taper dans la main! 😊
Anybody else thinking where in the heck is the 1st water station. HAHAHAHA
16:31 Looks like in 2022 it was at the 4th km. I didn't remember that, you made me look! 😝
I was there!
🤩🤜
people virtually ran a marathon on a treadmill? That sounds awful.
