- Save your awesome runoff paint (acrylic skins) from acrylic pours and use the skins to make various projects such as jewelry, bookmarks, magnets, and more! In this video I have a LoliVefe silicone mat under my projects - these mats are amazing for saving your acrylic skins. Check them out here: lolivefe.mysho...
The jewelry pieces, glue, etc. that I am using are from Craft Fantastic: www.craftfanta...
The frame I used came from Michael's and the Elmer's Glue-All you can get just about anywhere :)

THIS VIDEO IS INTENDED FOR ADULTS.
In the scrapbooking section there are punches that will cut perfect circles, ovals, squares, etc. They cut the skins with no problem. Love your videos. You're very inspiring.
Wow so much easier than I thought. Thank you for sharing your many talents. You have inspired me to get going on my vases and jewelry. Have a great weekend.
Love this. I had made a couple bookmarks but you simplified it with the packing tape. Absolutely love your ideas. Thanks for posting
Thank you so much for not removing your "old" videos. This is my first time seeing this one. Have not seen one that I have not liked or learned something from. You are so greatly appreciated.
Why oh why didn't I think of this. This is awesome. I hated throwing those "skins" away! Now I can be even more upcycle-crazy! Love it! Thank you!
Many ideas that I've never heard of before, like bookmarks, frames, book covers. Thanks, MMG.
Thank you for sharing. Lovely work.
Watching you peel the skins of the LoliVefe mat reminds me so much of playing with Colorforms when I was a kid (back in the pre-Internet Dark Ages) :) Love all the different project ideas!
Yesss! Not wasting paint that runs off, best thing ever! So so so many things you can do, its awesome!
Fire mountain beads awesome place for jewelry
Love all these ideas
I love when you show us what you do with the skins! I can't believe I never thought of covering a picture frame!! Thank you!!
THANK YOU!!!! Mixed Media Girl you are the best. Now we can finally use up our skins!!!
So happy you made this video! I've been wanting to do this but never knew how to go about it 💖
Thank you so much for this video. I'm having so much fun with my acrylic pours and it's really helping keep me sane during pandemic lockdown in Ontario, Canada.
I was thinking about the jewelry aspects with my skins but I've found I'm using nearly the exact about of paint needed. I love what you did.
Love the idea of the necklace. I want to do something for my granddaughter with her babies picture. Thank you for the ideas 💡. You’re awesome 😎
I love this video. I also hate to waste paint so I can't wait to try this out! Thanks!
These are sooooo cool. Thank you so much. You answered a lot of questions I had. Thanks also for the speed up process. You have inspired me.
They’re all beautiful. I never knew how to make the jewelry, thank you for showing me how it’s done. The ideas are running rampant right now.
Love all the great ideas! These are super inexpensive ways to make the paint live on!
I'm so excited to try your methods!
So glad you did this because I already make the jewelry but one day the place I bought it from sent the glass with no trays & I couldn't figure out what to use it for.
Thank you!! I was just talking to my mom about doing this together! I pour, she makes jewelry, perfect combo 😂
Watching you made me wonder if you could laminate the skins for bookmarks. Wonder if it would burn the paint🤔. Interesting thought. Very cool ideas! Thanks!! Aloha!! 🤙🏼❤️
Cool ideas! A couple I never thought of. I make alot of gifts this way!
I love all these ideas. I’ve done necklaces already and a couple of bookmarks but the picture frame is a great idea. I also need to do some magnets. Thankyou so much for always having amazing ideas!!!😁
Very informative for a newbie, ty
Thank u so much! Great ideas.
Thank you for doing this tutorial!
Awesome ideas! ❤🎨
Thank you for this. I currently hand paint on the back of glass cabochons with nail polish. This is a great thing to do with leftover paint. Plus I'm super excited because today is my birthday and my Mum bought me your book! Can't wait to read it cover to cover 😁
For the bookmarks, they wouldn’t need to be so wide and then you wouldn’t need two strips of tape. It’d look a lot cleaner if you didn’t have a tape seam. Just a tip. 👍🏻
You can also get wider packing tape.
Awesome!!
Love the picture frame. I have a few of these. I haven’t painted in a while but I will be getting back into it really soon.
This is awesome
those are awesome
Cool ideas 💡. Ty for sharing
Good ideas❤
Love the frame!!!
Thanks Marcy!
You are a very smart lady, I don't let my mind go a far as yours does. I think of things but keep coming up with "who would buy this stuff or who would want it" if I just gave it away.
I have the exact same problem. I give most of my stuff away.
Great!😁💯👏🏽
Fun, fun!!! 💖💖💖
Do the glass cabochons stay on the tray with just that double sided tape?
can you make like paper/fabric flowers with them, and use on a mixed media painting, maybe?
also, if having things like the necklace parts, but without the glass, how can one do then?
my favourite place to get jewellery findings is on ebay. the shipping takes a long time since everything comes directly from china (usually takes 1-3 months), but so many times I find the exact same things that were being sold at michaels for something like $8 for 6, I find on ebay 99¢ for 100 with free shipping. the only difference is the stuff from ebay doesn't have branded packaging. you gotta be careful not to get carried away though, it's like shopping in the world's biggest dollar store and every aisle is the craft aisle
also, did you ever do anything with that huge skin from that (if I remember correctly) table project? I kept an eye out for it in future uploads, but if you ever used it in a video I must've missed it
No I still have it, haven't decided :)
Thank you so much for showing me what to do with the skins. All this time I've been throwing it away, what a shame
Could you please suggest another glue for the pendants? Maybe something available at Michaels or Hobby Lobby please?
Why is your favorite color your favorite color?
How do you feel when you look at the color red?
Why do you think the police wear navy blue?
How would you feel if you had to wear the same color every day?
What colors do you associate with each season?
Great video!! I have been doing projects with skins this week too!! So many piling up! Do you have any ideas for larger skins? I have several that are larger than 8x10 and I'm stuck on what to do with them. Love the picture frame!! It's my favorite!! 😍😍😍
Book covers or even just frame them as a work of art :)
@@MixedMediaGirl ah genius! Thank you!! 🤗🦒
what did you say the name of the jewelry pieces are called again? great ideas
Would wax paper work as well as parchment paper?
Ok dumb questions. Can you use plastic sheeting? Butcher paper? Wax paper? Or aluminum foil. The last one is just cause I’ve got a ton of it. Oh this is in reference to saving skins.
I don't think aluminum foil but I'm pretty sure plastic or wax paper would work ok for storing
Could you laminate the bookmark one if it was a little thinner?
Can you heat the skins with a heat gun or hair dryer to make it stick together better?
Probably :)
This is really cool!! Thank you for the ideas!!🤗😍 Just curious if you have ever made a painting from skins?
I haven't :)
I am making cabochons bookmarks from skins, now I have been asked to sell them. Would you be able to tell me how to charge for 5hem?
This was awesome. TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTYTY
