Yes, it definitely would've been better to wait. I don't remember exactly what my thought process was when I decided to shotgun the D-barrier, but it made for a funny replay!
I don't particularly like Nibiru because it can be dead against many matchups (most importantly Purrely and the mirror match), but I think it can be a good 1-of that you can draw off Maxx C to punish an opponent that decides to play into it and go for an otk. It's not a bad card, I just think that there are stronger handtraps for this meta. However, I should note that Nibiru has a couple of cool interactions in Labrynth specifically: you can activate Nibiru and chain a furniture to discard it so that it tributes the board without summoning the token, and you can also return it to the hand with Big Welcome to use it again later.
Hi dude, thank u so much for the replays. I have a question... i am in master V , but Is Better play fenrir or gamma? Today i was in master IV but i Lost some match and i returned in V... Maybe i miss some play i don t know... Is very hard for me get the MASTER 1, damn....
I tried both and personally I prefer Gamma because it's a more impactful card: going 2nd it can obviously stop your opponent, but going 1st it's also very good because it can protect you against Ash on the Pots or the Welcomes. It also punishes people who drop Maxx "C" or Dimension Shifter in the Draw Phase. Fenrir is cool but it's rarely enough to break a board when going 2nd and it is usually a win more card when going 1st. Dropping in rank happens all the time so don't worry, just keep dueling and you'll get there. I myself have made some misplays in these replays, there's still many things I can improve on.
Fenrir is a great card, but I preferred to run Gamma because I feel like it provides more utility by negating Ash, Maxx C (expecially when dropped in the Draw Phase) and as an handtrap in general. I didn't want to take out other cards from the deck, so I just dropped the Fenrir
Have you ever struggled against purrely without droll, mourn, etc cards? I am really considering trying to make place for those cards before I start my climb.
I didn't find many Purrely players in my climb, so I didn't feel the need to add tech cards just for them. If I did, I would probably swap Gamma for Droll. In any case, this deck can already be annoying to Purrely because you have so many quick effects to prevent the Rank 2s from chaining to their quickplays and obtaining enough material to rank up into Noir
@@eliathaprophet Ty for the reply and insight :D nice video and guide btw! Edit: What is your opinion about fenrir in lab deck? I read about Eradicator feeling like a win more card but nothing about fenrir~
@@Phamboo_ Thanks. Fenrir is a good card, but to me it didn't feel like it was necessary to the board when I drew it going 1st, and it didn't help very much breaking the opponent's board when I drew it going 2nd, so I cut it for another handtrap. Gamma also has its downsides since it can be a brick when going 1st, but I thought that it would've been better to play something that helps more going 2nd. I'm sure things will change next season and there will be better techs to play in those slots, assuming I will still be on Lab.
Great video for me to learn from as I just made a Labrynth deck. I’m really struggling against Mathmech right now. They just always Ash my maxx C and if you don’t get a perfect opening hand like you had (three furniture cards and Lady) the Superfactorial destroys me and I get OTKd next turn.
It's very hard to win against mathmech if they open combo and have a way to negate your handtraps. The only way is setting everything and hoping that Laplacian doesn't hit a crucial trap
Love these kinds of vids. Learning lines and choke points. Thanks.
You're welcome!
This was amazing!! I love me some Labrynth, especially when the pilot is extremely solid! Thanks again!
You're welcome!
Damn, you did the Dogmatika Player dirty ☠️
Nice replays, the XYZ guess was pretty funny, wouldn’t it be better to wait and see what they play tho?

Any thoughts on adding nibiru?
