hard to beat the mighty strike king 6xd and rat traps! had real good luck with the sweep/ pause method i picked up from brian cox... and boy o' boy, cant wait til i finish my john boat this week to get back on the water boys, i am geek'n.
As a bank fisherman and bfs I go with the shad rap.I also like the Berkley flitter shad when it's windy.I also do well with the jointed shad rap when the water is slightly stained
HUGE thumbs up to bank guys. I fished a golf course for 4 years AND had a boat and fished the bank when my boat was in the shop. Those pond/bank fish behave exactly like lake fish. You smoke them one day and wanna throw all your sh*t in the pond or lake the next.
Love the flat sides and shad raps in cold water in the winter... Rootbeer Chart in dirty water and natural shad patterns in clean water... Great info in this video and every video you put out....Cant wait for the next one...
I feel better about my interpretation of angles after watching this video. ESPECIALLY after you mentioned “boat rubbing” on shear walls. My angles are right but I have a ways to go on truly learning cranking. Thank you sir!
Thanks Hank this video is perfect timing. I’m gonna fish this weekend and need this to add to my repertoire. Thanks as always helping me. #100%Watchsquad!! Catch u soon.
Fritts is my spirit pro angler so cranking is my heart and soul for fishing. Shallow, medium, deep, and any size are confidence baits. #100percentwatchsquad
One day at Wal-Mart. I looked down. 2 Googan Klutch's in Bluegill color. Bought both went fishing the next day. The Largemouth tore that bait up. I totally agree. A looked over bait. Good luck in the future bass fishing. Shawn.
I havent had much luck with a regular crank bait. I can use a square bill or a shad rap but i really struggle with a crank bait bro 🎣🔥 #100percentwatchsquad
Hey that's all a crankbait. A lot of cranking just deepends on the situration. Crankbaits are one of those baits I tell people to stay away from unless you just need to spend a ton of money lol
You already know that I like your fishing show on UA-cam and you are a good bass fisherman can you actually tell people Sheridan doors to use in thank you very much
Do you mean Exact lures? If not what is "Sheridan doors" mean. If it is Exact Lures I do in this video but there are so many that will work. The truth is don't by into the "this is the best cold water crankbait" or any magic bait. So the best advice I can give you is find a company like pradco or strike king that makes them ALL and learn the difference because they will pretty much be the same across the board. A beaver is a beaver, a craw is a craw. See what I'm saying. Don't let it over whelm you. PS this is a great video Idea.
havent tried a drop shot yet. maybe tomorrow morning. and man i dont wanna give up yet either!! recently caught a 4.8 lb on a lipless crank. they been eating that up.@@zerodohc
#100percentwatchsquad I was never big on cranks in the winter. It's real hard to take that jig rod out of my hands. But the last couple years I've been working cranks more and more. Smaller squarebills like a 6th Sense Crush 50X in a black and blue pattern has been good to me so far this year. Also been getting bites on a balsa Rapala OG Slim with a circuit board bill.
I found this crank in the fall at Wal-Mart. It's black with blue accents. A beautiful looking crank. Wasn't sure when to use it. You are the first one. To talk about this bait for cold winter fishin. Can you tell me how to reel it back in? Would really like to hear your in put. Shawn.
@BassGeek April 15th next year when smallmouth starts. Chain pickerel open year round. We had so much rain since mid June it kept the rivers way up into the trees. It was hot on the days that I didn't fish. I got out once in early June before it got hot and rain every couple of days. Have a great day
I have no idea what I'm doing with a crankbait. I do the burn burn pause, and I'm always shocked when on the 3rd or 4th burn theres just a fish on there. Already set and everything becuase the baits moving so fast 😂 Not a confidence bait, but i know they get hit and its fun when they do. Anyone else have a LOT of trout steal these things tho? Where I live they love it more than the bass do.

Those jointed husky jerks at great wake baits

What about the Berkeley Warpig, underrated lure it has an amazing diagonal flutter on pauses.
DT pumkinseed, DT Bluegill are my go to. Thanks for the info hank.
Gooduns
Agreed , both are good baits/ color.
Crankbaits are by far my #1 Confidence bait!! #100percentwatchsquad
They are fun

Yeah I need to pick some of those up
Don’t have a lot of luck with cranking but I been trying to do more of it this year. Rock crawler has been good so far
I love the old rock crawler.

A good bait is the Berkeley Googan Klutch 1/8 ounce in a Bluegill Pattern, you can even catch Bluegill on it.
Sounds good
@@BassGeek it's surprisingly good they also have a 1/4 ounce version.

Thank you Hank, great info. It’s cranking weather. #100%watchsquad
Yes sir it is!
I'm going to try my hand at speed cranking sometime this winter
It’s a blast.
been struggling to get bass here in TN. mornings are around 32 degrees right now.
Same up here in Indiana. I haven't completely gave up this year just yet but the last few fish I caught were on a drop shot.
havent tried a drop shot yet. maybe tomorrow morning. and man i dont wanna give up yet either!! recently caught a 4.8 lb on a lipless crank. they been eating that up.@@zerodohc
Yeah it’s been tough in TN they pulling off the bank or deep
@@BassGeek been getting skunked on my kayak lately. Since it got cold. But bank fishing slowed down. A lot!
Do you ever show video catchin fish?
You obviously DON’T watch often. I have a playlist of hundreds of videos with fish catches. Have fun for hours and stop belly aching.
@@BassGeek You are right, I do not watch often. I'll keep looking!

The Bandit 300 in Rootbeer is being discontinued so buy as many as you can find...
DANG! Yup I'm on it.
Dang I'm going NOW!
My followers heard your beats and topwater buzz beads
Thanks I hope this helps
I have different brands of crankbaits. Our smallmouth season has closed up November 15 here in New Brunswick Canada
Dang! Hey I hope it helps when it opens up again

Your coocoo. No wind a crankbait works with bluebird skies still works. High sun you name it
