To Sunny's final point... the case was about embryos that were mistakenly destroyed in a clinic, which was understandably devastating for the hopeful families who had invested time, emotions, and money into their IVF treatments, but those embryos were not a guarantee of a child. We don't even know the viability of the embryos. This should have been a case for destruction of property with a monetary judgment. End of story. Sunny's entire argument of "life begins at conception," is just an INTERPRETATION of her own faith. But faith is not based on factual evidence or science. Not to mention a little thing called the separation of church and state. Everyone is free to practice their own religious beliefs, but those beliefs should not be imposed on others, least of all by the federal government.

Sunny, an attorney thinks with religion in mind. She is married to a doctor, uses incorrect terminology such as baby for embryo. She did IVF not supported by her religion. Only follows her religious rules that are convenient for her. She talks about IVF expense, though her household income is way above average Americans.
She also calls those two leftover embryos “babies” while keeping them frozen indefinitely. She is 55 and her actual kids are college aged. I’ll eat my hat if she ever decides to birth and raise those “babies”. She never will. She’s a hypocrite.
And, she talks about if someone destroyed her embryos, there should be consequences. There already are laws against destruction of other people’s property, we did not need this new law on the books. No one cares about your Catholic religion and superstitions, except for you. As it should be. Girl bye.

@@HeidiBannerman The point of the hypothetical is if they truly believe that embryos are babies, they should pick the 50 babies over the one. But they would most likely choose to save the one baby because they don't really see those 50 embryos as 50 babies. The point of the hypothetical is to get people to think if they really mean what they say. It's not a likely scenario someone is going to have to make, but it is important for people to question their philosophy and ideas to see if they hold up well.

I have always wondered how Sunny as a catholic and believer that life begins at conception went through IVF. During IVF multiple embryos are created and those not used are kept frozen or destroyed. Is she honestly sayjng she only got 2 embryos from her IVF journey?

It seems that situation was blown out of proportion. As Sunny said, this case got started because a clinic accidentally destroyed a couple's embryos. The clinic should have been prosecuted against for it, repay all money the couple spent and any additional trauma they suffered. That should have been the end of it. Now that case has lead to court rulings that has the potential to negatively effect millions. The case should have never gotten this far.

Just like women should get child support the moment they get pregnant if they're being forced to carry a pregnancy. I had three pregnancies one including Twins and I was real sick, it was hard to work. Thankfully I had a spouse, I can't imagine if I would have been a single pregnant mom.

The eggs go through this chamber with lights and you're supposed to physically pick out the fertilized ones but it goes so fast that they get through. You may have had a fertilized omelette and didn't know it. Just a little more protein it's okay. LOL
