- Take a look at the new teachers' apartment block right next to our school and the busy, noisy main road. It's nice enough for now, but we certainly miss the 'hotel life' from last year.

Hi Aaron, I think your apartment looks great. I've been looking at teaching in the UAE. I'm hoping to secure a position for mid 2019. I haven't considered Fujairah. Would you recommend this part of the UAE for a family? We have 2 boys aged 2 and 4. Plus one more on the way due in January.

Uae is very family friendly. And i think fujairah does not have that city hustle bustle like dubai. Calm peaceful one

off course if you feel internet and telephone bills are expensive when compare to UK you can go to UK itself.. and moreover you wont get all these housing facilities in UK when compare to UAE .
Where do you teach? I’m thinking about teaching abroad for a year or two, but hear pros and cons for lots of places! And on UA-cam very very mixed in terms of accommodation provided!

The dress code is very simple. Respectful attire; ladies have freedom to wear dresses, blouses, tights, trousers, etc.

I need your advice! I recieved an offer from a private school in Abu Dhabi and they requested to contact a travel agency and I did, they asked to transfer the money in order to issue the visa and work permit. is this the right way to do thing?
Hello! Thanks for the message. I can't be sure how each private school does things, but asking you to pay for visa/permits in advance is pretty odd. The school should cover that for you, based on my experience. I would advise you get in touch with the school and ask for more details regarding this transaction.

Hi Aaron, I am currently in the process of applying to schools in the UAE. What is the usual time for interviews to take place, since schools out there start in September? Love the apartment though.
Interviews can happen at anytime depending on the need of the school. Anytime from January to July! Most schools try to get their staffing in place well in advance, but lots of people pull out (naturally, it's a big move so people often have second thoughts, etc.) so they need to interview/advertise roles again.
