He went from experimenting on UA-cam...to solidifying himself as one of Rocket League’s greatest artists. In just a few, short years, he’s seen it all: Success. Disappointment…and redemption.

Squishy is literally the Shroud of Rocket League. Consistently nutty, but you can never tell how much effort he’s actually using.
I've had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Squishy a couple times. Not only is he a nutty player, but he's just a super nice guy. One of the legends of the game. If you folks ever do another Rocket League player profile, I'd suggest Kuxir97. The guy has been in the scene since day one and has been an absolute force the entire time. He's the GOAT
Not A Rockstar lucky guy, and I agree, one on Kux has to be done.
Squishy is probably one of my inspirations of all time. He’s soo humble and soo nice. Thank you for making this video, he deserves this.

1:00 for anyone who doesn’t play the game this shot was revolutionary for the scene. Ceiling shots were rarely done in esports but defending them was well known. He fakes the first defender and gets it over the second. Crazy.

I am a huge fan of rocket league and I am play it a lot. I have been following the e-sports scene since season 3 (when I strated playing) and I love that it's getting more attention because it deserves it. Squishy and C9 have been a huge part of the community and I love that you made a video about him but honestly I feel like Torment and Gimmick deserve more credit then they got. They are amazing players and together the 3 of them are an incredible combination. I know Squishy was the protagonist, but please give them some credit, they truly deserve it.

for people who never played this game, it all looks so easy. but hitting the ball is already a challenge itself for most people
I love the learning curve and process of the game:
First, you learn how to drive to the ball,
Then you learn how to flip the car and shot the ball to the direction you'd want
Next is learning to fly :)
Then you learn the basics of positioning to be where you should on the pitch
And finally you have a long way of improving upon all these things while getting mechanical skills along to help which is a very rewarding process: I had a grin for the whole day when I scored my first pinch shot, was reenacting Neo's "I know jiu-jitsu" after learning half-flip and so on.
Fantastic video. But you didn’t even show his best shot of Season 6 finals! His flip reset was insane! (Even though torment finished it)
I remember watching every moment of this live he was one of my first people to watch play rocket league back when it first came out. Recently stopped playing the game but I love watching him destroy!

After having gone to a few of the RLCS events and meeting all these guys multiple times IRL I can say I am so glad to see the coverage you guys give the RocketLeague pros, you do their stories justice.

I remember watching that RLCS when they won. I was following that season diligently every weekend watching every game. Dignitas tore up every single opponent that they faced for two years running. I had a bet that Dignitas was going to win. A $20 bet with my friends and we both watched as C9 made history as the biggest comeback team to every play in the RLCS. I was jumping out of my chair in excitement as my wife was laughing at me and I'll tell you right now, that was the best $20 I've ever spent. C9 was my favorite team in RLCS since I started watching but I knew how powerful Dignitas was in their prime and didn't expect them to be folded up by Cloud9. I was nearly crying in excitement when that ball touched the ground for the last time. Congrats on making RLCS history multiple times Squishy and congrats on the win. You will get another one with NRG. Been following you on UA-cam since 40K subs. GLHF, GG

Squishy is from C9, this channel always overhypes everything a C9 player ever does. Don't get me wrong, Squishy is my favourite player but yeah the favouritism is clear. Just look at how many videos they posted when C9 won a CS:GO major.

Young Atmeh it’s prob based off of bias /how many views can they get by putting C9 in the name buuut time wise it’s never a bad bet to do a review on Squishy. No man is without his team and no team is without the game, with the game comes opponents and challenges, what C9 has done against such monster teams in more than 1 eSport is an opportunity for some views based on relevancy. I want a GarretG rather Kro but that’s personal and it would make sense to put some of the earlier champions or leaders of the sport buuut to discredit Squishy like that, his success story is different from most pros.

Gamer un proximiiity I'd say do Kux first just because he's more of a legend and has contributed more. He's more known for his clutch plays, like, did u see the Promotion Playoffs? He's the reason TBR are back in RLCS, and he's the reason they bet Veloce. But one on Kro has to be done as well, no doubt.

monumental? it was a good shot, nothing else but showing the dominance against a poor dignitas. Monumental is a poor word to describe it, mainly because it wasn't the first he scored that tournament and it isn't even the best shot from the tournament.

RL is probably the second esport where I don't understand the logic behind the mechanics, tactics, game sense, and so on, but I keep watching it because its just amazing.

@@Odychatz Fighting games like Tekken, SF, MK, Smash, the likes. I understand even less, there, and I genuinely suck at those games, but I can't help but be in awe when I watch matches of those.
@@wunzeptepwun6175 the only way to understand how the game works is to play a lot of that game. When it comes to RL i have around 1k hrs ( i dont play anymore) and even though i cant do those crazy skillshots in game I know how the pros can do it because I have tried them out in training.

Its like watching boxing, MMA (in atleast the UFC), football (or soccer), basketball, or hockey. Apart from boxing and basketball, all those other sports I also don't understand whatsoever, but how they do things are amazing.

You guys overrate RLCS so much. A title is won in a team, that makes a team the best in the world, not a player. Did you see what he has done in season 6? He basically destroyed Dignitas on his own and he is pulling off flip resets and ceiling shots against the best teams in the world. Name one player who is better than him in terms of mechanics. The only player that comes close to him is Justin and not even him could pull off what Squishy did. Think logically and analyse how a person plays, not how many titles the team wins. Just because Ronaldo didn't come far in the Chamions League doesn't mean that he is bad. Just because Messi hasn't won a Champions League title since 2015 doesn't make him bad. He is still the best.

Squishy is a really great person. A lot of people look at him as the best all around Rocket League player, which he definitely is. But he is a really good person and is humble and respectful. Not many people like this at levels he is achieving attain his qualities... he loves his fans and supporters and shows it. 🙏 Watch his twitch streams if you don't already.
