Almost nothing new was built in this city since 1991. Even the main hospital wasn't renovated since the 1960s. Great to see the city finally being rebuilt.

Russia is REBULDING a city once a war-torn area, and I think that's a good thing. I hope they have a clear plan to build accommodations, basic infrastructures like schools, hospitals water and power plants, allowing the local people to settle down, to have jobs, to sustain their own community. In other words, the Russians cannot place missile bases close to the USA, but the Americans can already surround Russia with bases with missiles aimed at Russia, do you think that is right?

Thank you for the update! I'm happy to see Mariupol is not anymore a destroyed city where ethnic Russians were imprisoned or killed every passing day by the "bandera" guys! I'm glad to see the city recovering and progressing fast towards an open and dynamic city where most previous inhabitants can now live in peace and believing in the future thanks to Russia and God!

My wife's cousins who spent 5 weeks in the basement of apartment after the Ukraine military threw them out so they could have a top floor east facing gun nest. They finally evacuated after those 5 weeks to the east as a safe corridor was established. The family ended up going to our relatives in Belarus. They got a surprise from the Russian Government and was given a brand new apartment with 2 bedrooms and a living area 5 months after the war in the City. They are happy with the situation.

@@fresagrus4490 Hey brother. It's in Mariupol with the essentials like the bathroom, kitchen and electric all furnished. Just Skyped with cousins. The contractors doing the work in Mariupol are from St. Petersburg. The work in the Donbas Oblast is being done by contractors from Moscow.
Now tell them that according to Western media in the United Nations, they are victims of genocide because Russia forcibly resettled them.

@@fresagrus4490 Everyone that lived in Mariupol and got their home destroyed has the right to get a newly constructed home in Mariupol for free.
Most homes were not destroyed like that, and just need some renovation. Even houses that weren't touched by the war are getting renovated.

As the old proverb says: Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes more time to build, than to destroy. Give it some time, and the place will look better than before the conflict.
Another thing: as I've noticed many people ask in the comment section "How's the situation in Mariupol?" but no one has asked "Do you guys need anything?"

Самая чёрная, низкооплачиваемая работа, ни жилья, ни гражданства, а в Мариуполе они получат жилье ,если их разрушено, то жилье, которое сохранилось, везде делают капитальный ремонт, с полной заменой коммуникаций, работа в городе есть и в общем то, сейчас там довольно безопасно.
