    I realised that I've been cutting my cheek line far too low. I wondered why the hair didn't look right on the sides. I was lining the sides to just below my lower lip line. Think I will let those hairs come through and cut the shape further up. Fingers crossed it fixes itself

    One of the best tips for me recently came from your deep conditioning video. Not for deep conditioning, but the amount of cowash you were using... I used to slather that on like cake batter... Lol
    I started using about a third of the amount when I cowash and it has been huge.
    I agree don't take anyone's word for what works, test them out yourself... Thanks for another great video!

I used beard product and noticed a lot of hair staying put after I used my homemade Apple cider and baking soda. Try everything out it could work only for you and rock what you got!

    Bro, first off much appreciated on the videos. I recently bought a hot comb, but haven't used it yet. Looking for tutorials, I found your video on if those products are right for our type of hair. Since then, been binge watching your content.
    For this one though, looking for a bit more guidance. I've been growing a goatee most of my life (currently 39 yrs old), but since the pandemic, I've been letting my facial hair grow out. Now, I feel you on staying the course, but my concern is I got 3 different lengths going on. The sides are getting somewhat longer, but the goatee is the longest (last 4 months without any shaving)... and I always kept my neck clean. Facial hair is kind of all over the place now. Sorry for the long message, but with all that do I still let it grow to my desired length and/or until it all eventually fills out...or do I shave to get all 3 areas at the same starting length?

    • @BeardedExistence
      @BeardedExistence  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the support and feedback fam!! Much success on your journey! When you are saying your waiting on things to fill in do you currently have bare spots in your beard? The reason I ask is if you do and you find out that it won’t grow in that area that may determine how you shape your beard and you may not want to cut off the time and patience you put into your goatee. Maybe you can trim a little off the chin to not make the difference so drastic but Shaving it off to start completely over is definitely a no. Stay strong fam be safe👊🏾

    • @Urthking99
      @Urthking99 4 роки тому

      @@BeardedExistence My brother!!! I really didn't want to have to shave it all off! The facial hair I currently have is filling in nicely on the sides, so no bare spots there...its just the sides aren't as long as the chin, and my neck just has a very sparse, thin layer. In looking at it, I could take a bit off the chin (thanks for the beard shaping vids!), but definitely staying the course and not shaving it! I really appreciate you brother, and the content. Much love and peace, bro!! 👊🏽

    It can be frustrating at times when you don't see the desired results .Especially when you have the hair fall out here and there, then you decide to shave of your beard(which I've done a few times in the past).Rain or shine I aint gonna shave it.Consistency is key though and as you said figuring out what works for you. This video is 5 months too late for me. I cut my beard off in November 2019 and I made a conscious effort to take care of it. Been watching all your videos from the very 1st one till this video. Been staying consistent with my routine, and I've reached a decent length in that time... and guess what... I'm noticing split ends. So I'm going to try something different. Trial & error. I came across this video, because I was just to cut my stagnant beard off (again). My younger brother (by 7 years) has an "epic beard" and I have had beard envy for years. I’ve been growing since June 2022 (march2023 now) and I have somewhat of a chin strap beard. I don’t want it on my cheeks and I have visible hair growth on my cheeks so I always get that cut. This is my first beard and normally I always think about cutting it before a haircut (like right now) should I let the cheek hair grow in and then get the shape I want when I get more growth? It’s almsot connected on the left side but not thick. My right side is mostly just sideburn

    • @BeardedExistence

Now my under beard, (which was much curlier than my chin) blends in much better and my beard actually looks fuller due to not being able to see thru it.Also I dig the more groomed look over the Grizzly Adams look!
