Yes! Been waiting for this one. Honestly I felt that, the heel support in this model, might be an issue, for me, and from the look and sound of it, I might be correct. I can't stand heel slippage, imagined or real, which has always been a problem on Metcons, for me. Might try them if they go on sale, somewhere, but for that price, I can't justify trying them out. Great first impression though... really appreciate it.
Right? I find it hard to eat the $150 USD for folks who may or may not like this shoe, especially if they're don't necessarily need this style of footwear or are not wanting to a drop a ton of $$ on multiple shoes. If you try them...I am excited for your thoughts. Hopefully these go on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods!
Awesome unboxing...a lot of great points. I'm loving this shoe. It allows me to take one shoe with me for the day I don't need a specialized training shoe. When I'm done I can slip my feet in and go. Being able to beat these up and throw them in the wash is awesome and I wear a size 15 so if I don't have to take a second pair of shoes with me all the time to the gym... Bonus.
@@thatfitfriend outsole durability has been solid. No issues so far. Outside, the flow outsole has been good. I wear these outside casually a lot over the last couple weeks both pre and post workouts. Flow is interesting. It looks like the tread smoothes out as you wear it but looking closer at it, the tread pattern still has deep grooves. I had the flow velociti wind and put 100 miles on that and flow is surprisingly durable in my experience.
@@brianwj5 Dope! Thanks for the insights. I had the Flow Velociti Wind 2 and started to notice the tread fade after a few months, too, I was doing a lot of hill sprint work, though, so I'm curious if these will be similar for that type of sole strain since they're built similarly it seems. Excited to keep putting these to the test!
Fun to watch you unbox. The UA bag is actually a laundry bag. The are promoting that the shows are completely machine washable. Close into bag and toss in washer. (assume air dry). Will be curious whether that's just a gimmick, or if they really clean more easily, after folks have had a change to grunge them up. Questioning whether they work for all foot anatomies seems kind of speculative, but hey, I know this is first impression.
This was great! Your reviews are my go to, you have the most thorough shoe reviews for workout and all types of movement. Will you do one on the UA Surge 3 Slip Running Shoes please? Thanks!
I have them, but haven't gotten around to reviewing them. They're so chunky that I have a tough time finding contexts where they make a lot of sense ngl
I'm gonna be that one person and just ask are these good enough to work in, like walk around all day in. I am going into the medical field and these sound amazing for the long days on the floor to just slip on and off.
There are a ton. If you're going Under Armour, opt for the TriBase Reign 3/4. The UA Project Rock 5 could also be a viable option. Outside of UA, Nike Metcon 8, Haze Trainer, TYR CXT-1 Trainer, the list goes on. Have a bunch of round-ups covering this performance cat!
Yeah, brah - I have a graphic saying so in vid! Learned that after the fact as I didn't want to spend too much time focusing on a bag during the unboxing process.

Love it! Thanks for sharing 🤝
How has the sole durability been for you? Have you used them for outdoor training yet?

That lacing system is coooool. Hope UA makes a version of the Tribase with this system hehe
I feel you. I like the BOA system as well! Excited to see how this shoe line evolves over time.

Yeah, I learned that after the fact! They do not, and I have a full review on them.
Thanks! I love your reviews, keep em coming man!
I sincerely appreciate that! Thank you 🤝
@@thatfitfriend Yes! You deserve it!
Impressive, nice demonstration!
Thank you! Love these types of videos because I get to highlight a little more of my workouts testing the shoes.

Thank you! I can add them to the queue. Currently recovering from the flu so I'm wicked behind on content and shoes!
Great first impressions as always. Thank you for putting your own time and money into vids for us 🫡
Thank you, friend! 🤝
Great unboxing! I'm wondering if the shoes are suitable for aerobic jogging after lifting.
Eh, they could work, but you’d be better off with something else for this price, imo
Hi jake..slipspeed mega the new one is for training or runng
I have them, but haven't gotten around to reviewing them. They're so chunky that I have a tough time finding contexts where they make a lot of sense ngl
Hi Jake. It’s been a while since this video. But do these run big or look big on the feet off hand
They don't run big, but they do have a rather "big" look to them, imo!

Should be okay, tbh, especially if you're primarily wearing them all-day indoors!
What shoe would you recommend for lifting only that has a firmer underfoot feeling?

@@thatfitfriend Thanks
What are the brand of shorts you’re wearing in the workout portion of the video?!?!
Ten Thousand Interval Short, 7" inseam (lined)
Awesome! Thank you for replying! Gonna get them!
@@oscargabaldon8875 welcome! I have reviews on them if you want to check them out to make sure they work for ya 🤝
The bag is for cleaning. Washing machine safe.

@@thatfitfriend Thanks for your review, after watching it I decided these might not be the ones for me.
