  • @jimenz6548

    I have to comment on the large gap of the band saw blade from the table to the upper blade guides. Looks like the upper blade guides are all the way up. Exposing the better part of the blade all the time. The safe way would be to lower that guard and be safe. and prevent blade wander.

    • @guyg.5339
      @guyg.5339 2 роки тому +1

      That's exactly what i was thinking, it is safer and with the guide down near the piece of wood the cut is more easy to do.

    Things you might think about… riving knife for the table saw, bench vice , only one piece of wood in the chop saw at a time ,and no lifting the wood off the table into the blade on the chop saw ,make that cut on the bandsaw instead. Just some safety tips so you can keep on making with all your fingers intact. But seriously , the riving knife could save you from a serious injury.

    • @brahilly
      @brahilly 2 роки тому +2

      As a former woodshop supervisor and instructor, I totally agree. Also, using an angle grinder with a sanding disk to do large flat surfaces just adds more work if you ever intend to finish it to a higher degree. And I winced when I saw you using that bandsaw blade. Like Russell Peters said, "someone's gonna get hurt".

      What is a riving knife?

    • @madpainter7114
      @madpainter7114 2 роки тому +1

      @@jonathanechols9985 a riving knife installs behind the table saw blade and prevents the cut from closing and potentially sending the board back towards you at a high speed. All table saws come with them, but not everyone installs them. Maybe they like the danger…lol.

Sophisticated editing, the result of elaborate skill and sturdy equipment, this is not within the reach of the first amateur to come, you have to have a lot of ideas to overcome such a task.
