This event was actually super fun, it was nice seeing more of Kaveh and his character development. Its a shame that its locked behind a temporary freaking event tho
I wouldn't say character development. Kaveh doesn't change much as a person. His decisions are very in character. We learn a lot about his past and that he always helps people even if it harms him partly because of his guilt in his hangout event too. the event is just another perspective of his character. You miss some character interaction between him and Faruzan and that Alhaitham cares about him (in his own weird way) but you still get almost the same characterization from Kaveh in his hangout.
@@zillo1600 yeah I agree, essentially what I meant by ‘character development’ was how they developed his character more ( basically giving him more screen time) and the fact that they gave us more insight of him as a person in general, we only saw him during the archon quest and alhaithams story quest, so it was nice seeing more about his backstory and personality
@@izzy8324 yeah true but it is not as bad as with other characters that gets characterization with time limited event for example the golden archipelago or all the stuff with Albedo. @@izzy8324 It is unfortunate. We want to have interesting events but time-gating important lore leaves a bad aftertaste. for example how important the unreconciled star event became and that was in 1.1. or how Baihzu talked about knowing Xiao and that was only in his new trailer. But with so many characters i guess it can't be helped. You can put them all in the main story.
It’s funny he questions Scara drinking coffee but never thought about it when Ei and Albedo eat. They all do it because they like it. Simple pleasures.
Yeah exactly, I feel like Albedo, Scaramouche and The Raiden Shogun don't have a need for basic necessities, and just do it for the enjoyment. Also, I believe that gods don't need to do so either, as Nahida managed to survive in her little bird cage for 500 years, and I doubt the sages are feeding her well. Of course there may also be some other factors that may have played a part in this: 1) It is possible that gods can just conserve their energy for long periods of time through meditation, which could be how Nahida and even Ei managed to be in such good condition even after being in a place without basic necessities for 500 years. The only hole in that theory would be that Ei was planning on meditating in the Place of Euthymia for the foreseeable future, which meant that if there weren't a way to properly sustain herself, then her energy surely would be spent after x amount of years spent in that place. Of course, it may be because of her lack of an actual body that ensures that she doesn't need to sustain herself, and that the only erosion she could possibly experience is mental erosion. 2) In the instance of Nahida (and maybe Ei), she was trapped in a cage that leaves her suspended in time, preventing her body from undergoing any physical fatigue, similar to the phenomena happening during Perilous Trails. The flaw of this, would be her awareness of time and exactly how long she has been trapped in the meditation orb thingy. Like, she's even aware of the date, if her awareness of her birthday is anything to go by. Of course, it could also be argued that she is privy to that information as she has been secretly watching her people and therefore is able to figure out the passage of time. 3) The archons, and by extension gods, simply do not have a need for necessities such as food and water, as they are pure elemental beings (ie. Venti being a wind spirit, Zhongli being a rock dragon, Nahida being a branch from Irminsul. I'm not sure of Ei or Makotos' original form, but we can assume it's something to do with the elements as well.) In that case, they have no use of food to regain energy and strength, as they have an abundance of elemental energy. They likely eat and drink for the pleasure of eating and drinking. As for how Venti gets drunk, well, there is a possibility that the whole drunk thing is just in his mind, as this is what he hopes would happen when he pops open a bottle. After all, being a heavy alcoholic for 2000+ years doesn't seem to have any long lasting effects. 4) I'm just overthinking this whole thing.
Albedo is supposed to be just like a human but (wo)man made though. So he doing anything a human would do makes sense. The Shogun and Scaramouche are explicitly stated as ‘puppets’
I really like how in this event (and in kavehs hangout too) we get subtle hints that alhaitham really does care about kaveh and that the bickering is just a facade. Realizing he made kaveh sad with teasing in the first quest and quickly backing down, checking up on him with a subtle glance after finding out there was trouble in the desert, and him wanting to find out more about kavehs father being one reason he took part in the event. Alhaitham cares about Kaveh, and Kaveh doesn't even know lol
He's like the opposite of Tighnari and Cyno. They both kind of baby him. So Alhaitham is basically the stern friend who give him the reality check, no matter how harsh the Truth maybe.

His ideals and goals didn't really change, no, but his attitude and understanding towards those ideals did. The whole first two parts were about Kaveh's conflicted nature regarding his goals and his sense of morals. He wanted to win to free himself from his own prior decisions, but he also was unwilling to compromise his ideals in pursuit of that goal. In the third part where he finally wins, he resolves that conflict in favor of his ideals. When sleep walker Layla (I havent done anyone's hangout yet so idk if she has another name) mentions the leylines and seeing them from on high, I think its also a nod to how a teen found out that Egyptian landmarks were built specifically to map out certain constellations. The Great pyramids of Giza for example, were mapped for Orion's Belt and following the path of the sun, the Sphynx, was following the Leo. (Not sure of the origin of what the name of the Leo was in Arabic) Alot of ancient civilizations did map out their towns and important building based off their interpretations of constellations, it would be cool if Genshin had that in other nations but ya know🤷🏾
And also what Sachin was talking about how he knew someone similar to Kaveh was POSSIBLY Kaveh's father and with that Kaveh's father wasn't as strong enough to completely work with what Sachin is trying to accomplish
A lot of teleport waypoints also form constellations of characters when traced together. For example, the waypoints around wangshu inn form xiao’s constellation when linked together
so i saw somewhere that all the archons names are inspired from like the kings of hell (morax, barbados, baal) and paimon is also the name of a king from hell.....
Yep! From the Ars Goetia if I'm not mistaken, from Christianity. It's very intriguing and apparently other translations of the word 'Archon' can also be 'Demon Gods', which includes gods such as the 7, Havria, GuiZhong, Marchosious (or however you spell his name), Oribashi and others.
2:15:39 i think it was dori who scammed him and hes still paying the dept, dori is the owner of that palace he build, the first time they built it (with dori's own money" ,it got ruined since they built it on a withering zone nearby. now kaveh has to pay for it
slight correction, Kaveh's 4th character story explains that he persuaded Dori to let him build it in its current location. During its contruction, the withering destroyed it, Kaveh asked Dori to let him start over and finish it, but Dori was mad cause he was the one who insisted on building it there. So he sold his house, used that money, his savings, and Dori covering some of the cost, he restarted the project.
I wouldn't call it a scam contrary to the popular belief. Kaveh simply hated Dori for being obssessed with Mora. Kaveh losing his money while building the Palace is justifiable since it got destroyed by the Withering.
3:37:21 it could be Essentialism (the idea that life has inherent meaning and purpose)!! absurdism share the beliefs with nihilism about life being meaningless; but absurdism is about the infliction of meaning creating a conflict of view between people about the world that does not change whatever the vision/ideal/opinion so like, it's meaningless because no matter what you think/believe, the world "is the way it is"

I might be wrong but y'all can correct me if I'm incorrect.
About Xiao having Sumeru ties...I always knew he looked too Sumeru-ish when I compared him to the Liyue and Sumeru characters. His design basically screams Sumeru and his "oni" mask be Inazuma-looking.
his mask is not an oni mask (which is japanese) but a chinese nuo mask, it’s like a folk exorcism ritual that features dance. they published an article about xiaos design like two years ago when he came out if u google it
Scara be calling everyone weak but he’s probably the only one with mommy issues like Tignari doesn’t, Cyno doesn’t, Layla doesn’t, Kaveh slightly does, Alheithem doesn’t, Nilou doesn’t, Faruzan doesn’t, I’m pretty sure he’s the MAIN persin with mommy issues in the event. (ofc i may be wrong idk most sumeru’s characters backstories)
I wasn't too thrilled with how the end of this quest line worked out. Kaveh giving all that wealth to the poor and needy sadly won't end their plight. Say all the money went to helping the people of Aru Village. What would happen to them once the money ran out? They would be in an even worse position than if they hadn't received anything at all. (The wrap-up portion of FF14's Stormblood expansion explores this idea in greater detail.) It would be far better to invest in infrastructure to better enable them to survive on their own. The quest with the Golden Sumeru Rose demonstrates just how hard it is to grow anything in the desert. Hiring the eremites to clear out and protect one of the many monster infested Oasis and setting up a farm would satisfy their desperate need for self-sustaining agriculture, clean water, and provide an honest living for eremites who would rather wash dirt off their hands instead of blood.
well, it was never clearly really stated how the money was used to help the poor. it may have been used as you wanted it, to help them start an economy and for agriculture
@@sourfar it's sadly a limitation of the limited time event structure of Genshin Impact. Whatever the event does, it has to be done in a way that has zero lasting impact on any of the characters.
Isn't it actually fleshed out a bit in Kaveh's hangout? It's not just going to poor families, but community investment like libraries and other facilities. Yeah, no amount of money is infinite, but with proper planning and development, a community can get to a place where they don't *need* outside money to be flourishing.
The question of why only 6 people are present at the final is : they cannot add more people because the switch version will not handle so much people charging in the background
We don't know what happened to Sachin to make him start to neglect his son what I would like to know if the son is working or was he just sitting around waiting on an inheritance if it's the latter then maybe that's why his father decided to give away the money (just a thought)
Not really sure if it's sentient tbh. There's no such mention of Mehrak being sentient on Kaveh's hangout or his character story, all the essential info we had on it is that Kaveh bought a machine core (that came from Deshret's era) and used it as a tool for his job. It seems to understand and react to Kaveh's emotions though but they can't respond
When you fullfil a certain set of prerequisites during his Mondstadt daily, you'll eventually unlock a follow up quest after which he gets transferred to Sumeru

I enjoyed the sigh at Cynos joke of dry humor.
Sumeru event was the best event that Genshin ever had. It was really fun and I actually enjoyed playing it and paid attention to was was going on instead of just clicking through the dialogues and skipping just to get my primos, which is what I usually do with the other events. I also enjoyed Kaveh hangout (I clicked through all other hangouts cause none of them was enjoyable, well maybe Faruzan's hangout was ok, but other than that all other hangouts were meh).
I love this event so much because I find myself pondering a lot of the same questions posed in this event. Also, I really resonate with Nahida on her views of how the truth cannot be completely understood by one individual, makes me happy that at least one person in Hoyoverse was feeling rather existential. Also, any character angst is always appreciated, especially if they're either an objectively good character or one of the archons.
4:19:54 I had the same response at wanderer giving up against nahida lol, these two are such an unlikely but likable dynamic
i think kaveh must learn about "luck" from bennet
Event is about the college in Sumeru, and both students and alumni are allowed to participate.
"Why is Layla here, isn't she just a college student?"
So, I think Scara CAN eat and drink but he doesn't have to. Same with Ei, who uses Raiden Shogun's body.
Him thinking Scara was dumb is so puzzling to me bc what made him think that??? Nothing indicates that he’d be stupid…😅😅😅
nothing showed him as a genius either lol, in fact, he even fell for the fatui’s plan as him only being a test subject
@@sourfar I didn't imply he was a genius, I'm just saying nothing in canon points to him being so dumb he can't write😭??? At worst, he was naive lol
@@sourfarLol, Are the Fatui supposed to get a medal for manipulating what was essentially a " newborn" puppet? Gimme a break .
@@HertaThe83thGenius he wasn’t a newborn? if anything, he was just susceptible from his other betrayals
@@sourfar He literally was given a nickname for his lack of knowledge about the human world. It's not that hard to manipulate someone like that, lol.
Here's how i figure what happens with the limited time events. The events happen, but our participation in them is not cannon... unless we do.
Around 21:53 the joke is a pun right?it’s always rice to meat stew again=it’s always nice to meet friends again, right?
Friends makes more sense, but the wordplay for "meat stew" is probably "meet you". But yah it is a clever word play
I think the issue was that he had no idea what Biryani was. Cyno just randomly talked about food in his perspective

I rlly enjoyed this event, the cutscene was incredible and i love all the characters and their personalities and interactions. Don't understand how some ppl didnt like it
Kaveh went from funny broke kid getting bullied by Alhaitham to an idealistic philanthropist. Wow.
I laughed so much during this, your comments are gold, especially your comments when kaveh is giving cyno the card and when you're upset at not going shopping with girls😂😂😂😂 Aether looking at Paymon with that loong pause and... "I changed my mind Pompom is better"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think I can't watch anyone play something that has Alhaitham and Kaveh cuz I wouldn't shut up about how much I love the two 😭
FR
real I can NOT!! tolerate any hate against them
@@sourfar exactly. I'm too attached to them and I'm already a sensitive lil' bish to begin with so 😂
@@jetaimesooshi Then you must really hate it when they're mean to each other
@@PichuElric No because I know how their relationship is?
When sleep walker Layla (I havent done anyone's hangout yet so idk if she has another name) mentions the leylines and seeing them from on high, I think its also a nod to how a teen found out that Egyptian landmarks were built specifically to map out certain constellations. The Great pyramids of Giza for example, were mapped for Orion's Belt and following the path of the sun, the Sphynx, was following the Leo. (Not sure of the origin of what the name of the Leo was in Arabic)
Alot of ancient civilizations did map out their towns and important building based off their interpretations of constellations, it would be cool if Genshin had that in other nations but ya know🤷🏾
And also what Sachin was talking about how he knew someone similar to Kaveh was POSSIBLY Kaveh's father and with that Kaveh's father wasn't as strong enough to completely work with what Sachin is trying to accomplish
Smart people be like
A lot of teleport waypoints also form constellations of characters when traced together. For example, the waypoints around wangshu inn form xiao’s constellation when linked together
3:26:18 How did he not notice Kaveh getting hit in the balls?
out of everything this is what u focus on 😭
Isn’t that his waist?
@@sourfarLMFAO-
That hangout event stream is sth I NEED to see.
Very unfortunate that many skipped this event...
Yeah. It's definitely one of the more entertaining ones. And the interactions are pretty cool.
I only did cuz i quit genshin at the time
24:30 this is so Cyno of him , I love it 😭
so i saw somewhere that all the archons names are inspired from like the kings of hell (morax, barbados, baal) and paimon is also the name of a king from hell.....
So Cino and Candace are really Yugi-Oh references. Well, at least Cino, since he acts like Yami Yugi when someone challenges him to a game.
I'm 100% renaming my Wanderer now
2:15:39 i think it was dori who scammed him and hes still paying the dept, dori is the owner of that palace he build, the first time they built it (with dori's own money" ,it got ruined since they built it on a withering zone nearby. now kaveh has to pay for it
slight correction, Kaveh's 4th character story explains that he persuaded Dori to let him build it in its current location.
Missed opportunity for event name to be “putting genshin characters into their hogwarts house (gray colors are muggles) and playing quidditch”
3:37:21 it could be Essentialism (the idea that life has inherent meaning and purpose)!! absurdism share the beliefs with nihilism about life being meaningless; but absurdism is about the infliction of meaning creating a conflict of view between people about the world that does not change whatever the vision/ideal/opinion
so like, it's meaningless because no matter what you think/believe, the world "is the way it is"
it's been fifteen minutes and now I'm in a rabbit hole of articles about the philosophy schools for the next month, thank you bwapp👋😔
4:08:02
He says that but they did change his card back during Windblume after Albedo did the art iirc. 😅
1:05:08 imma let you in on some interesting facts bwaap. 🤓 According to what my teacher said, Japanese People are like that, for example when the clock hits 8:00am they instantly start the meeting instead of waiting for the others who are late for the meeting, therefore all of them have to be in the office meeting before 8:00am hits. I might be wrong but y'all can correct me if I'm incorrect.
Oh bwaap! We missed you so much 🎉❤❤❤
Noooo ahahaha i was tearing my hair when u pick the option to tell kaveh the sachin🤣🤣🤣
"we just have to beat u up again" lil bro forgot traveler nor he were ever gonna beat him
About Xiao having Sumeru ties...I always knew he looked too Sumeru-ish when I compared him to the Liyue and Sumeru characters.
His design basically screams Sumeru and his "oni" mask be Inazuma-looking.
Yo????
his story said his previous master fought zhongli over territory so, not impossible
his mask is not an oni mask (which is japanese) but a chinese nuo mask, it’s like a folk exorcism ritual that features dance. they published an article about xiaos design like two years ago when he came out if u google it
Scara be calling everyone weak but he’s probably the only one with mommy issues
like Tignari doesn’t, Cyno doesn’t, Layla doesn’t, Kaveh slightly does, Alheithem doesn’t, Nilou doesn’t, Faruzan doesn’t, I’m pretty sure he’s the MAIN persin with mommy issues in the event.
(The wrap-up portion of FF14's Stormblood expansion explores this idea in greater detail.)
It would be far better to invest in infrastructure to better enable them to survive on their own.
@@dogishappy0 yeah, exactly. like the mona and scara event that was mentioned in 1.1 and never again.
@@Cobalt360Degrees I haven't done any hangouts, I'll have to check it out!

4:11:14 Ayo what are those cats doing💀
KAVEH IS THE PEOPLES PRINCESS
Cows are where horses are... in no-model limbo. And we know for fact that there ARE horses from manga.
For me, it was all fun and joy until I got in touch with Sachin's research and Kaveh's past, I'm too weak to this kind of "knowledge".
The question of why only 6 people are present at the final is : they cannot add more people because the switch version will not handle so much people charging in the background
The fact is that water is in the air that's how Kitara was able to use water outside
Fine to see best event...finally.
Great, as well!
2:03:12 I mean anyone can beat Cyno at TCG if they're aggro enough.
Even me.
And boy was my deck insufficient so I gave up. I don't even wanna recount the defeats. 😢
Good rando plot armor luck tho! 😅
I was able to beat him in the Windblume festival... On the third match.😅
3:52:52 lmao, this was my exact reaction. I wanted to go shopping with the girlies too!
NOT HIM CHOOSING POM POM BWAAHAHAHAHA
Please do the hanhouts, some are really good (Heizou and Faruzan are the best ones)
Dont forget layla hangout, for me it's the best hangout i have played so far.
We don't know what happened to Sachin to make him start to neglect his son what I would like to know if the son is working or was he just sitting around waiting on an inheritance if it's the latter then maybe that's why his father decided to give away the money (just a thought)
if you wouldn't do the dori side quest you would get an extra interaction with alhaitham and kaveh at the end
Or choosing the don’t mention the results
bwaap thinking scaramouche is a dumb one is soooo funny to me like lore wise bro has genius level intellect 😭

This event was a lot of fun it’s also fun to watch other people play. 😊
2:10:35 What?? That briefcase is sentient?? So it's like Kaveh's familiar??
S a cat. Mehral s a cat
Love this event way so much ngl

-Cyno is a SUPER nerd 😂.
-Nahida is the adoptive mother of Don Sombrero.
-Dori is evil XD.
-Kaveh is a Disney princess ❤.
-Sachin was a parody of Cinderella in a certain sense lol

Ngl Iow-key ship Kaveh with either Layla or Faruzan.
Mah boy is hitting Razor levels of wholesome.
Oh and Nilou too.
Bloom duo.
I want to lean more on Layla, because they are both sweet hearts.
But I think Faruzan is a better fit, cause she can ground Kaveh in reality, and scold maybe even scold him, without being an ass like with Alhaitham.
I NEED a voiced event or story quest where he and Bennett meet. Please. Or if there are any fanfictions that have this duo, please tell me. I need my Kaveh content.
