I love her from the core of my being! For everything that she is and represents and owns and expresses and her crystal clear viewpoints. Listening to her for sure is a non-traditional meditation for me
Totally agree.
Filter Coffee: The coffee maker puts it cup and uses his other hand to put it in another cup...and keep repeating to make froth. So authentic filter coffee has froth on top!!!
Tell me, Who did her HALALA? 😅
Tell me Who did her HALALA 😅
This particular episode of yours made me subscribe to your channel. Although I am quite unsure why is it so difficult to directly comment on your video (instead of choosing to do the same on a viewer's reply section).
This anchor seems to live under a rock. He does not seem to have any knowledge of his own, and therefore everything surprises him.
😅. Yes. Same with beer biceps. Everything is latest news
@@mini3460so true. This host has very poor conversation skills, beer bicep guy is actually very immature and inexperienced.
Tune theatre play Kiya h kya kai saalon tak?
Your comment carries an undertone of elitism and a belief in the superiority of knowledge. Even if the host (Vaibhav) has a zero content knowledge base, he has the right to learn and understand various perspectives, including content recommendations from the guests. I strongly dislike individuals who intentionally mock and degrade content creators instead of uplifting them for their strengths.
With focus Arjun achieved impossible things when he was still in his twenties. And after all this he has 100 more years to live free
Which time point in the video

Thanks @@samsid504
Thank you so much. Wanted to get the context to see if missed anything. Can't believe the point she is making.
1:08:45
@1:08:55 Ratna Pathak talks about Arjun ki Ankh. Arjun didn't miss the beauty of jungle. He was practicing archery not site seeing. In archery you have to have Lakshya Shuddhi.
When Ratna Pathak goes to Olympics Archery competition, she will not focus on the Bulls-eye which is to be shot at but will see whole stadium saying 'Oh, why ek hi lakshya jab itna sundar aur bada stadium is there!" and will shoot arrows everywhere!😂
Perhaps you missed out the conversation. She's actually appreciating an illustration drawn by a painter.
@@rm3015 her conversation is anti-Hindu, to discredit everything Hindu. She married a Thurak admi whose ancestors killed Hindus and destroyed Hindu Mandirs.
@@Summerblur @Summerblur you completely missed that Arjun's Ankh does not fit into this narrative about life. Don't defend for defending sake because you don't understand the point.
She is well known woke liberal and anti-hindu. That is why she uses Arjun's lakshya as an example without realising it does not fit here.
@@Bhadruduhmm, this so called fanboys will defend anything for their idol actors
Ratna Pathak Shah is one of the most amazing actors I have seen and has been able to create her own unique identity while growing and living around other great actors in her family. She has so much to offer in this interview as an artist. But unfortunately, some people as I see in the comments got stuck to just that one thing about Arjun that she said. Shows the incapability of people being able to look through the perspective of an artist who doesn't necessarily think alike and that's what makes her different from others.
And I love the way Vaibhav laughs.
For you just an actress and her "wanna be intellectual stupid talks" matter more than actual history and life lesson.
👏👏
That one english literature professor that we need😭
Tell me Who did her HALALA 😅
Sanghi terrorist, she is happy.@@R_Sanatani
You*
You need her. We don't need an ignorant person like her. Today every second person is able to speak English fluently.
Why is this host making strange noises, when responding..?
He's a dolphin
Her knowledge and intellect is beyond his understanding and ability.
@@rm3015😂😂
Overacting ker raha hai .
Jo usese ho nahi rahi😂
Is that all that you took away from the conversation? Sad
One of the best interviews of Ratna Pathak Shah. Was skeptical initially on reading the comments, but I'm so glad I stayed on to discover the gem this interview truly is! Great questions, great answers! Kudos to the host❤❤
She is phenomenal. Would love to have her as my literature guide
People who are talking about her point on the Arjuna part.. let me share my point of view about what I think she probably meant to say.
Arjuna was not the only one who became successful and achieved his goal. There were multiple other characters like his other siblings who also reached their goals at the end. The wisdom of Mahabharata is all about living your life aligned with Dharma by following your own path of karma. At the end everyone reaches the same destination. Definitely she didn't need to explain her point any further. Lastly I want to say, what a passionate conversation about cinema. Loved it and Ratna Pathak mam is just awesome ❤️
@chalchitra team - let's please work towards collaring all the recommendations and references in the description. Your work is phenomenal but it's painful to go back and scrub the episode for that one movie/book the guest suggested.
Keep up the great work, it's amazing to be a following the great work you do.
As per Ratna Pathak Shah, Arjun was focused on hitting the bird's eye and spent 100 years on focusing on that eye and missed out on beauty of nature...etc. 😭😭
Let's forget about Arjun now.
Sachin Tendulkar was so focused on becoming the best batter in the world that he missed out on nature's beauty. Was it worth it for Sachin Tendulkar?
Neeraj Chopra was so focused on winning Gold Medal in Olympics that he missed out in nature's beauty. Was it worth it for Neeraj Chopra?
Ratna Pathak Shah is an avg actress who did not achieve anything remarkable in life but she enjoyed nature's beauty. Was it worth it for Ratna Pathak Shah?
To each their own
What to each there own , it's a dumb thing she said.. Virat Kohli missed out on so many things because he focused on ball made century@@shaktibhat7601 bruh stop the celebrity asslicking
yes
Seems people are here to nitpick. Listen to what she says about the book.
Solid bro!
Aargh , so jealous he got to spend so much quality time with her ! Though truth be told I'd just be dumbstruck around her 😛
Another gem from an 'intellectual' - Ratna Pathak says that Arjuna missed out on the beautiful nature around him while focussing on the bird's eye. Was that worth it?
-- Well I believe, if we were to ask the man whose one of 10 names came to be as "Vijay" - the embodiment of victory itself, the one person who satisfied Rudra in battle, who had a dilema so great, that led to the revealing of the Bhagavad Gita, the man who could attain the status of a sakha to Narayan himself and the man who the lord identifies as, among pandavas - पाण्डवानां धनञ्जय:, he'd definitely say - yes it was definitely worth it.
The curse of being an intellectual is real.
Great answer
Arjun was living in the forest for so long so he definitely did not miss the forest. When he focused his eyes on the aim it was needed in order to get the victory otherwise he would have failed. Focus on the aim/goal is very important when we want to achieve something.
I find Ratna Pathak to be tremendously talented and such a fine human being. She’s so well read and she has so much integrity and respect for herself. I love the way she carries herself. I wish to find a friend like her. Much love and respect from Pakistan. ❤
Arjuna used to live in that forest so missing surroundings is like missing traffic while living in Bangalore. Mam, we do need to focus while performing given task at hand and enjoy surroundings rest of the time.
What is with the anchor! Why is every sentence so amazing for him that he has achieved nirvaana 😂
Wth ...Arjuna literally lived in jungle for 12 years. 😂....koi inko batao he wasnt just looking into that birds eye for 12 years. 🤣😂🤷🏼♂️
The next time she boards a flight from Mumbai to Delhi, I want the pilot to follow her philosophy 🙌.
Why go to Delhi when you can land in any city?
इसे कहते है लेफ्ट लिबरल सोच 😄😄
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
This was bulls eye..
I feel each person has their own point of view, but the great part about ratna ji is she is firm n expressive about her point
How to prove that this is an amazingly engaging interview? The fact that I was nodding and exclaimed 'YESS!! ' a couple of times while listening to both of you. I truly enjoyed it. Keep up the good work. #monisha
She can be whatever she likes and we love and adore her forever ❤
Even though she is just getting into podcast but she se got the jist of it bang. podcast are an evolved form of live radio started by Howard Stern
She has such an elegant way of speaking, both in Hindi and English. I loved her performance in Khoobsurat.
I can't comprehend the stupidity of these people and their followers. The story of Arjun shows that you will even fight your family to protect the Dharma for the greater good.
Can you time stamp that Arjun segment?
Kauravas were greedy, deceptive, and just wanted power in any case. Duryodhana used Shakuni against Yudhisthira and took everything from him. That's why Krishna was on Arjun's side and gave "updesh" to Arjun where he talks about Karma.
Sorry for the confusion, but I know the real story as you very well narrated from Mahabharat by Vyasa. I wanted the time stamp when Ratna Shah talks of that in this interview. I surfed through but couldn't find it and didn't have the patience to listen to all the conversation.

Dude your hmmmmms are thoda sa irritating to listen i mean i feel sometimes they are not the right reaction for something the guest says i love u guys for what u are doing and wish to be like u but that hmmmss are thoda sa misplaced yaaar
One of the most entertaining and educational podcast from chalchitra talks! Love you Ratna mam! ❤
An interesting depiction of the theatre is ‘Drive My Car’.

I like her work in Sarabai.
इस कमेंट सेक्शन को पढ़कर कोई समझ सकता है कि हिंदुत्व और फ़ासीवादियों ने इस देश में कितना उन्माद पैदा कर दिया है।

Great interview/podcast. One thing that could have made it better is if the anchor would not have said hmmm, ahhh oooo.. all the time. It breaks the flow as a listener. This advice is more of a request please. :)

Loved the episode. Though You make these weird noises when she speaks is quite irritating.

Looking fit and lovely. God Bless
She made me realise the need of culture to be taught as education ❤️
# Monisha.......oh , this is magnificently good interms of general long interviews.... Because I am a bibliophile so for me specially the literary recommendation part was the best.
Keep doing this good works for us🌼.
this episod is extra Rare of your all … !!!! ❤❤
she is an intelligent n experienced person
thank you soo much for this interview... I get goosebumps everytime i hear a ratnaji interview. It is so good to be stimulated by thoughts that never came to your mind in the first place
i wanted to ask for some help about ratnaji's play if possible...
do you have a facebook group or any kind of social media presence where the plays are announced in advance?
I live in USA and would like to plan a trip to mumbai accordingly. That's why having a social group or something I can follow would really help.
The host could do more than Random Hmms and Yeahhs.
Ratnaji is an encyclopedia can listen to her all day 🫶🏽
Nd become dumb like her
Sirf dedh ghanta ka interview...should have been atleast 10 hrs....❤
She’s always a treat to listen to, what a beautiful conversation full of lots of lovely recommendations. Could listen to her for hours and hours.
The book of a Gond artist she mentioned while talking about Arjun missing out rest of the things while aiming for birds eye might be ‘Creation’ by Bhajju Shyam
I have rarely commented on any video ever... But THIS one warranted ONE... And it has nothing to do with the brilliant Ratna Pathak Shah... I think you should come and live in the US, ESPECIALLY New England... And THEN you might appreciate WHITE lights!
She's one unique personality, it was a treat listening her talk
Her body language is so adorable 🌠
Yarr mast episode tha.
Looking for that 1 comment where I'll get notes of this episode 😂😂
Always a pleasure watching her talking..can't get enough of her.. Such a unique personality she is..

Was planning to watch Roshomon for a couple of days. That's my sign.
1:08:55 Are koi ise batao ki Arjun us jungle mein rha krte the Gurukul ke time mein bhla unhine kuchh exolore kaise nhin kiya higa 🤦🏻♀️. Yhi hota hai mahabharat n pdhne ka nateeja.
Agreed. He can definitely build better conversational skills.
Please bring JAI SINGH ( Old School Bastard) on the show trust me you will love him
Hum sab logo baat to Arjun ke laksha aur ekagrata ki kar rahe hain, lekin yeh dekhte hue hamara lakshya aur ekagrata kahan hai pata nahin...its all over the place except on meaningful content and good takeaways.
I am surprised that people have focussed on one piece of the conversation and started commenting on the guest and her abilities and achievements. But what she has talked about theatre, the improv technique, talks about her genuine experience as a theatre artist. I say this with experience of working on stage that Someone who doesn't have theatre experience would not have such great and in-depth observation about a technique.
Each to its own. You are doing the same so thing. So Chill
What are her favourite movies?
30:26 Nice to know someone has heard about May & Nichols
Yaar she is so cute I can listen to her all day! Naseer sir too!

Yeah I have watched Kutch Express and what a acting and amazing dialogues by Raam Mori ❤❤

Well I would like to enlighten this actor with the things the mighty Arjuna was able to achieve with his focus, & those are as follows-
(1) Mastery in archery: He became an unparalleled archer, capable of hitting targets with extraordinary precision even under challenging circumstances.
(2) Success in battles: Arjuna's focus on his training and skills made him a formidable warrior on the battlefield, leading to numerous victories in the Mahabharata war.
(3) Fulfillment of his duties: His focus helped him fulfill his duties as a warrior and prince, protecting his kingdom and upholding righteousness.
(4) Spiritual enlightenment: Through his dialogue with Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna attained spiritual wisdom and understanding, transcending the dilemmas of life and gaining clarity on his path and purpose.
If you don't cleary know about the sacred history, don't manipulate it as per your own mind.
Are you deaf? She’s mentioning someone ELSE’s interpretation. Maybe listen to the interview first before writing an essay in the comments.
OMG!! Ratna Ma’am ! Love you from core of my heart! Extraordinary actress n fashion stylist 🎉❤
Jo nakhra hai apki har Adaa mei, really unbeatable 🫶🏻
The elegance she is shrouded in😭 I wish I had even an ounce of it. She has been my role model for eloquent speech, panache and wit since I was only a 6-y/o kid back in 2006, with SvS being my absolute favourite.
Till this day, I only subscribe to hotstar just to be able to revisit this ONE show. Absolute class 💯
It was so irritating whenever he sai "Mereko" ya "Meko" i just hate it. It's "Mujhe" and then these ppl are so obsessed with Hindustani shayari attends Rekhta's shows.Call themselves literature lover.Shame !
Can someone list the books she mentioned ?
Why this podcast is not on spotify..
I could listen to her forever! 💕
In the Arjun's perspective, I can clearly sense that she didn't mean to negate or disrespect what the ideal lakshya saadhna theory has been taught to us since centuries, through Arjun's example. She just wanted to point out the sacrifices one has to make to chase that one lakshya like Arjun did. That's all!! Geeta ka uchchatam gyaan apni jgaah sahi, surakshit, aur undoubtedly sahi hai. Don't fall for this misunderstanding that she pointed out anything on purpose. Everyone has the right to present perspectives. All it takes is to respect the other side, which she clearly did. We can welcome her thoughts too without any harm.
Why are you justifying her Whats the point then you can clearly see her other interviews she always use to demean culture and show off her like and intellectual which she definitely is not. I mean if there is need of justifying or defining an intellectual then they are idiots
Ratna Pathak totally obscures the interviewer who really needs to learn even if a little from her in his communication skills - such a contrast between them .... need for better interviewer . Please get someone better- hats off to Ratnaji ❤
Perhaps that would make it more of a conversation rather than an interview. I must admit Naseer and Ratna would make for a great conversation. That said, there is power in vulnerability, to surrender to what the other has to say, this creates a softness where thought is more expansive and the experience more wholesome.
bro, your comment has ghatiya english and indicates a person trying to use words they don't truly know.
So true.

Arjun’s analogy is totally bullshit…for example in modern day archer focuses on the bull’s eye. He or she doesn’t focus on the ambience around the ground.
