@1:08:55 Ratna Pathak talks about Arjun ki Ankh. Arjun didn't miss the beauty of jungle. He was practicing archery not site seeing. In archery you have to have Lakshya Shuddhi. Arjun was living in the forest for so long so he definitely did not miss the forest. When he focused his eyes on the aim it was needed in order to get the victory otherwise he would have failed. Focus on the aim/goal is very important when we want to achieve something.

Another gem from an 'intellectual' - Ratna Pathak says that Arjuna missed out on the beautiful nature around him while focussing on the bird's eye. Was that worth it? -- Well I believe, if we were to ask the man whose one of 10 names came to be as "Vijay" - the embodiment of victory itself, the one person who satisfied Rudra in battle, who had a dilema so great, that led to the revealing of the Bhagavad Gita, the man who could attain the status of a sakha to Narayan himself and the man who the lord identifies as, among pandavas - पाण्डवानां धनञ्जय:, he'd definitely say - yes it was definitely worth it. Ratna Pathak Shah is one of the most amazing actors I have seen and has been able to create her own unique identity while growing and living around other great actors in her family. She has so much to offer in this interview as an artist. But unfortunately, some people as I see in the comments got stuck to just that one thing about Arjun that she said. Shows the incapability of people being able to look through the perspective of an artist who doesn't necessarily think alike and that's what makes her different from others. And I love the way Vaibhav laughs.
Also, the entire idea of a philosophical approach to art/stories is that we derive different meanings from what's told. We're free to feel differently about it. Very rarely will two people have exactly the same experience about art, neither will the thoughts that are triggered by it, be the same.

I can't comprehend the stupidity of these people and their followers. The story of Arjun shows that you will even fight your family to protect the Dharma for the greater good.
Kauravas were greedy, deceptive, and just wanted power in any case. Duryodhana used Shakuni against Yudhisthira and took everything from him. That's why Krishna was on Arjun's side and gave "updesh" to Arjun where he talks about Karma.
Sorry for the confusion, but I know the real story as you very well narrated from Mahabharat by Vyasa. I wanted the time stamp when Ratna Shah talks of that in this interview. I surfed through but couldn't find it and didn't have the patience to listen to all the conversation.
People who are talking about her point on the Arjuna part.. let me share my point of view about what I think she probably meant to say. Arjuna was not the only one who became successful and achieved his goal. There were multiple other characters like his other siblings who also reached their goals at the end. The wisdom of Mahabharata is all about living your life aligned with Dharma by following your own path of karma. At the end everyone reaches the same destination. Definitely she didn't need to explain her point any further. Lastly I want to say, what a passionate conversation about cinema. Loved it and Ratna Pathak mam is just awesome ❤️

1:09:52 Well I would like to enlighten this actor with the things the mighty Arjuna was able to achieve with his focus, & those are as follows- (1) Mastery in archery: He became an unparalleled archer, capable of hitting targets with extraordinary precision even under challenging circumstances. (2) Success in battles: Arjuna's focus on his training and skills made him a formidable warrior on the battlefield, leading to numerous victories in the Mahabharata war. (3) Fulfillment of his duties: His focus helped him fulfill his duties as a warrior and prince, protecting his kingdom and upholding righteousness. (4) Spiritual enlightenment: Through his dialogue with Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna attained spiritual wisdom and understanding, transcending the dilemmas of life and gaining clarity on his path and purpose. If you don't cleary know about the sacred history, don't manipulate it as per your own mind.
1:10:21 smartly change the topic..so that atleast he doesn't look stipid😂😂.. he responded there as per situation needed and shift the conversation smartly to whole different side.😂😂
Ratna Pathak totally obscures the interviewer who really needs to learn even if a little from her in his communication skills - such a contrast between them .... need for better interviewer . Please get someone better- hats off to Ratnaji ❤
Perhaps that would make it more of a conversation rather than an interview. I must admit Naseer and Ratna would make for a great conversation. That said, there is power in vulnerability, to surrender to what the other has to say, this creates a softness where thought is more expansive and the experience more wholesome.
#Monisha loved the whole interview! She is a woman of intellect and strong opinions, yet comes across as so simple and friendly! Must check out all the films and books she mentioned. For me the wow moment was what she shared about the Gond painter's perspective on Arjun and focus.

Well I would like to enlighten this actor with the things the mighty Arjuna was able to achieve with his focus, & those are as follows-
(1) Mastery in archery: He became an unparalleled archer, capable of hitting targets with extraordinary precision even under challenging circumstances.
Are you deaf? She’s mentioning someone ELSE’s interpretation. Maybe listen to the interview first before writing an essay in the comments.
I could listen to her forever! 💕
30:26 Nice to know someone has heard about May & Nichols
कोई इस मोहतरमा को समझा दो भाई,आँख पर सिर्फ लक्ष भेदने तक ही फोकस देना था, कुछ लोगो की अकल पर ना जाणे कौन ताले लगा कर बैठा है क्या पता?
1:10:21 smartly change the topic..so that atleast he doesn't look stipid😂😂.. he responded there as per situation needed and shift the conversation smartly to whole different side.😂😂
this episod is extra Rare of your all … !!!! ❤❤
That said, there is power in vulnerability, to surrender to what the other has to say, this creates a softness where thought is more expansive and the experience more wholesome.
bro, your comment has ghatiya english and indicates a person trying to use words they don't truly know.
So true.
#Monisha loved the whole interview! She is a woman of intellect and strong opinions, yet comes across as so simple and friendly! Must check out all the films and books she mentioned. For me the wow moment was what she shared about the Gond painter's perspective on Arjun and focus.
Please bring JAI SINGH ( Old School Bastard) on the show trust me you will love him
Arey nahi, mundi dhar ke upar bhi to chahiye.
Always a delight to hear her thoughts❤
Laugh track toh Friends me bhi bahut zyada hai!
I am just dying to see Imtiaz Ali on here
38:00 Best part

Thanks so so much chalchitratalks for these episodes. Absolutely loved it. #Monisha
Yarr mast episode tha.
She definitely misinterpreted the story of arjun
Ab ek anti hindu lomri Mahabharat explain karegi to dimag ka dahi hi karegi na
She is quoting a book illustrated by a painter. She is appreciating his prospective on Arjun.
Sometimes these are the enabling stories/perspectives for many youth who to "enjoy" the life and everything in early 20s end up spoiling the precious years in something unimportant leaving the goal or the ambition! And later in second half of their 20s they realise what they have missed and regret it their whole life !
It is always good to try and see things from various perspectives. It broadens minds and expands our understanding of various situations
khaťna pathak shah 😂
