    Thank you for sharing your story! I’m happy everything turned out fine 💙 I’m glad you spoke up about pre-eclampsia. I wanted to do the same 9 years ago when I had my daughter. I had actual eclampsia and had a seizure at 36 weeks because my pressure was high. The IV they gave me, gave me a terrible head ache. I was put to sleep so I didn’t get to see my baby born. I woke up and had no idea I had her or if she was ok. She came out 4lbs and was perfectly healthy! Two days later they told me I need emergency brain surgery due to swelling. I was so scared but turned out the swelling went down a few weeks later. I had to go back to the hospital because my pressure was 211/120 and doctors told me I was in stroke mode. I just prayed and listen to calm music and a few days later my pressure was slowly going down. It was so traumatic I would never forget. I was scared to have more kids because the doctor said it can happen again. I got pregnant again in 2020 and informed my doctor of my history and they kept a close eye on me with an at home pressure machine and baby aspirin. This pregnancy went full term and she came out perfectly fine and I had no pre-eclampsia. I’m glad you guys are doing well! I also stayed away from salt for a few months until my pressure was completely back normal. It’s not something you want to tell people to scare them but woman actually die from this and doctors don’t know why this happens. God bless you and your family 💗

      Hi Mercy thank you for sharing!! What a blessing I am so happy your two little ones are healthy! I also kept checking my BP postpartum. It really is so so important! I am so happy you are okay as well! I am nervous about having another because you just don't know when the pre eclampsia will strike again. But I have read about the baby asprin during pregnancy... how many mg did you take? If you dont mind me asking.

    • @mercyrose3317
      @mercyrose3317 2 роки тому

      @@Leximarcellaa It was 81mg once a day from when I was 3 months pregnant and stopped I believe a month or 2 before giving birth because it thins your blood. I also kept my pressure machine handy and checked at-least two times a day. It’s scary but being on top of it was helpful. They should also treat you as high-risk and priority. If not make sure you go to someone you feel cares about you being high risk and treat you as such.

    being a nicu mom is soo hard. sometimes i dread going to the hosptital to visit him just because it’s such an emotional toll , especially leaving without him everyday. i hate walking into the room and seeing a new cord or device on him without being updated first. i feel like im missing out on my baby’s life, especially as a first time mom. i just want him home. at the end of the day i love spending time with him but it’s been so draining as well.

      Yes! I had these same feelings. I actually stayed at the hotel some days rather than go see him so I could sleep and have a moment to not think about it, because it was so stressful for me and I cried every time we had to leave his room.

      @@abigail9791 reading this old comment is so crazy to me. my baby boy is now 4 months old and he’s home and he’s healthy. he was in the NICU for 3 weeks. we just recently got down nursing like a week ago.. other than that he hasn’t missed a milestone. i was lucky to have the hospital only ten minutes from our home

      @@thegoodwife144 our baby boy is healthy too. He is almost 10 months old. I try not to think of those days because I always end up crying. It's wild that I felt numb through the experience and just did what I had to do. Looking back it was such a stressful time. But now I am happy and healthy and baby is too. I am glad you are doing well!

      @@abigail9791 yes, i also try to not think of the NICU too hard, especially now that i am pregnant again and due to give birth this month. i am PRAYING that i will never have to experience that trauma again. i am so thankful that my first born has no lasting complications from the pneumonia he developed at birth. he is a very healthy boy. currently learning to walk. the only “sickness” he’s gotten so far has been a snotty nose. 🙌🏾

    As someone who went through spontaneous preterm labor that resulted in an emergency c-section due to the baby being breech without us knowing… I really appreciate you sharing your story. I see all of these “positive” birth stories that I used to watch prior to giving birth pop up, and I can’t bring myself to watch them because I feel like I missed out on the birth that I wanted for myself and my baby. Also I appreciate the part of your story about your NICU experience as well. Our baby girl was only in the NICU for 5 days due to feeding and blood sugar issues, but having to spend my entire hospital stay and 2 days at home pumping every 3 hours without her right next to me was hard. So seriously, thank you for sharing this.

    I had my fifth baby on 8/9/2021 at the age of 44. She was born at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia and IUGR. She weighed 3 lbs 3 ozs, 15 inches long and spent 3 1/2 weeks in the NICU. I had preeclampsia with my prior two kids as well. I got hospitalized at 33 weeks 5 days. Immediately put on magnesium sulfate and stayed on it til 24 hrs after delivery. I see we had our baby days apart!
