I applaud your venture into deep pf the country. Am more than 40 years and halobe in kenya whole my life but youve been able to go where i haven't stepped foot. Congratulations you've earned my subscription.
My mother is from this region she always told me stories how my grandmother was from Tanzania Bantu people now makes sense how some Bantu tribes were assimilated into Nilotic luo that’s why most luo from this region homabay, migori and all the islands are predominantly farmers that’s was their way of life originating from Congo Tanzania Uganda and little groups from Rwanda and Burundi
this guy just opened up the Western Tourism Circuit to the world single handedly he is so much in love with the place and interacts with locals at the same level have been watching your videos and you are an inspiration. You need to visit one of the Islands.
I love how far and wide you have travelled through my beloved country you have challenged me to travel and explore more. You are amazing, love you for that. Great Content.
I appreciate your adventure to Mbeti/Rusinga. My late father was from Siaya County, Gem constituency. So as a term of endearment one could be referred to as Nya (insert the ancestral area). I would be Nya-Gem 😂 I am familiar with the Ghana naming by the days of the week, but Luos also name around events at birth like Akoth/Okoth (born during rainfall), Akomo/Okomo born during planting/prosperity, Okello/Akello born after twins etc. So it's not just naming morning, noon or night 😂 I wish that the Luo community could be allowed to create a strong fishing industry/corporation, with environmental sustainability in mind of course. You will find Luo cousins in your travels to Uganda (e.g. Acholi) as well 👍🏾 Safe travels nwanne m nwoke ✌🏾
Luos has always fought against government oppression (we have our own Biafra lol, although Biafra was so big )most of Luo land is overlooked by the government as a way to punish the people
@@KNTshows you've been to the West, the coast, now it's time to head to central and northwards but I wouldn't suggest north Eastern for security reasons... Go to turukana and explore our oil fields, go to chelbi desert, visit Mt. Kenya and it's surrounding, go explore the abadare ranges and much more

thats the tactic raila uses to control luos the fact is nyanza is not marginalized in anyway and it has better infrastructure than most places even in central and they like vandalizing like that bridge
@@njorogehumphrey5554 I am not here to argue with foolish Kenyans who have no clue about politics.Don’t use bland games here my friend.Politics is for people who are educated not fools.Kenyans have no clue about politics they play tribalism and think they know politics.Tribalism is for the small minded people.Stay small minded !!
@@njorogehumphrey5554😂😂tactics he has used to control or to bargain? Imagine in the same sentence you put ‘control’ and ‘more than’ central. It is ironic despite the fact that Central has produced three presidents. Luos are smart and not kondoos like Kikuyus. Baba has helped them to grab a piece of meat in every regime, while Kikuyus are controlled by the elites, while the majority are so poor.
That is a narrative by your politicians which you swallow hook line and sinker. The infrastructure and general well being of Luo Nyanza is more or less other parts of Kenya.

Nwache You are the best traveller so far, showing uniqueness
You define the true meaning of adventure. Some of this virgin places are a gem but people prefer flocking in places where the path is well beaten.

South Nyanza Luos in Mbita and Rusinga are from Uganda bantu refugees who got assimilated into Luo culture and language, which is Nilotic

Am Kenyan but have never known a place like this exist in Nyanza.
Most Kenyans have no idea of these places
Small mature fish is called dagaa the natives there call it Omena
Raha is fun so "Mbita-rahaa"
The small fish is dagaa or omena
Since you are here, you may wanna visit the smallest, most populated island in the world called Migingo. Ask the locals

Similar to the Spanish and Latin pronouns ... A is feminine while O is masculine
The Mbita guy pronouced Bird correctly, it should be pronouced as BURD.
The guy ... didn't know how to explain clans.... that's what he was trying to express, when talking about Luo....have little tribes " ...!
Kisumu Kenya is like Igbo land the government has always overlooked luo Nyanja due to political biases and hate of the people.
Punguza bhangi...vitu vya bedroom unatoa aje nje...Wacha uwana
