My youngest son explained to me recently that saint Michael the Archangel is going to come and defeat the demons and then Jesus will come and defeat the small demons which are all the evil people. Seems children sense supernatural battle

@@angelalemos9811 there is no official ranking but today yes some say so, however Joseph's name was not even in the Mass until 1962. Michael was a saint even many Jews revered before Christ which means even the apostles may have prayed for his help as we do and even talked with our Lord about him. As Marian devotion grew so did Joseph's as an extension (Michael and Peter were once de facto patrons of the Church) but I see the names in the Mass as a good general guide to how we should see them. And there is providence in that he is addressed just after our Lady in low Mass--which is a prayer addressed to God alone
@@semperxian I realize that the only ranking was God first then Mary no doubt, but they also didn't talk much about st. Joseph which is why they never thought of it that way. He was and still today is a hidden saint in a way. Plus when it comes to ranking at least the most important they don't look at the things that you mentioned such as who was more popular at a time, after all Saint Joseph was married to the virgin and he raised the Christ child among many others things which Michael did not. I am far closer to saint Michael than st Joseph and even though it never ceases to shock me that a human can be regarded like that over an angel. I see the logic

Could the Restrainer in end times be St. Michael the Archangel or St. Joseph since Joseph is the protector of the Holy Family Patron Saint of the Universal Catholic Church. In the 4th century the Restrainer held back pagan Rome so the Catholic Church could be built up. This Year of St. Joseph ends Dec 8th.

I would like to share a theological theory that came to my mind some months ago. In Daniel ch12 vs 5 it reads, " And I Daniel looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river. It came to my mind before I was aware of this passage that Saint Michael, Saint Elias and Saint John the Baptist are the same being but three distinct persons fully that being each in themselves. In Kings 4 ch2 vs9-10 it reads, And when they were gone over, Elias said to Eliseus: Ask what thou wilt have me to do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Eliseus said: I beseech thee that in me may be thy double spirit. And he answered: Thou hast asked a hard thing. Nevertheless if thou see me when I am taken from thee, thou shalt have what thou hast asked: but if thou see me not, thou shalt not have it.
In Saint Luke ch1 vs17 it reads regarding Saint John the Baptist, And he shall go before Him in the spirit and power of Elias: ... .
After Our Lord came down from the mountain with Peter James and John they asked, "Does not the scriptures say Elias must come first and restore all things". And Our Lord said to them, Elias will indeed come and restore all things but I tell you Elias has already come and they did not recognize him but did as they will to him as it is written of him such as they will do to the Son of Man".

That is a bad interpretation. The prince of Persia is a FALLEN angel a FALLEN principality. Why would Michael have to fight to get in and fight to get out? Took 21 days for just prayer to be answered by God.
Thanks Daniel (appropriate name there!). I did wonder about this too, I’ll need to read the Early Fathers to figure out what they meant but as ‘Prince’ in Hebrew can refer to a chief, military leader but also especially angels it’s really rather confusing. Holy Angels disagreeing is disconcerting to say the least! And also when elsewhere scripture says ‘put not your trust in princes’ it’s even more confusing. And also John 12:31 mentions Satan as prince of the world. Very confusing!!
