In fairness, a good soundtrack is not evidence that a video game is art. Music is its own art, and a video game that has music _contains_ art. Just like a video game with good visuals also _contains_ art. Many video game _contain_ art, but not all video games _are_ art, in my opinion. The game's interactivity has to convey artistic meaning in a way that goes beyond the graphics, soundtrack, or writing if a game is to truly be art.
3:40 is the best part. I imagine the camera flying over endless scenarios taking place in an interstellar empire: Gigantic artillery sections of a military space station at the nations border, the buzz on a Bazar of a small planetary spaceport at the edge of the galaxy, an admiral standing with his arms crossed behind his back looking at the bridge of the fleets flagship, a lone science ship slowly moving towards an uncharted star system to explore the furthest territories of space *Goosebumps*
Netflix no way. Will be cringe, because they wouldn't dare to portrait the Authoritarian Spiritualist as the good guys and they will portrait the good guys making gayest ethic combination. being a cheap and far zoophilic version version of star trek

@@andreaswaldetoft3345 Mr. Waldetoft, I'm commenting to you again to tell you how your music still doesn't cease to amaze me. It's like your compositions struck a very nerve in my heart. It's tough to describe! However, I wanted to ask you how the musicians under your direction felt. Did they like to play the Stelarris OST? How did they feel recording this epic work?
YES YES YES!!! I've wanted something like this for a long time now!! I'm a huge fan of Waldetoft's work and to listen to these magnificent pieces over and over and lean back and enjoy them...you've no idea how much I've ached to put music to words, pictures, movement... Thank you so much for this. Might not seem like much to some but a thing like this just sets my heart ablaze. This OST just moves someone so much and just fills you with such a sense of wonderment and curiosity, fear and bravery at the same time. Music can do such strange things to the mind.
I so much love this song since I found it...but I never found a live performance. How come this one exists since 3 years and I never got to see it? Oh, life, oh, life... Well, what can I say, this piece is an amazing poem about the greatness of universe, and about the journey of life to explore it and discover its marvels. Powerful, yet with a profound sense of soft flow...A masterpiece, so sum up. Glad to see so many people finding it as enjoyable. Happy new year 2023 for everyone!
Andreas, you really should make more space OST for movies, shows or games. Stellaris is a great game because the music puts you in the game but the score itself is a true masterpiece. Once again, thank you for that, and for music for other games (such as Hearts of Iron, really inspiring too!)
I trully stumbled on this "Stellaris soundtrack" randomly while listening to video games music. And What a surprise!! From the firsts notes, it absolutely caught my attention right away. Stellaris soundtrack is wonderful. Thanks you very much for sharing such a beautiful art with us!

Dear Mr. Waldetoft, thank you very much for your work and the wonderful music you are giving us. I very much hope to hear more from you. Greetings from Germany to Sweden.
This was recorded in Germany! Thank you so much, I am pretty sure you will hear more from me as I am writing loads of music as we speak. Hope you get to hear it!

What a diamond....This is absolutely epic. I was reading Horus Heresy warhammer novel and had some music on the background, then this came up at 3:40 . Gods! The chills are still here. I consider myself a lover of epic scores and you mr Andreas are one of my all time favourite composers of all times. Epic, valiant, truthful score. Thank you
While I love the whole composition, and the entire soundtrack in general, the part beginning at 5:20 through to 6:00 absolutely sums up the wonder and excitement that I feel the game tries to encapsulate. Absolutely one of my favourite compositions from anything!
Truth is, I don't play the game that often... but I have been studying for aerospace engineering and just got the news that I got accepted into a master's degree in aerospace engineering in college and this is the main music that's been in my head in the past couple of months as I've been studying. It is inspiring and I hope it helps me focus on this new challenge. Thank you, Andreas.
I just got Europa Universalis IV and I was amazed at the soundtrack almost immediately. Had to look up your work. I sincerely hope more people hire you. Your music has to be in many more games like that. Good work!
Super cool to see that video footage of the orchestra, thanks for uploading! This track is my favorite from Stellaris; in the right mood, it can bring me to tears. That's the highest praise I can give to any art.

Creation and Beyond remains one of my favorite scifi pieces - and orchestral pieces - of all time. I've been playing Stellaris since 2018, and this track STILL gives me chills, every time it comes up; and in the main title themes of every single major DLC. It is magnificent, and speaks of the magnificence and wonder of space - in the end, what Stellaris is all about. I had no idea you had a youtube channel, but I'm delighted to find out!

It is art as is the development of cinema. We call it “cinematic” for that reason”.
