I feel the same as you...at the time I was only 4 years old, so, of course I found out about this music later...in 1973, and, I don't know why, since the very first time, it gave me a taste of something good in the past...this music seems to be containing a compelling sense of a melancholic nostalgia.....otherwise, how could I feel nostalgic for a time I didn't live ?!?.....I don't know !

There's an old black and white video on UA-cam of the orchestra recording the instrumental in the studio, it's fun to watch if you like strings. Great song choice!

However, he only has 3% of his hearing left, and it grieves me that he can no longer enjoy this song because he can no longer hear it.
