I know the owner of this car, and having been in it, it is simply astounding. I was especially surprised by how comfortable it was, and how great the view out the front was, although the view is non existent out the back, a trait that Lamborghini have always had haha. I believe it to be my favourite car of all time. and this is the best colour

a neighbor drove by with that same color. i wanted to do a 180 and follow him until he pulled over but i wimped out. i think anyone who has one of these is a true connoisseur since they are uncomfortable and harder to maintain. i absolutely love the design. classic teardrop style like the older Jaguars, Toyota 2000GT, Opel GT, Datsun Z, Ferrari Dino

that popping noise sounds like the carbs backfiring so either the engine is very cold or the timing is out, if the engine is cold the guy driving it shouldn't really be caining it down the road like that...its an old car after all and needs to sit idling for 10 minutes to warm up. I believe the gearbox oil and engine oil are shared on certain models of Muira.
Yes this is way too much. Since it was happening on decel, to me it seemed like the classic problem of exhaust manifold leaking. Something is definitely not right here. You may be right about the engine cold here, others are remarking that it sounds "great" but I disagree. I have heard plenty of Lambo engines, and this one sounds off. I would like if a Lambo expert chimes in on this one.
@christoph404 All Miuras shared gearbox and engine oil except for some of the late SV's with the split sumps. You had to select a grade and quality of oil that was suitable for both purposes, I forget now what grade it was. All miuras popped on the overrun or a trailing throttle, typical of 6 slightly rich-running twin choke downdraft Webers dumping unburnt fuel down the tubes lol. They were prone to bursting into flames for good reason 😱😱

Beautiful, and I love lambos, but given his sole reason for creating cars was to be better or more 'user friendly' then the Ferrari he had owned, surely he failed miserably with all but his very first car ? The muira had bad electrics, bad driving position and heavy controls, traits which followed on into the countach and stayed right up until the diablo.

I agree. It's a car that's nice to look at. And that's really it. If I had one, I would drive it maybe once or twice a week. I'm assuming it's not a very easy car to drive.
It probably was more user friendly back then. It wasnt so much about making it more user friend as making it a better sports car. The farari he bought he hated the transmission because it was "like a tractor" and other sort of things like that. But I think at the time this was made it was what he wanted
Uncle Meat im not being funny mate but the car turned 50 years old today. Somebody would be driving an old Gt40 just the same... Its an old car and especially seeing as its not his, im not surprised hes not chucking it into corners on the rev limiter and slicing through the gears. You wouldn't, i wouldn't, nobody would.
