My mother loved Elvis from the moment he burst onto the world stage so I was raised on his music but when I turned 17, I watched the Elvis miniseries which featured his music and fell in love with him on my own and then, my 4 year old niece fell in love with him as well so at one time in our family there were three different generations fighting over who loves him the most. Elvis is passed from one generation to the next and I love seeing new people discovering Elvis.

Christmas Eve morning, 1988 I was passing through Memphis (where Elvis had lived) of all places, listening to the radio. They announced that Elvis was going to speak about Christmas. Part of it I remember: " I want to speak about Christmas, and you know I would love some Christmas cookies" (he gobbles a few, and continues) "let's see, I was talking about the love and peace of Christmas and I would love a piece of pie, go ahead slide that over." (You heard him grab a couple of spoonfuls, then continues) "I was talking about the love of Christmas and I would love some cake. Go ahead and give me a piece."
I was howling with laughter and nearly crashed my car. OMG, one of the funniest things I have ever heard.
