I never knew John Deere was so hard to change the fluids. Glad u got it all done. Enjoyed watching and listening to you explain what u r doing. Thanks 🙏
What was so hard to do here? Looked pretty simple and straight forward to me. Maybe it just seemed that way to you because he was taking his time to explain everything.
@@stephensfarms7165 Yes, me too. I thought maybe you saw something I missed somewhere. Maybe just seems that way compared to the brand you have experience with then?
It was actually very easy. Watch me change the oil in my old T5 that was way worse. The filters are terrible to get at and two drain plugs one I had to make a special tool to get out. Thanks for watching take care!
404nitro it is simple to maintain no complaints at all here. It did take me a while to do it but mainly because of filming and explaining everything I was doing just like you said. Filming makes things take at least twice as long.
Thanks for making the videos on servicing a John Deere tractor, I enjoyed watching it and found it very informative and I didn’t know what NM torque was and now I know. Take care.
Nice video l have similar ex ODOT 6110R. I like the monitor bracket you have. I know you said Sloan but They don’t list 6110R in fit list. You wouldn’t know which one it was??? Thanks
You didn't even need to put a garbage bag around that one. On the filters that don't go into a canister take a punch and put a hole in the bottom so it can drain. Do you ever do oil analysis?I like it because if we see a sample come back dirty we can decide what to do from there but you can catch major failures before they get too bad.
Did the filter instructions say whether to fill the canister/filter first before re-installing it? Sometimes they say to and some say explicitly not to. Some don't say either way.
Dennis, ridin green here- since you don't do row crop work, have you considered widening the tires/wheels a little for even more hillside stability while doing hay work?
@@DLHFarms I only asked because I remember you talking about it being kinda sketchy in a couple fields with bad hills while baling towards the end of summer
hey Dennis., was just watching this video as I have a 6155 r that I want to change the hydraulic filters on,,, this might be a dumb questions but you don't drain the hydraulic oil out and replace when you fo a filter change?
Dennis. I made a video on our 6120, do you care if I send you a link to it in the comments on here ? Would it be ok with you if I send you other videos that arnt on our 6120E?
No not typically. It’s easy to introduce trash into the wrong side of the filter accidentally and cause yourself problem. If the book doesn’t specifically say to do it I don’t do it.

Awesome glad you learned something!
My ocd was killing me on the last video and this one seeing you not clean the oil up around the drain pan and off the frame from where it spilled. lol
That’s what the pressure washer is for
Great video Dennis. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks

Hey there DL, Well, don't you just get all the fun stuff to do. Haha! Have a great day man.
Haha

Dennis Harrell The old oak tree had took down when you grew up with.
Great video thank you for sharing you are doing a great job 👍
Thanks!

It doesn’t say but this one primes itself no problem
@@DLHFarms I was thinking primarily of the hydraulic filter. The fuel systems on JD's prime themselves, even on my 2004 CUT :-)

I think it’s plenty wide and stable.

The Tractor isn’t sketchy but the accumulator can be at times

No not every time. You change the filters every 500 hours and the fluid every 1500 hours.
Do you have an extra one of them canister things? Looks like it would make a nice coffee thermos.
How are you guys coming on that seeder thing you bought?
Haha on the thermos! It’s almost done need to make another video on it.
@@DLHFarms alright
Excellent video.
Thanks
Does the drive shaft rub that plate sometimes? Maybe you mentioned that already?
It apparently does but it doesn’t seem to hurt anything but the paint

I wonder if that was a 30mm socket you needed for that canister.
Probably so

What is the torque spec on those filters?
Don’t remember but it’s on the filter housing for the cartridge filter then I Normally tighten spin ons as tight as I can by hand.
Write 1 1/4" on the filter
Good plan
Seems like a bad place for that cartridge filter .
It’s in the same place on our big New Holland that’s pretty common.
I was thinking the same thing. I Thought maybe it was the camera angle making it look lower than it was. I’m afraid I would tear it off brush hogging.
