Michael Cosentino Discharge 7.21.21

St. Peter’s Boys High School Principal and alumnus Michael Cosentino was discharged from Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) this afternoon after 40 days at the hospital battling COVID-19.
Cosentino was admitted to RUMC on June 12, and sent almost immediately to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Four days after being admitted to the ICU, Cosentino was placed on a ventilator to assist his breathing. He would require the assistance of a ventilator until July 17 when he was able to resume fully breathing on his own.
Under the care of RUMC’s physicians, specialists, nurses, and medical staff 24/7 since being admitted, today, Cosentino left RUMC to continue his recovery at home with his family.
