I'm just looking for a straight up answer about laser etching on clear polycarbonate with a diode laser and using black poster board or cardstock to place polycarbonate on. Would I get same results as compared to clear acrylic? I can get an immeasurable amount of scrap poly from work for my laser hobbies at home..poly vs acrylic just one is sturdier than the other? Does poly give off harmful fumes when lasering vs acrylic?? Sorry lots of questions but I just need to know before starting larger projects..Thanks a Bunch!

How many Watt has your laser? I think not every power is be able to mark transparent surfaces?
