Seems like a good value.
On another note, Sig should ramp up MCX production...
Agreed! Been trying to get my hands on one for years and am not willing to go to the resale market.
@@PloKoonDS I ordered a Spear LT the day they started taking orders. That was 43 days ago. I see them trickling in on gunbroker and going for $4k.
@@brandonrides8953 I didn't know they were taking orders for them directly. No one around me can get them in. Thanks for the intel, will be investigating.
glad i live in NH
@@williamwinn948 Same. but the SEC has issues stocking popular models too.
You created the truly anyone's rifle nice job Sig Sauer your always innovating 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In a market flooded with product it’s good to see innovations and different designs. SIG looked at Glock and said let’s do the opposite and innovate and bring new and different products to market. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one of these soon.
There is not innovative about this rifle, is cool though
This is what I've been waiting for
You guys will drop something new every week instead of just making more MPX’s and MCX’s
Bought this rifle yesterday. Going to the range Wednesday. Cant wait seems like a good rifle.
How is it?
Yeah how’s it lookin?
It's pretty awesome! I was afraid that the 1 in 7 twist rate would make it so I couldn't accurately shoot 55 grain bullets. But at 75 - 100 yards this gun is crazy accurate. Got a Romeo 5 red dot scope on it now.
Excellent platform!
I love my m400 tread :)
Me too! Got one in July and couldn't be happier! She runs like a top!
I’ve got a standard M400 Tread - so I’m guessing that this handguard wouldn’t fit on it because this is an “SDI X Series” and not part of the regular Tread line, even though it’s still an M400?
Is the upper and lower receivers forged or billet?
I know you guys used this lower in the “Switchblade” version pistol and I am hopeful you bring this back to a pistol version since the Switchblade is all but out of production.
Will one be available without a forward assist?
2:54
4.4-6.5 lb. is kind of a wide range for what is advertised as a match trigger.
Can I slap a mcx virtus upper on this lower?
Is there one that’s gas piston?
Why are there literally only two videos of this rifle on UA-cam?
Because it just came out..?
@@justinlavigne2573 we are sitting at five months now and there are literally three videos.
@@CMH_1975 I did some research and have come to find out that they actually have been out for some time now but for some reason not many people have them, also a lot of gun stores didn’t have them for quite some time. My local gun store has three of them priced at 1299.00, it’s quite a jump in price when you’re only getting a couple new features from the standard model. And because of your original comment and just what I have seen for myself I have been hesitant on wanting to purchase it for myself.
@@justinlavigne2573 I've only seen one in a store so far, but store is a SIG Elite dealer or whatever they're called. It was $1299 as well. After buying a MPX-K a few weeks ago, I definitely like the full ambi MCX style lower this has and the full picatinny rail on the handguard. I tend to buy things that come with everything I want out of the box and then I add my choice of irons, optic, light and other little stuff. I just don't understand why SIG isn't advertising this gun as much as a lot of their pistols.
This is cool but just make the 550 in the states and offer that to the market
American Defense Manufacturing UIC Mod1 offers the same features, same stock plus a ambi magazine release and the ALG ACT trigger which is 4.5 pounds. It's $1600 on their website. Their MOD 2 that has all of this features plus the Geissele G2S trigger is $2000. What's the price on this carbine?
100% So many knock offs now.
$1400 says sigs website
@@Cool7141 Thank you.
Can you imagine trying to be a logistics/inventory guy in Exter New Hampshire?
👍👍
Meanwhile, I have yet to find in-depth consumer reviews of this rifle. It's a shame because it's certainly piqued my interest.
This
I love my m400 tread I’ve had it for 3 years now and a lot of range visits with no hiccups and hardly any maintenance at all I just but a nickel boron bcg for it but I’m looking into getting this one this month I’ll let you know
It just came out, gonna have to wait for people to buy them and do reviews.
@@justinlavigne2573 it's been almost six months since it came out. Still only 3-4 videos/reviews of it.
Is it true that the US Army, Oman Army, Philippines Army, and Switzerland military use this following semi-automatic rifle: SIG Sauer SIGM400?
I ask because of what's said about it in wikipedia, here's the link:en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIG_Sauer_SIGM400
Isn't it clarified that semi-automatic clones of assault rifles, submachine guns and light machine guns are exclusively for civilian market?(I mean, they are not military weapons)
Sheeesh government contracts means a new release every 6 months lol.
Will standard AR triggers and drop-ins fit in the lower? Just in case I want to swap out the trigger?
Well yea….
I feel like this very similar to the pro
For the win how much does it weigh
7lbs w/mag unloaded
If you’ve ever bought a new sig product only to have it later recalled for a safety issue, go ahead and hit that like button.
I saw something wrong with the new Mcx spear lt alright correct?
😂
I crotch carry my Sig P320. I live dangerously 😎
If you still have some sig rifles you bought in the last ten years that they no longer support, go ahead and subscribe
@@HB-kp6rl i noticed that was going to buy an mcx virtus and went to look on sigs website for spare parts and all they show is the spear lt which replaced it .
Is it drop safe?
Always an important question.
So my snake bite se is pretty much the same…
I have a snakebite SE as well, other than the lightning cuts, the index bolt release by the mag release, and the full rail for the hand guard they are pretty similar... I have to ask because maybe I haven't been around ARs enough to tell from sight alone but.. is our Snakebite SE a carbine length gas system? Sig never specified but it kind of looks like it to me.
No CHF barrels?
Immediately stood out to me as well. Since he didn't specify, I imagine it's nitrided as well.
I believe most Sig barrels are CHF but nitrided.
Lol stop sipping the koolaid. Button is perfectly fine.
Whats the price point?
looks like $1300msrp so 1200'ish street
Seems promising at the price point. That said, it’s not a true weapon until Sage Dynamics hammers it around.
get ready to have to pay to see his opinion starting Jan 1st.
Cool rifle but holy Jeebus Batman the shooter’s stock placement in his shoulder … 🤔🤨
Yea it aight, pretty much anything you can make ambi. Newsflash we want all ARs bufferless!
"most ergonomic"
*still has the t handle*
Yeah, okay.
Why is he holding the rifle like that!!??? Haha 😂
I don't think that's how u say that word
that'll be $5000
0:24 the official sig guy does not know how to even properly shoulder the rifle...
😆😆
I just attended a Sig class. This is how they are teaching it today. Sure felt different, but I see their reasoning. for using the close to collar bone hold.
@@snakeman48 what is the reasoning may i ask?
i can understand 223/556 does not have much recoil but i would not try this with an ar-10 style rifle.
@@lovrop I eye is always inline with the sight. You just lift you head and look over the sight, and drop back down in a fluid motion. We were only using MPX's and MCX's. Large caliber was handled with the Cross.
It went against the grain of all the other training I had in the past. But once we students got the hang of it, it was easier to acquire target acquisition, especially in shooting on the move drills.
AMBIDEXTROUS, NOT AMBIDEXTRIOUS. I know English is hard...
We could deal without the bright ass big X lasered on the side
why did you guys abandon the M400 with the piston systems?
You mean the 516?
My m300 pro way better
