the (fake) death of Quark, the Phoenix besieged, Skidd robotized, Clank kidnapped... The story had become so dark and dramatic, that's what made this episode so epic. R&C 3 is the best.
To those of you commenting about this being from Ratchet and Clank 1, you are right. This is the theme of the Snagglebeast, the very first boss you face in the game after being betrayed by Quark. That might be why some of you are having trouble placing when in the game it occurred, given this theme only plays in the first game once.
@@yourboyrussell6738 The Alien Queen is encountered on an optional mission path. After beating the boss you get the grindboots, which you will need to get the Gaspar infobot on planet Batalia, which is the level unlocked after beating the Snagglebeast. So, technically, Snagglebeast is the first boss, because it's the first one you need to beat to advance the story.
Except, compared to the RY3NO, the RYNOCERATOR actually kinda sucks. A screen nuke? Really? Couldn't they at least have made a screen nuke its own weapon like the Zodiac from the second game?
@@mustafmohamed368 Yes, but the fact that it's still up and you're still active on this account doesn't really make it a difference. Sorry if I sound too serious and boring, btw. I try not to.
Dont worry, Sony made way too many PS2s back in the day so you'll easily be able to find one. A copy of this game wont be hard tk find after that, probably wont cost that much on ebay for the whole lot.
I don't think he wants time machine to play it normally on ps2, he wants time machine to go back in time and play this for the first time as a kid, without a single worry in the world...
I had trouble my first time through. Then I remembered I had a Rift Inducer. It sucked... everything into a black hole for maximum convenience (though the hole needed a bit of a boost for the bigger bots), save for the twin gunner giant bots. Which I promptly shot. With super deadly ninja stars and rockets.
HOLY SHIT ITS THE SNAGGLEBEAST. My first thoughts when I heard this music. Seriously, that fuggin' beast killed me so many times. Killin' that thing was my first real accomplishment as a young gamer. It's also kickass to hear this nostalgic track in the 3rd game.:p The PS3 games need to remake some of these older songs...
Hey I remember this music from R&C1 when you were fighting the Snugglebeast or what in Quark's HQ on planet Umbris! Man it is such a heroic theme! That boss sucked all my RYNO ammos off and that was the first and only time in the game I actially picked up RYNO ammo from the ground :D
I remember there was some sort of "Nanopak" thing hidden in this level... secret item or something that stores extra Nanotech and releases it when you are critically low on it. It was quite hard to find, even with the Map-o-Matic, as you had to search wayyyyyyy off in the distance for a Hypershot target floating in the wreckage of the ship.
@PanORotta My least favourite Weapon would have to be the Infector. Even when upgraded, it's useless. And the Holoshield glove was pointless since they allow you to get the Shield Charger from the previous game and it's more useful. Whenever playing through Challenge Mode for example. I only use the N90 Hurricane, Nitro Eruptor, Shock Cannon, Decimator, Multi Disc Gun, Rift Ripper and Plasma Storm. Not really a lover of the rest of them.
Difficulty steep in the game for sure. I think the biggest factor is that up until this part in the game, you could do well without upgrading much of your stuff. The Daxx troopers were tough but not placed in very challenging ways or in great numbers. Now you have to deal with a monster amount of them while constantly under fire from their 2-3 shot pellets that they fire full auto. *And* they're much stronger than the ones just a level or two before them. They don't receive hitstun from being attacked unlike most normal enemies and the checkpoints are separated far from each other.

the first time i played this level it took awhile for me to get more offensive and beat the level- yeah thats the key, be good at dodging and be offensive to KILL 'em all!!
hey if anyone needs lots of wpn exp go to this planet kill all the enemies then jump into the gooey plasma substance and all the troops will respawn for you to kill. I got agents of dread from that method.
In Starship Phoenix Under Attack i bought the rifle weapon at level 1 and killed the first ninjas for some massive xp, and after that i let myself die so i could kill them again. Upgrading the rifle from lvl 1 to 5 there took 5 mins :D

Ratchet a Clank 1 2 3 4 and 5 is my favorite xD Ratchet a Clank futture better gameplay and graphics but doesn't like me so much beacuse music isn't good and the most characters miss and i miss them and starship phoenix where is it i wanted too!!!!

+Tommy Typhlosion XDDDDD same thing happened to me. I needed that advice. The skill curve for this level was so high.
I've completed the game with no armour.
Considering recording a No Armour run just to prove it is possible.
+Zenihdrol buying no armour is considered expert mode.
Yeah. That happened to me too. However, I was going it with no armor like a boss.
i managed to buy the last armor before NG+ = Easy Final Boss
anybody remember the blargian snagglebeast music on umbris
old classics never get old

yep up your arsenal and locked and loaded were the best i wanna see if the new ratchet and clank can remake those moments

The second. The Alien Queen in Nebula G34 was the first. Sure, it was a mini boss, but it kind of counts as a boss anyway.

This one was the BIGGEST pain the ass for me out of every other level in the game. Seriously.
I feel you.
I just used the Flux rifle and sniped everyone down XD
This soundtrack was also used in RC1 in qwarks hideout level can't remember that well. This one sounds much more epic though!
The soundtracks are similar but not the exact same ones.
***** Ah sorry, i fucked up. You probably meant the snagglebeast fight. yea thats the same track. I thought you meant the Planet of Qwark itself.
Ur true, but it waa Qwarks Headquarters, not his hideout. The hideout is the Thran Asteroid.

Listen to the version of this song in the first Ratchet and Clank (Umbris, Snagglebeast fight). This version and that version are slightly different.
This level is super hard
this + headphones= EPICNESS ^_^
This soundtrack theme is awesome.
Definition of a ratchet and clank theme right here
The good old days too bad time travel is not possible...:(
Yeah. That is unfortunate.
you realize that there's emulators and HD remakes of this thing, right?

The music played in the first one on that planet where you fought Captain Quark's monster in that trap.
all i used to beat this was
liquid nitrogen gun and plasma whip
and jet boots
it was impossible to try and kill them all

Yep. It's somewhat useful since it patches you up when you're about to die, by like 50%, but I never seem to notice it, to be honest.
Hmm you're right. I think it's when you fight the Snagglebeast.
